It was a complicated sale for a number of reasons but the staff always went the extra mile to get a buyer, especially Emma who I dealt with most. Were the letting agents for a flat I rented. Bounced between Laura and Katherine during my time. A professional service and amenable to ensure they could accommodate when necessary to ensure I was present for inspections. As with any change over there were teething problems but I was always treated with respect and the team friendly. My main feedback would be that at times written communication can feel very direct and formal compared to face to face or over the phone; however this is likely due to the legal side of the business ensuring they’re covered.

Unheard, dismissed

I contacted this company on the 2/10/2025 looking to be put in touch with a local solicitor. I provided all my details and was asked for an overview of the circumstances. I was abruptly interrupted and told I 'provided enough' information. I felt dismissed and unheard. I told the initial call handler there is more information about two others incidents. The subject matter at hand is quite distressing for me. She said not to bother as I could discuss that with a solicitor. I was told a local solicitor would make contact within 48 hours which never happened. Not worth using this service. I have also attempted to review the service online directly on the website but not able to submit anything.

I was recommended Davison Solicitors by my estate agent. Then I read the reviews and was very nervous! However, Nathan was extremely helpful from the start, always answered my emails, I got assigned Samir as my solicitor (very pleased as I have read some great reviews about him), and unfortunately I had to pull out of buying the property due to some questionable cracks! I had already paid the initial £300 but they kindly refunded me, and everyone answered my emails, so in the future I will be using them.

We cannot fault the work of Yates & Co in Nottingham, specifically William Danvers.He patiently and diligently worked through our first (attempted) purchase which fell through due to the other conveyancers (see my other review). We kept the company on and Mr Danvers got our next purchase through within 8 weeks.He was very polite and professional, but also very friendly and personable as we got to know each other over the months.We're going to be putting more of work to them in the future, because we liked them so much.Highly recommend Yates & Co in Nottingham. "Quality"Solicitors Davisons, based in Solihull, was recommended to me by the estate agents selling the property, but did not deliver on quality, price, or any other metric. My solicitor Melissa was non-responsive to most of my requests and when she did respond, gave many reassurances and proposed timelines that she then consistently failed to meet. The icing on the cake was on a Wednesday when we neared completion and she said she'd get back to me with a date, so I rang her the next Monday and found out she was on leave for the foreseeable future. I am a solicitor myself, and have never dealt with such incompetence - I would be fired if I sent some of the rude emails that I received from my lawyer at Davisons. If you want to pay an additional £95 for accelerated completion, despite there being no speed involved whatsoever, this is the firm for you. Otherwise, I would avoid at all costs.

Cheaters no business ethics

Solicitors cheating their client have you ever seen. It is something like police to become thief. Builder delayed the hand over by 5 months and these people provided the wrong information saying I can’t break the contract. No compensation nothing, going to BBC to seeking for help. Also builder delivered wrong design, these people say we can’t do anything. Government should ban these solicitors. They purely act on behalf of builders because they referred them . Samantha Ingram and team, I am in process of taking matters to solicitor ombudsman to sue these people

Not worth 1 star!

I wouldn’t even give the Mere Green branch 1 star! We sold a second property and Laura Hart was instructed to deal with our sale. It was a disaster from the beginning, Laura never responded to emails or phone calls, it seemed she didn’t really know what she was doing or was going on and even on completion date, she made errors on the completion certificate! You get what you pay for, lesson learnt. I will never ever use this company again. We’re now in the process of selling our main home and buying another and the solicitor we’re using now have made me realise how bad Davidson actually were! Avoid the firm.
