Do not hesitate to use Chase Buchanan Estate Agents. We dealt with Senior Negotiator Rakesh Jethwa, (Hillingdon) who was without a doubt outstanding from the beginning of our short journey to find a buyer for our property. Despite an early setback with an initial buyer pulling out, Rakesh quickly found someone else and got things back on track. His advice has been invaluable in navigating the tricky housing market, and I would like to thank him and the whole team at Chase Buchanan. Please do not hesitate to use their services if you wish to buy or sell.

AVOID. Esp the Richmond and Twickenham area manager MR M a psychotic individual

I approached this company after first returning from the states for a rental, which due to problems with banking fell through. This was entirely my fault. The second time, I found a property to rent and placed a holding deposit. The entire process was insane. Constant phone calls and emails 5 times a day, pressured exchanges and demands for the lend process to be completed. I was berated for not completing everything within TWO DAYS. Despite the letting being months ahead. They knew little about their own referencing company and contact with them. It didn’t stop. I arrived into the office to complete bond and month ahead and met with bully Mr M. He’s the area manager and honestly should not be working with the public. He aggressively walked into my space, shouting at me, laughed sarcastically when I said I’d go to the bank to transfer the £7k there and then. He questioned my integrity. Ordered me to sit in the corner. I asked him repeatedly why he was being so aggressive. He then gaslit me saying he hadn’t, denied laughing in my face, telling me I was an embarrassment to him. It was psychotic behaviour. I contacted the CEO who was calm and measured, to lodge my complaint. The company then withdrew the letting because my passport for biometric identification was a day away. Then took away the rental completely. I asked for Mr M to apologise. He simply patronised me with the classic misogyny of “I’m sorry you felt that way but your below me”. I’m a doctor of excellent standing. Avoid this company. It’s a boys club. No respect at all for their clients, unless I suspect you’re a banker with too much Confidence and too much cash. Even the Richmond lettings manager when I wrote and told him my passport had arrived, said good for you and nothing since. What a waste of two months to end up back at square one, because Myles Moloney is an aggressive bully. He doesn’t like some clients and he makes sure you know it. He is a very dark nasty piece of work. It’s a boys club. Avoid if you’re not one of them. The worst. Having spoken to friends who run prestigious estate agents in Mayfair, Chase Buchanan used biometric rules for releasing keys to me as a reason to terminate the letting. The rental was paid in full from the date of start plus 6 weeks bond. I had my biometric id TWO BUSINESS DAYS after the start of the tenancy. THEY LIED and pretended the landlord didn’t want to risk waiting 3 weeks and declined. It’s almost edging on illegality. The area manager is a bully. Short brown hair, trousers too tight and a horrible attitude. Good forbid you’re more highly educated than him. He’ll get upset. Avoid this scam company. I think they skirt the edge of legality.

Pulling out all the stops

Morgan and his team at Chase Buchanan's Richmond office did an exceptional job to get our purchase of a new home completed. Seemingly stuck in a chain of six, Morgan's communication skills and determination got the deal over the line, when solicitors and other agents seemed unable to move. He helped also in sorting out the knotty problems that could derail an agreement, with the patience and tact to negotiate compromises that satisfied everyone.

Unfair Cleaning Claim, Successfully Challenged

Our experience with this agency during the deposit return process was extremely frustrating. They attempted to withhold part of our deposit over “non-professional cleaning,” despite the property being left clean and in good condition. There was no substantial evidence of damage or poor hygiene, just a claim that cleaning wasn’t carried out by a professional company. We disputed this formally and won, which speaks for itself. The situation felt like an attempt to impose unnecessary charges rather than a fair assessment of the property’s condition. I would strongly recommend tenants to protect themselves with photos, detailed check-out reports, and to challenge any unreasonable deductions.

Adjusting to Chase Buchanan

Previous to their take over by Chase Buchanan in November 2025, my two Northolt properties had been well managed for several years by Lawlors of Uxbridge. Although many staff left, a key and very competent member of their team, Kelly Jo Taylor joined Chase Buchanan. They are very fortunate that she chose to do so and so am I. Kelly continues to be my personal contact point in the management of my properties. This is a positive arrangement because she knows the tenants and the historical issues that inevitably arise in each & every property. The transition cannot have been easy for her but she has certainly helped to smooth the process for me as their client. Kelly acts as a bridge between myself and the other Chase Buchanan departments that get involved in the management of my properties. So far so good and I’m also by and large very satisfied with the professional services offered by Chase Buchanan themselves.

Chase Buchanan have looked after my property for 25 years since I moved to Australia. In that time I have had several property managers and numerous problems that needed fixing, all of which were handled with total professionalism and expediency.
