We completely understand your frustration as a buyer, however our ability to exchange in this case relied upon when probate was finally granted. When it was, we only took 4 days to complete our work. The problem arose because whilst we can take a general view on timing in these cases, the ability to exchange relies upon the probate office and any issues with the executors. In this case the probate process was unnecessarily lengthy, resulting in unfortunate stress and complications for you. We are going to improve the advice we offer to prospective purchasers on this issue and in the meantime are very sorry for the problems you suffered.
