GoogleMartin and Co are doing a fantastic job of looking after our tenants and, therefore, us. We have been letting property for many years and until three years ago managed the properties ourselves. We want to look after our tenants and our properties to a very high standard. We want our tenants to be happy and to stay for the longer term. When looking for an agent we wanted to ensure that high standard was maintained and it has probably been exceeded. Martin and Co give an excellent service to the landlord and to the tenant.

GoogleFrom the minute we signed the tenancy agreement it has been an ardous struggle contacting and having communication with Martin & Co Winchester. My first email communication, involving the calculations of rent, deposit and fees, had to be sent back by me multiple times: the employees could not be bothered to research and correct the right amount of fees properly. I had to bring them up on their mistakes so many times that they did not even bother sending me messages by post anymore.
All in all, their communication with us as tenants was atrocious, this is even disregarding their nonchalant approach to never proofread their own work and expecting us to do their job for them. It's sad that they can get away with copying and pasting every piece of correspondence and have such a lazy attitude to their business.

I have used a few different estate agents in the past but Martin and Co Winchester have been by far the worse to deal with. Couldnt agree more with what other reviews have said, appalling lack of integrity and disregard, no care what so ever towards me as a tenant. Get told completely different things from one moment to the next, they go back on their word and just make you feel like an idiot for asking why things have changed from previously. (I have heard this has happened to other tenants too.) I Have been made to pay extra money when it was questioned before and told i would never have to pay because it doesnt affect me as a tenant. Further down the line I get charged almost hundreds for something I was told I wouldnt have to pay for by one of their management team members. The reply I got was, 'you can move out at any time'. If you have to find a property in Winchester I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not going with this company.
