We decided to go with this agent as we were visited by Mark (Director) who assured us that he will be overseeing the whole process for us and we would only be speaking to his colleagues if he was away. We were happy with this approach and felt like he would go above and beyond for us to help ensure a quick sale for us. Unfortunately, this was not the case and we never heard from Mark again!!! However, I must thank David from the Goring Branch who was friendly, polite and kept us well informed. He is a true asset to Robert Luff and highly recommended.

This was the first time buying a house for my partner and I so as with many first-time buyers, we were absolutely unprepared! James Porter showed us around a couple of houses and seemed to know immediately what we were looking for. It only took two viewings before we found the one. James was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process from first enquiry, through to managing offers and then has regularly kept in touch since exchange to make sure we are all ok and kept up to date with any information. Aside from being very professional and proactive, James is also really easy going and friendly, genuinely paying attention and being on hand for any questions. The same goes for all of the rest of the team we have interacted with (Jamie, Dave, Dominic etc). I would highly recommend James and the team at Robert Luff if you are looking to buy.

I have been unfortunate to come across some really awful estate agents, some actual shockers, and then there are Luffs. I sold my family home some years ago with them, a difficult situation with them mediating with my ex-wife, they handled that with aplomb. So, when I wanted to sell my late fathers property in Worthing while living in Dorset, who did I ask? Luffs of course. Jamie and his team are lovely personable people, with great mediating and professional skills. His comms are brilliant, when he had a day off his team was fully briefed. His emails were on point and on the phone he was lovely to speak to whilst remaining professional. Would I have a chat to an estate agent at a party, yes but only if the were from Luffs. From start to finish David King was helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. Any issue which came up he had a solution or suggestion before my solicitor even contacted me. There were a number of issues along the way and as a first time seller I felt comfortable that David had these issues in hand. I couldn’t recommend David enough. Writing this review on behalf of my daughter who recently rented a property via Robert Luff. In short, the staff at RL bullied and intimidated my daughter when she ended her tenancy. They tried to withhold deposit funds for damage that existed at the start of the tenancy (thankfully she had photos to prove this) and also tried to claim cleaning costs, despite the fact that the property was left in a spotless condition (my wife spent a day there cleaning everything!). It was only when my daughter received help from the Tenancy Deposit Scheme that the deposit was returned to her. It took several weeks to resolve and caused my daughter a huge amount of stress and worry. RL should be ashamed of themselves for treating a young person in this way. It's no wonder estate agents get a bad name! Avoid at all costs if you're considering renting a property. Robert Luff acted disgracefully and totally unprofessionally and we are considering reporting them to the Estate Agents Ombudsman.

The most important part of buyng and selling is the communication and trust between you and your agent. Dave King was an absolute legend! When it came to sale of our house as you can guess with any house sale it was full of ups and downs. Dave was always at the end of the line answering every question and even chasing down the most difficult people. Like with any busy business I will say it is what you make it, and once we had established how we wanted to be communicated with the whole team at Robert Luff couldn't do enough to accommodate. They are very professional about any feedback given and act on it immediately. Working well together drove the best sale price from the property, and managed to gain not just one sale agreed, but a second within a week of the first falling through. I wanted to finish by saying another massive shout out to Dave. With one of the longest drawn out sales, he did everything to speed things up. Suggesting solutions to every problem and chasing down every contact to get the result through. I think with his skills and tenacity he could find the lock ness monster if a customer needed him to. What can I say about Jamie Bryant and his team at Robert Luff in goring that hasn’t already been said! They photographed, marketed and sold our house in Goring allowing us to move to Leicestershire even during the pandemic. They go way beyond the norm to ensure your property is marketed and presented in the most professional manner. Always striving to get your sale or purchase completed as quickly as possible even when things go awry, and always with the minimum of fuss to you. They certainly go to infinity and beyond wherever possible to chase up any other slow moving agents and solicitors in order to get you moving into your new home. Nothing is too much bother, they continually keep you updated with regard to your sale and subsequent purchase always setting your mind at rest and discussing any concerns with you. Always smiling and helpful, to be honest they become more a part of your family than just another Estate Agent and when you complete your move, they are happy to chat to you about the move and how it went. I cannot praise Robert Luff in Goring highly enough. Dave and James were absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. They were hungry for my business and right from the first meeting it was clear they really knew their trade. They instilled a great sense of confidence and were always quick to respond to any questions I had, making sense of legal speak and providing the perfect middlemen between lawyers, purchasers and myself. They were extremely personable and always went the extra mile on everything. When the inevitable minor bumps in the road occurred, they were calm and reassuring and I was always left feeling I was in safe hands. Despite a promising start it eventually took much longer than anyone expected but they were very accommodating and patient throughout. Unprofessional Agency

I am writing this disappointing feedback, maybe the agency will be more careful in the future about their agents when they send them to meet potential customers for viewings. Before the New Year, I found a propwrty for rent that looked spectacularly beautiful, with a pool, garage, good location, etc. Of course, at the market price. The description of the house mentioned "RECENTLY REDESIGNED". We applied for a viewing, but no one contacted us for 2 days, so we called the agency and arranged the viewing for January 7th. On the day of the viewing, someone from the agency called us to confirm the meeting once again and we were told that we would meet their manager at the property. We arrived at the street with the property and there was the first shock seeing that it was an unpaved and full of potholes access road. One of our cars is an Mercedes A45s AMG Sport, a low car. It was the ideal house, we could get over that because it was not the car I drive every day. We arrived 5 minutes early, the agent was almost 10 minutes late after the scheduled time. We were parked in the driveway waiting. Finally the manager appears and walks past us very quickly without making any contact or at least acknowledge our presence. Again, another red flag, when you try to rent a property for over £3000/month. We got out of the car and heading towards him, we looked at each other (my husband and I) because we didn't know what was happening. We didn't receive any welcome, he didn't apologize for being late, nothing! The manager was struggling to find the right key to unlock the door and with his back to us, he greeted us. Lacking manners and politeness, he finally invited us inside. During all this time, we could see that the gutters of the house (on the street) were loose in places and it was very clear how rainwater was seeping into the walls because they were damp and green, inside there was a very old smell of mould (if you know the smell of old books), walls full of mold, unpainted, the windows of the conservatory were fogged up between the two glasses, the backyard with the pool seemed effectively abandoned, unkempt. After these images, it made no sense to continue viewing and we told the manager that it was not “RECENTLY REDECORATED” at all and that that house was clearly not ready for rent. Of course, having no arguments, he told us that he would contact us the same day to show us other properties he has in his portfolio. Something that has never happened. We were not contacted, we did not receive any email, we did not receive any excuse that that house did not look anything like the pictures and that it did not look “RECENTLY REDECORATED”. I also noticed the manager's style of dress, with a corner of his shirt sticking out of his trousers, a linty jumper over it, a sports jacket and worn-out shoes. This is how the manager of an agency was dressed when he came to meet potential customers for renting a property of that kind. For those interested, it refers to the property on Mill Lane, in Worthing.

Great service, poor communication

Managed to get a viewing the same day I called which was great. I was told I'd be sent an application form but didn't receive one. After calling back the next day to chase the missing forms, I was told specific representatives allocated to the property would call me back. After no response for 2 hrs I called back where I was told I only get a form if the LL agrees to my req for application. I will update my review as I go through this process but so far the communication hasn't been great.
