Jacqueline McPhee at Honeyman Park is truly amazing! As a first time buyer and buying on my own, I was extremely nervous regarding the whole process. However Jacqueline has made everything so easy, she’s able to answer any questions I may have and always available either on the phone or email. Can’t recommend Jacqueline and the Honeyman Park site enough! Im so pleased with my plot and excited to move into my new property.

Excellent SpecI work within construction and have worked with most of the 'top 10' builders and avant spec is superior to any other builder. I reserved my home in February with an intended completion of April, unfortunately lockdown put an end to that however i was kept informed of progress by Kelly, Olivia & Jeanette @ City Quarter, Wakefield. Reservation was on the weekend the showhomes opened so i was fortunate enough to choose from pretty much any plot but having spoken to the mortgage advisor i settled on a Seabridge. Valuation took some time so the process seemed never ending, i eventually took ownership in October. As with any manmade product built in all conditions some issues have been reported and are well on the way with been sorted with Rob and the site team on the ball, the whole process has been relatively straighforward (minus lockdown anyway!) I'll certainly be recommending to anyone looking for a new home in Wakefield (WHich is currently very very competitive)

Today we went to the Avant Homes Princes Gate development in Pontefract to discuss our options for our new home, me and my partner were greeted by James Setters one of of the sales advisors for Princes Gate, Right away he made us feel at ‘Home’ he went through everything in thorough detail! We both had a long list of questions and by the time we were finished he had answered every single one Very knowledgeable, who knew there was so much to know about a house... Balfour Park Plot 221 Love our new Avant house. The buying process was made as easy as possible during the Pandemic which made things difficult for everyone. There was no pressure to complete as they knew we were having issues with our buyer. We worked together to finally get into the house albeit 5 months later than planned. Nobody's fault. Good communication with Customer Care who try to make things happen and very approachable and listen to us. Only thing we have issues with are our bi-fold doors and attempts have been made to rectify this but all to no avail so far. They are the only thing that lets the house down from being perfect.Very high end finish.

I reserved a plot on the De Rhodes site back in October and so far I have had a very positive experience. I visited another site to see a show home of the house I saw and found the sales person at this site to be friendly and welcoming as well as helpful.I then went to the site and dealt with a lady call Cath who I reserved my plot with. Cath was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming and was a pleasure to deal with. She made me feel like my purchase was important and that she cared not only about my purchase but also making sure it was the right plot for me. Since then I was contacted by a lady called Jenny Bennett who has taken over the management of my sale. She called to introduce herself and also to ensure I had all I needed and then emailed to make sure I have her contact details.I have called a couple of times for various bits and bobs and she has always been very helpful and always got whatever I needed done with a very quick turnaround. I am feeling comfortable and excited for the rest of my purchase journey.

Absolutely fantastic service from beginning to finish. What started off as a simple browse of the show home to determine if we were looking to move to the area quickly moved to seriously considering one of the Ashbury homes with full support from Barbara Straiton. I can not fault Barbara’s service at all she is not only friendly but she is knowledgable, approachable and was constantly there for support during the process. We also had assistance from Louise throughout appointments and again, she was excellent. You often hear horror stories about purchasing a brand new build but Barbara put our mind at ease and I can say we are in our new home and it’s great. Neighbours are lovely and it is the best decision we made. There was a few snags upon moving in but Avant were quick to sort them. Thanks to Barbara, Louise and Alex, the site manager. Just a small note to say; We haven’t purchased a house as of yet but have dropped in on Lewis at his sales office multiple impromptu times. And have always been pleasantly and patiently received by Lewis. He’s not pushy & has understood our bespoke circumstances with umming and ahhhing. (we have previously purchased a house that Lewis oversaw and rereading those emails 100% responsible, thorough & courteous) We have recommended Greenlock Place to friends & neighbours. We have our fingers crossed with our current house sale and the plot we would like to reserve is all within budget we welcome working with Lewis going forward to getting a new home. Avant were extremely patient with us when we experienced delays with our house chain, but we finally got our forever home. My partner and I contacted the City Fields sales team for some extra information, went to view the showhomes just to see what kind of house we were after with no intention of reserving that day... 3 hours later we had fallen in love and reserved! Right from the inital phone calls, Kelly and Olivia couldn't have been more helpful. They've made our buying journey as stress-free as possible, and we're so excited to finally be living in our new home. We were updated and reassured every step of the way. Massive thanks to Kelly, Olivia, the rest of the sales team and Rob the site manager who have been there for every phone call (believe me, there were many), every visit and any little issue that we've had.

Moved house 4 weeks ago now onto the Danetre Place site and the process couldn’t have gone better, Natalie was brilliant start to finish always kept us informed and would always go above and beyond. Even with major issues on moving day she helped us so much when she didn’t need to, Avant helped sort out issues which were even their fault and was the solicitors. Since the move Dave the site manager has been great with keeping in touch and helping us where he can. Work has been prompt and as of yet not had to chase anything up.

We have been in our new home for just one week and WOW, what a stress free AND personal service we have received from all involved from start to finish.Peter, the sales representative is full of knowledge, knows his role inside out and goes above and beyond in every single way. He is friendly, approachable and we could not recommend him enough. Peter truly is an asset to Avant and his hard work deserves recognition and praise. Thank you so much Peter.Gary, the site manager along with Paul and the rest of the team worked so hard to get our house completed within our goal timeframe. We have seen the incredible work they undertake which is to an exceptional standard. Gary and Paul are approachable and readily available to tend to anything that pops up. Lynsey, our go to for customer services is efficient, kind and available if and when needed. Moving house can be a difficult time, and I have no doubt ours would have been that if not for this incredible team who truly place customers at the core of their service. We are overjoyed with our new family home, and cannot recommend Avant - Brompton Mews enough. Thank you.

This is the third new build home I’ve lived in and by a country mile Avant are my favourite. The designs are gorgeous and modern there’s lots of options too.Natalie J at the sales office in Danetre was very efficient and friendly she seemed to be genuinely excited for our move. She made the process much easier even under the pressure of the pandemic. When we opened our moving in box she really made the additional effort.Dave the site manager has been really helpful too with the snagging list.. all new builds have snagging.The good thing is that a professional snagger said the house and build quality is high quality.I didn’t give five stars because the solicitors Gowlings were a bit of nightmare though i understand they have changed them now. Also on moving in day the there wasn’t a tidy/clean. Minor things in the big picture

Recently moved into Birkey Heights and what an awesome experience throughout! From Kyle, Peter and Julie in sales, to James the site manager, Laura at customer care and all the people who have built our new home! Everyone we’ve met has gone above and beyond to help with anything we’ve needed. Everything has been done as promised and we’re really happy with the service and build quality of the property. They’re incredible houses and the lads still on site are friendly and you can see they all really care about what they’re doing. I hope this review is shared with them and James can pass on a ‘socially distant’ hi-5 from us! We look forward to properly settling in and know that Laura will support us if anything else comes up. From the moment I made a call to Avant Homes - Cityfields, Wakefield to see if they still had any two bedroom properties available to view/potentially purchase I knew they were the developer for me. Their customer service was / is brilliant. I was made to feel welcomed and at ease (I viewed the property just as we came out of lockdown)My Avant journey has been some what of a rollercoaster ride to get me to completion but I couldn't have done it with out the Sales team (Jeanette, Kelly and Olivia) They have been on hand every step or bump of the way (and these bumps were not on Avant's part in anyway) I am just under a week into my new Avant home and I couldn't be happier. Plot 6 was meant for me :) As well as the them, the on-site team, Rob and the team that are still on site building other Avant homes have truly looked after me. Nothing I ask is an issue, they greet me every day as if I'm part of the site team (which is lovely as their is only me and another couple on site at the moment so I really feel at home even though we are still in construction but its all part of the experience and I love it). I would highly recommend Avant to any first time buyer (or any home buyer in fact). My home is exceptional (yes there are a few snags but all of these are easily fixable so do not be put off by any other comments - it's bound to have these and the team offer an after care service) In terms of the home fixtures theses are really good quality and the finish/specification on the homes is by far the best compared to other new build developers.I am so glad I made that call and came down to Cityfields - this will be a life long memory I treasure. A huge thank you to all of the Avant team on / off site you've made my whole buying experience so much more enjoyable. We have recently bought a home over at Wynyard Grange (plot 29) and could not be happier with the service we received from Rebecca Darby. We felt completely at ease when liaising with Rebecca, she was completely transparent, professional and absolutely went above and beyond for us. Even on her days off, we would receive updates, she would give us courtesy calls and when things weren’t going so well due to complexities with solicitors, Rebecca spent the time on an evening on the phone putting our mind at rest.I honestly don’t think I have ever experienced first class customer service like it. Thank you to Rebecca and Steve (site manager), who also explained things in detail to us, made us feel at ease and ensured our experience was positive.

I would not recommend AVANT homes to anyone, as I do not wish for anyone else to deal with the issues we have had and still remain unresolved. We were not given information by sales representatives prior to signing NHQC drawings for our property about the codes which indicate the colour for the roof for our property, we were promised to have a certain colour by one sales representative and were under the impression that this was what we were getting. We later realised only after the roof went on, that we had the roof colour that we did not agree on. It was too late, there was no option to change the roof or choose a different property and we were just informed that we are not being compensated in anyway by AVANT for the lack of clear communication. We were dealing with three different sales representatives, discussing extras and there were items missed on the extras/ choices invoice, which we had to go over and sign three times. Again, a clear lack of communication between the team as well. Please be made aware that there will be no customer compensation from AVANT, should issues occur.

We’ve recently moved into our new home and have been impressed by pre and post customer care. A special thanks to Natalie J who was there every step of the way with helpful updates, advice and expert knowledge. Even throughout lockdown when she kept in regular contact which we found reassuring. Like most, we’ve noted some snagging issues but Dave and Laura F have been responsive in facilitating repairs albeit with some still outstanding. An overall good experience so far but I reserve the right to update pending completion of all snagging. Claudia

Claire Firby - what a superstar.This lady at Avant has got us to where we need to be.We started the process in July 24 with our property sold, however the chain was complex and Clare took the reins and liased with our Estate Agent to get us to exchange.The whole team have had patience and provided us with loads of support but Clare has stood out for me.We are looking forward to completion on the 19th of December and a new chapter of our life in a new home.

TrustpilotGood end result but it will cost you more than the price of the house.
We really love our home, but it has been a long journey getting everything right that hadn't been done properly. We are now left with one snag that Avant have had about 5 attempts at fixing and we're resigned to living with it. I would give a higher score, if it weren't for certain departments within the company. I have wasted about 20 days of leave over 3 years, as has my partner, in failed appointments and all they would say in the office was, 'I can only apologise'. Well, no, you could reimburse me for lost earnings because you can't be bothered to organise your work properly. Sometimes people just wouldn't turn up, sometimes they sent the wrong company and sometimes they just weren't able to fix the issue.We thought we had a leaking roof at one point and it took the customer service team over 3 months of back and forth and 5 days of wasted leave to react to it. The damage could have been ridiculous at this point if it hadn't been a dry few months. It took 3 appointments for them to paint a 30cm x 30cm patch on the ceiling. I eventually just painted it myself. We've recently had our banister fixed and they booked their technician as well as hiring an external company to do the same job, we had 3 visits to make sure the work definitely needed to be done before they came and did a 15 minute job. So that was 4 appointments for a 15 minute job.. nice one.Just bare in mind when you're buying a new home, you aren't buying a finished product, far from it. They will waste your time and unfortunately, 'all they can do is apologise'.
