Whiteknights recently helped me and my elderly father sell his house. The service Gary and Dani provided was excellent., caring and very professional. They kept us both fully informed about any viewings arranged and readily answered any questions we had regarding selling the house. I would recommend Gary and his team at Whiteknights to anyone who is thinking of selling a house.

Refuse to let you view any properties unless you speak to their financial advisor first. I am more than happy to provide proof of funds if I am interested in a property, but I'm not willing to share all my personal financial details before I'm allowed to see any properties. I also believe that it goes against the estate agents code of conduct to discriminate against buyers who do not wish to use any in-house services. So sellers, be aware that good buyers with finances already in place may not be allowed to view your property - apparently, according to Whiteknights, refusing to show such people any properties is "what sellers want".

Dear SL G, Really sorry that you were not entirely happy with our procedures, however these have been put in place as a result of the Covid Pandemic and in line with our industry guidelines. We assure all clients selling their home that anyone visiting is pre-qualified and can actually afford the property. This may also reduce the number of unnecessary visitors to their home given the current Covid situation. We really hope you appreciate our caution and in our view, professionalism given the circumstances we all find ourselves in. Gary Waite, Whiteknights

Very pathetic, unprofessional, abominable and atrocious service. They checked us for weeks and prolonged the hand over, but when the time came for them to keep up the end of their bargain they were ready to hand over a disheveled, begrimed and inhabitable house, with fungus on appliances and stains of urine on matresses and excrection all over the toilets. During the checking they reassured us that they would have the house professionally cleaned however they now refuse to clean the house and have wasted our time and money.

I have an excellent experience with Estate Agencies having moved more than ten times in eight years. I have always rented through agencies and this last time was with WhiteKnights. My first experience with WhiteKnights was outstanding and I would recommend to anyone who has some concerns/doubts about estate agencies, whether you are planning to rent or buy, to contact WhiteKnights. Honesty and customer services are their strong points and this is what you need when you deal with an agency. You need to feel that they are here to help you and make your stay or buy as great as possible and WhiteKnigths have understood that perfectly. I have never felt supported and understood as well as I felt I was with WhiteKnights. With all the other estates agencies (more than 7 in total) that I have some experience with, I have always felt that I had to fight for a response or justify my queries. In my opinion WhiteKnights is a perfect example of what we, as future tenants or buyers would want from an estate agency. Thanks particularly to Lynne Phillips whose professionalism and efficiency is to be recognised. All the best to WhiteKnights. They deserve it.

We sold and purchased our property through Whitenights Woodley and John Bennett or JB as I like to call him was just excellent. Never had to chase the chap - always called or mailed with an update. Thanks JB - keep up the good work! JB is a great guy with a good sense of humour and was a pleasure dealing with him and WhiteKnights! The whole office is so helpful - Tom and Gary too so thanks!

We worked with Tom Fisher at Whiteknights to progress our purchase. I was deeply impressed with Tom's professional approach. He was on top of the actions, clearly communicated and managed the expectation to speed up the purchase process. I wish him all the success in the future.

Happy I'm not selling with Whiteknights myself, Unable to get a viewing booked on any property after 1.5wks of phone calls. Calls not returned, and insisting on a affordability check with my full financial details handed to a 3rd party mortgage Broker ("Mortgage Advice Bureau") from a cold call, simply to arrange a viewing. This breaches data protection as such checks are only a requirement once a purchase is going through. Only response I can get from their reception "its not a priority to get back to you" , this as a perspective buyer.

We chose Whiteknights because of a combination of their reputation and because they were willing to sell our home for more than the other estate agents in the area. A promise they delivered on. When our first buyers dropped out Whiteknights rapidly secured half a dozen more, and were endlessly supportive, positive, and patient throughout the whole ordeal, always able to offer help to keep things moving forward no matter how chaotic the situation or how many bumps there were in the road.

This review is probably more related to a landlord considering letting their property through this company. Very disappointed with recent communications and maintenance work carried out by someone contracted through Whiteknights with regards to a property I let. I have exchanged numerous emails in relation to the maintenance work but I’ve still no idea what exactly happened with the work carried out in September to an unsatisfactory standard - did your recommended handyman ever actually repair the work? It would also be helpful if you could make tenants aware of their responsibility to keep the property in good repair and make minor repair work to anything broken through their own use. I was also very confused as to why their managing director, Nigel, felt it was in any way appropriate to say “try not to get upset” in recent correspondence. That’s a highly unprofessional way to address a customer who is frustrated at sub par service with issues related to a tenant sourced by Whiteknights. I had previously experienced some good service from this company but that is easy to provide when things go smoothly, so it’s just a shame that when a problem arises and I require their expertise, that I am left feeling let down.

In an industry which, often rightly, attracts a lot of criticism I have to say what a refreshing change it is to deal with Whiteknights of Woodley. Staff are very friendly, always return your call and keep you fully up to date with matters as they proceed through the tortuous buying and selling roller coaster. I was buying a house from a Whiteknights customer, and so were not employing them, but it did not feel that way. They regularly called with updates to reassure us and regularly went above and beyond the usual estate agent remit. Lovely touch at the end was a huge bunch of flowers when we moved in! Without doubt would use them to sell our place if/when that time comes. Top marks all round!!

Brilliant Team, extremely customer focused, we couldn’t fault a single thing with our house purchase. Special mention to Gary who balances both the buyer and the seller interests perfectly.

Having worked for White Knights as a first job, they really are a very honest and consultative estate agency. With all of the stories you hear about "crooks" in the estate agency game, i'm pleased to say that having worked for this business for 18 months, White Knights estate agents genuinely offer a true and honest appraisal of the market and value of your property. I have nothing associated with this firm, and haven't done so for the past 14 years, but felt the need to promote this business having dealt with several poor and un-honest estate agents in London. Welcome back to the old fashioned and honest way of doing business. Stuart Vines, London
