I am more than happy with the service I have received from all the staff in the lettings department at this branch of Shipways. I have had dealings with Libbie, Brogan and Jemma, who have all been friendly and helpful and patient with me whenever any difficulties or problems have occurred! They helped to find me a flat to move into, and I feel confident that I would be able to speak to or otherwise contact any of these three if I have any future queries. The prospect and process of moving to a new property is always a daunting and potentially stressful one, but I am happy to say that Libbie, Brogan and Jemma have helped to make my transition as stress-free as possible. Thank you, Libbie, Brogan and Jemma! 😉 ----- UPDATE 10.10.23 Shortly after moving into my flat in June 2023, I have dealt mainly with Shantia Pink, one of Sequence's Property Co-ordinators, in relation to any issues I have had with my property. I would like to add to the above that Shantia has always responded promptly to any emails or texts I have sent her and has done her best to deal with any issues that have arisen, keeping me informed and following up new information and developments with relevant parties - all whilst maintaining a friendly and professional tone! Shantia is therefore always my first port of call whenever any issues or questions arise, and I always feel confident that she will tackle such to the best of her ability.

Shipways have been our main agents through our buying process, Gemma & Olivia were absolutely fantastic and were spot on when it came to organising viewings as well as accommodating us when we had to view late. They are a credit to the team and I thank them for all their help and honesty throughout the process! Another huge bonus which was a god send in the buying process was their Mortgage Advisor Matthew Gibbs, he got us an amazing deal on our Mortgage which during the current rise in APR was essential for us a first time buyers. He was always a phone call away and always got back to us even outside the normal working ours. He also took care of all of our communication with the solicitors, gave us regular updates and kept chasing for us, would hands down recommend him to anyone looking to buy in Kidderminster or the surrounding areas, especially first time buyers !

I have recently just rented a house with shipways and I cannot recommend them enough!!! Andrea is fantastic she made the whole process so enjoyable and easy, she's always got a huge smile on her face and is delighted to help in anyway. The response times from the team are fast so no waiting ages to get an reply. After renting the first time with another agency this past year and that agency being the worst people I have ever had the misfortune to know coming to shipways was a breath of fresh air. If your wanting to rent, sell or buy I would say use Shipways 100% !! They will save you from any and all stress. A big thank you to all the team there.

Extremely disappointing experience using Shipways Kidderminster to purchase our home. Communication was poor throughout, emails were ignored on multiple occasions, leaving us in the dark during crucial stages of the process. We were explicitly told the property was not part of a chain, only to discover later that it was a serious misrepresentation that added unnecessary stress and delays. Additionally, we were given misleading information about why the seller changed solicitors, raising further questions about the transparency and professionalism of the service. The final straw came on completion day. After our funds had been transferred and the sale was legally complete, we were told by Shipways that we still couldn’t access the property for another hour because the seller was still inside the house. This level of disorganisation is completely unacceptable. Would not recommend and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution if considering this branch.

Please note how majority of the good reviews are for the lettings team. We have dealt with Shipways as buyers several times, and experienced multiple issues. We have had times where we haven’t heard back on viewing properties to the point we had to contact vendors directly (even though we were first time buyers). When we viewed a property the agent told us it was a combi boiler, the vendor later told us the boiler was not a combi. There was no communication to the seller, in the end we had to update the seller ourselves as she had no response from Shipways through the whole transaction. When we completed on the property it took them 2 months to remove the board, we called several times and kept being told it would be removed but it never was until we called every day and had to pester. We were told an offer couldn’t be accepted until we spoke to their mortgage advisor even though I explained I already had my AIP in place for my mortgage and a mortgage advisor and was willing to provide details ASAP. They were so pushy and pretty much forced us to arrange an appointment with their advisor, as we were worried about our offer not being put forward. It’s such a shame we had such a negative experience buying our first house. The only positive claim would be their sales progresser Helen did respond to our emails when we started to chase things towards the end of the transaction and I found her to be an asset to the company. Again, pretty much all good reviews are for the lettings team, there’s not much positive to be said about the sales side from our experience.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Very worst place. I rented my property from them in February till April. The contract was for a year but the property they rented me it was the hell. Moulds, damps and slugs in special bedroom. I leave in hell. The single day which i spent it was horrible and stressed. Zero cooperations from shipway I always call them but the answer I got it was that they can’t help me I have to contact the owner of the flat. Please it is my humble request don’t go with them. I come to mark jones they are amazing and 100 times better than shipway but if you like to get experience of hell please go with shipway the moment you left the house or flat you will be traumatised and depressed.
