All of the staff at Susan Payne Estate agents were very efficient and helpful and made selling a property a real pleasure from the first valuation right through to completion. Susan valued the property herself initially, all of the staff came round so they knew the property ready for potential purchasers and then Jan kept an eye on the chain to ensure the sale remained on track.

GoogleWe were buying a property through Susan Payne and could not fault anything from the beginning of the process until the end. The company were very efficient especially Jan who chased everything up on our behalf, Winnie for showing us around and Ruth for allowing me to visit the property out of hours, to check some repairs had been corrected. Top service and nothing was too much trouble.

GoogleWe eventually sold our property through Susan Payne. The owner is very passionate about her business and doesn't take feedback well. When trying to discuss the need to turn up early and prepare the property for viewing she argued that they did this on every viewing despite the fact we had cctv contradicting her claims. She ended up having a massive hissy fit which was completely unprofessional. To give credit she did apologise 24 hours later. Unfortunately at this point I had lost all respect for this business and gave two weeks notice to remove the property from the market and it was followimg this instruction they found a buyer. We were top of a chain of 5 and Jan brought it all together despite some challenges at the end. My overall feeling is that like all estate agents they work for the buyer and not the seller who is paying the fee.if you can accept your head might get bitten off if you need to challenge anything the Susan Payne is the agent for you.

Susan Payne have been amazing for us to deal with. Buying a new home is always a stressful experience for everyone involved. But the care, consideration and attention that the team gave to us was brilliant. Happily recommend them to anyone looking to move home. A special shout out to Jan Tooley who was stellar in phoning back and doing exactly what she said she would do. Hopefully we won't be moving again any time soon, but would happily use Susan Payne based on this experience. :)

GoogleAbsolutely appalling service. Though they did try and improve but too little too late. The House we looked at we were told by Susan Paynes staff that the blown window would be replaced ( it hasn’t been) and the multi fuel burner heated the house with the doors all open. When in fact the log burner. Not multi fuel as advertised, wasn’t able to be used due to large( hidden) cracks, if we hadn’t realised the log burner was cracked and lit it - the consequences could have been catastrophic! We were told the drains had been moved as there was planning permission for a 2 story extension at the back of the house, when in fact after research we discovered the extension is in the side of the house Basically they will tell you anything to see the house sold and there is absolutely zero contact with them afterwards. Would certainly never recommend them. We had been warned not to use them but didn’t think they could be as bad as we had been told but sadly it was true.

The team at Susan Payne was professional and supportive from beginning to end. Special mention to Rachel who spent two hours with us finding out about our home and taking a superb collection of photos. Her written description reflected the artistry of her images and communicated so powerfully to the reader that we had 15 viewings booked within the first two days of the advertisement appearing. Caroline and Sarah continued the good work, conveying a knowledgeable and expert impression of the house to clients.Jan, the Office Manager, was always ready to deal quickly and efficiently with any queries that we had about the sale. Our overriding impression was of a close knit team who worked very well together and believed in what they were doing. Susan Payne and her brother set the tone when they came to value the house, looking for the positives and immediately taking an interest in us as well as in the style of our home. We cannot praise the team at Susan Payne highly enough.

Choosing Susan Payne Property to sell our home was definitely the right one. Excellent customer care, communication and support throughout the whole process - which took a while! Jan Tooley especially is an absolute diamond. She did, what I'm sure is a difficult job at times, with such dedication and friendliness that it really did feel as though we were her only clients! We have been very pleased with the help and support we have received from Susan Payne Property, from the initial viewing of the property all the way through the purchasing process we have been kept well informed as to how everything was progressing. Jan Tooley in particular has been excellent, she is proactive and has been great at keeping us calm when things were going a little awry. All phone calls were answered and all emails responded to in a timely fashion which all helped to make us feel that our concerns were important even though we know the workload at Susan Payne has increased massively over the last few months and with it I would imagine so has the pressure the staff are under. Special mention also for Sarah who showed us round the property initially, she was well informed and friendly and was very helpful in responding to queries and keeping things moving along whilst Jan was on leave. GoogleThe actual sale and the assistance up to the handing over the keys of the property was very good. My only issue is with the follow up once we had moved in. There was no follow up whatsoever. Possibly it is different in UK than in South Africa where there is professional customer care. Not one single phone call or visit after we moved in. Disappointing.
