We had a really bad experience renting in Trowbridge with Chase Buchanan. When we first moved in the carpets were in an absolutely awful state, we had to replace them and never got the money back. We never got an inventory, there was awful damp and mould issues which they blamed on us and never fixed or even attempted to help with. Then, the landlord tried to withhold our deposit at the end!

The team led by Abdul have been very helpful and efficient from advice on getting the flat ready to let to finding a suitable tenant quickly. Their contractors include a first class electrician and plumber. After completing the contract, the company realised they had failed to include the correct rent cost. We therefore had to redo the entire process in order to correct this. Our request to inspect the property before moving was agreed to, however Chase Buchanan failed to contact the current tenant, causing the viewing to have to be moved when we discovered this on the day of the anticipated viewing.Request for payment of the deposit was incorrectly sent in parts to multiple people, causing us to have to, again, resolve this error months later once they eventually noticed that the total amount paid was incorrect.Finally, the request for review redirects negative reviews to a feedback form rather than trustpilot in order to deceptively retain a higher score, with the option to instead provide a review hidden in small text beneath the feedback form.In general, the staff were pleasant, however I recommend anyone who uses their services pay close attention to proactively identify their errors.

From the first meeting to discuss the value of the property to the date of completion, they were absolutely fantastic. Their valuation was accurate, they gave me feedback that viewings were booked, reminded on the day of the viewing and then gave feedback on the viewing every single time. We got the property under offer which subsequently fell through and they managed to get it back under offer within 48 hours. The best agents I have ever dealt with in all of my years of buying and selling, they work hard and are always highly professional. They have cost me a lot of money through mis- management.1. telling a decorator they could trash the carpets because they had got quotes for replacement. They had been told I was planning to keep most of the carpets.2. paying invoices when the work was incomplete and poorly done without checking contractors work3. losing inventories so the tenants moved out taking all the door furniture from the kitchen - not challenged at check out4. not passing on forwarding details so I can go to the county court for unpaid rent.5. Using poor contractors- repeatedlyTheir team leader thinks she can manage property maintenance in Bath while working from home in Worcester with kids screaming and running about in the background. The rest of the time she is 'in a meeting' so is very difficult to speak to and the people answering the phones are clueless, not even knowing what city you are despite calling the Bath number.Find another Agent.
