Very helpful, friendly and good advice given to me (who wasn’t familiar with the English residential property sale/purchase process). I was acting as an attorney for my elderly relative (helping him sell his house to help fund his care), which added complexity to the process. Hamptons were familiar with, professional and reassuring about this extra layer of complexity.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to know that the team provided you with a high level of service!

Very Professional and Efficient Management
Hamptons have been managing my property for a long time. It is a difficult property due to various issues. They have been very professional and efficient in all matters. They deliver as promised and I cannot argue with the quality and price of workmanship. I would definitely recommend Gemma Ward and the Hamptons team for management of flats.

The Human Factor
The service is very good. The difference is made by the people who work in Hamptons. The manager of my properties is Mrs. Elle Seaby. Elle is a very professional and expert person, always ready to help solve the problems that are faced every day. In my opinion, she is the real value of this company, the real driver that convinced me to let Hamptons manage my properties.

why?
Why was i told by one of your agents in West Hampstead branch that Countrywide are nothing to do with Hamptons when you are the same company and it even stating at the bottom of your site that Hamptons is a trading name of Countrywide Estate Agents Limited hidden under a title?

Very nice experience of renting a flat through Hamptons. All the team are very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Our maintenance contact, Ruth, was always quick to respond and empathetic. And Samantha and Bhavika were really quick, helpful and professional when it came to the end of our tenancy and the move out was very straightforward and stress free.Would recommend 100%.

Poor service from letting agent and property management
I am currently renting a house that was let by and is managed by Hamptons International. My letting experience was appalling from start to finish as the letting agent in chiswick was incompetent. It began when he threatened to let the house to the 'other bidder' and when we told him to do so, no other bidder appeared to exist (as we got the house). There were numerous other mistakes/poor administration throughout the whole process - it took several attempts to get the contract correct (in addition to numerous other issues) and culminated in the check in being booked for 9am on the day when our tenancy began and we were told we wouldn't be able to occupy the property until 11am as (due to covid restrictions) there couldn't be any cross over - understandable but the property had been unoccupied for 7 weeks beforehand! I did try to speak to a manager but the telephone number I was given just went to voicemail and my messages were left unreturned. I was sceptical and disappointed when I found out the property was to be managed by Hamptons and this week my worries have proved correct as it is proving impossible for the property manager to even get a contractor to contact me to arrange an appointment to mend the dishwasher which has not not worked for a week (family of four).I actually own and let my old flat and manage this myself and would not dream of providing such a shoddy service to my tenants.

Thank you Hamptons Sales
Justin and Emily, of the Hamptons International Chiswick office, have defied all negative stereotypes some might attribute to the Estate Agent. There was no BS here, just a lot of hard work, frank and realistic advice and support from them to help us achieve a good sale in a difficult year for everybody. We were constantly kept informed and involved throughout the process. They are an example to their profession and we've never dealt with any other estate agent we felt truly had our backs (and that of our buyers) in this way. Everyone came out a winner thanks to their approach and efforts.

As a new Landlord
As a new Landlord, my dealings so far with Hamptons have reassured me that their service and expertise in this field, is exactly what I need to manage my property for me.My first impression is that they are very professional, Sophie was super efficient, attentive and reliable, The Winchester office has been thorough and helpful in every way both to myself and to my new tenant. I have every confidence in my choice of agents, and I hope it will continue in this way

I have bought 2 houses and sold 1 house through Hamptons. I have principally worked with Robert on the 2 purchases, they are great, so helpful and work really hard for you. They are also genuinely nice people and made the whole process easier for me. Thank you.
Thank you for leaving us a review. It is fantastic to hear Robert has had such a positive impact during your experiences working with us and we look forward to making him aware of your feedback, thank you again.

Alex and her team made the selling of our house as smooth and stressfree as possible, given the strange post-lockdown situation. Viewings were handled discreetly and followed our requests and Hamptons were flexible, polite and helpful at all times. I was impressed by the beautiful brochure and video produced and the marketing team rose to the challenge and secured an article and photo in the weekend papers. Any hiccups along the way were dealt with in a thoroughly professional and efficient way and i can't praise Alex and colleagues enough for their hard work. Thank youPositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Would highly recommend Sarah and the Hamptons Winchester team to prospective tenants and vendors alike. Having reached out to several agents in the Winchester area, the Hamptons team have stood out due to their responsiveness, market knowledge and professionalism. They provided an honest and concise appraisal of prevailing local market conditions and the general area. I have been impressed and reassured by Sarah’s local knowledge of both the area, the lettings market and the rapidly changing restrictions and rules associated with the prevailing pandemic. Our experience with Hampton’s has been that they understand the balance to be struck in securing good tenants for good vendors, ensuring a mutually beneficial transaction that works for both parties.

We have had a long relationship with Hamptons (5+ years) in both Sales and Lettings when our initial Sale & Purchase fell through. Both teams provided a very professional service throughout and I would particularly like to thank Gareth and Robert in the Sales team for their encouragement, support and dedication during what was, at times, an extremely frustrating process. Both are pragmatic and extremely proactive, as well as being great people to deal with and have on your side. Many thanks Team!

We recently moved to a rental property in Winchester and we had to do so at quite short notice. Happily, we found a place through Hamptons, with Charlotte managing our file. She provided a highly professional service and dealt with our numerous queries promptly and comprehensively. Loving our new place in Winchester!
Thank you for your review Michael. We pride ourselves on exceptional service and are pleased that your experience has been a great one. We look forward to sharing your review with the team!

WILL TAKE EVERY PENNY FOR NOTHING AND…
WILL TAKE EVERY PENNY FOR NOTHING AND LEAVE YOU UNABLE TO GET BACK INTO YOUR OWN HOME. I rent my home put with Hamptons whilst pur family our overseas for one year. We made it clear at the outset we wanted the house back one year later. We paid a FORTUNE for documentation. We pay a FORTUNE for management fees. Supposedly for peace of mind. Hamptons have now contacted me and said that UNLESS I pay them a further £120 on top of all the money I have already paid them I risk not getting my house back. My family now risk homeless because I am being held to ransom by Hamptons for yet more money. They asked the Tenant if he wanted to stay on WITHOUT even asking me first. Absolute NO PEACE OF MIND AND NO DECENT SERVICE. Very distressed.
Thank you for leaving us a review, customer service is very important to us and we are naturally disappointed to read your feedback. We would welcome the opportunity to address your comments further and kindly ask you to contact customercare@hamptons.co.uk with your details so we can investigate. Thank you again.

Hamptons have been exceptional throughout the process of selling my mother's house. Alex was recommended to me and proved that she knew the market well and was extremely polished in all aspects of marketing the house, which was sold in just a few days. We couldn't have managed without Christopher's communication skills, calm approach and advice during the long legal process of sorting contracts. Overall a brilliant professional job expertly carried out.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Exceptional service
Our property manager, Lucy, is a pleasure to deal with. We have had a few issues recently with heating etc and Lucy has been extremely competent and helpful every time we need to get in touch. The issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently and it makes our lives so much easier to know we have such a friendly, approachable person looking after our needs.

Not to be trusted!
My experience of Hamptons Maidenhead was it seem very positive to begin with, however, their failure to inform the landlord about our plans to have foster children stay with us could have cost us dearly. It turns out that both the agents and the landlords were very greedy and dishonest as they were happy to take our years rent without sharing all the information that we had disclosed. Please be aware the agents may seem like nice people but do not trust anything that is said. just communicate via email at all times.

Breaking their code of practice.
I don’t believe Hamptons to be putting the clients best interest first as something very very sly has happened. My offers were never qualified, I never had response from my offers, and then they accept another offer without giving me any chance to counter. We have been house hunting religiously for the last 6 months and refreshing any new listings online every 24 hours so we knew we loved the property as soon as we saw it come onto the market. So immediately had a viewing and that confirmed our love for it. So we had another viewing shortly after and then the same day put in an offer. We went straight to the Hamptons office after viewing the home and we said we would like to start with an offer of £1.45. They then recommended we go in at £1.3 as they thought we had a shot at that type of figure. So we of course followed their instruction but was equally confused as to why they suggested that. They then said the seller wanted to wait until the end of the month to see what other interest had come in, so we went with the flow. We then became more in love with the property and we didn’t want to loose out so we upped our offer twice in just a few weeks, yet every time they gave us the same response “the vendor still wants to wait until the end of the month”.We was very eager and frightened about missing out so I popped into the office mid way through the month to see if it’s looking likely etc. Then he told us the offer was refused and they’ve had other offers. We didn’t understand why I had to spontaneously walk into the office to find that out! What would of happened if we did sit tight till the end of the month! David the agent told us that if we offer the asking price of £1.5 then it’s ours, he said this several times. So we immediately upped it again for the forth time to the asking price of £1.5 with completion in a couple of months. At this point I thought a deal had basically been made. After 2 days of no news I finally had a call to say another offer has been accepted which was in fact lower than our offer but they were just flexible when on completion. I was straight away shocked that I was not given an opportunity. What the agent should of done was call me to say you’d rather a delayed completion and I would have then said ok that’s fine. My last offer wasn’t set in stone, as far as I was aware we was still in the process of negotiating a deal so I don’t understand why he pulled the rug from under our feet half way through negotiating a deal?!Another point that I find horrifying, is every single offer we have put forward has never been qualified and we have never been asked for proof of funds. I have now looked into it and it’s actually ILLEGAL to not qualify any offer. That is the agents job and that is what the client is paying them to do. We have now made the decision to up our offer £25k over the asking price just to help give us another shot at grabbing the house we wanted. So that is what Hamptons have cost us if our offer does get accepted. Only now have they asked me for proof of funds, this is baffling as I know many agents and none of them would dream of putting forward any offer without qualifying it to make sure it’s legitimate. Have they qualified the other offers from the other buyers? As far as I’m concerned, I could be outbidding the bloody sellers friend who has no intention of buying the house. When I look back on their process since my interest was shown I do believe them to be very sly. I’m not sure if theres been a bribe from the other buyers to the agent, (this is extremely common in Brighton at the moment), but our treatment does not add up. Why did they want to plonk us on the back burner for a month and then accept someone else’s offer without giving us any opportunity? And why did they want to delay things by making me put in a silly offer of £1.3 which would just waste everyone’s time. And why did they never qualify my offers, were any of them ever brought forward to the seller? Please just be weary of Hamptons because I personally don’t trust them. I believe they have lost the client a lot of money because everyone may well have carried on negotiating yet they agents definitely favoured a particular buyer/offer for some un known reason. And finally the worst bit about it all is the service I have received since all of this. I’ve not once had an apology or any kind of sympathy. I have been told that it’s my fault and I should of acted faster despite me doing everything I could have possibly done. I have called and called and called and everyone is always ‘busy’ or ‘on the other line’ and that’s the response I’ve had for a solid 3 days now. I have asked for the regional managers number and they gave me a fake number that hadn’t been in use for years. Everything about me experience has been unlawful and just damn right wrong.

Puneet at Hamptons Paddington was wonderful. He had a great manner with both the buyer and myself (which is unusual in my experience as sometimes estate agents can be aggressive with one or both parties!) I think his great approach, good communication and diligent attention to the progress of the sale paid dividends. Thoroughly recommend Puneet.

Great agent, professional services
I have recently viewed properties with Laura from Sutton Point of Hamptons. Laura was a great agent who has shortlisted good options for us to view within our budget. She was able to provide useful and detailed information about the properties. I appreciated her professional services.
Thank you for your review, we are delighted to receive your feedback and look forward to sharing this with Laura and the team.
