Mark was our main point of contact at Austins. He was superb all the way through. This was a probate sell, with the two executors ( my brother and I) not living anywhere near Weymouth. To ease communication, we set up a WhatsApp group with Austins and that really helped. My solicitor and the buyer's solicitor were not on Austin's 'recommended' list, so communication between solicitors themselves was contracted and difficult. We were grateful for Mark's experience in steering us through this. We had a first rate experience all the way through . Austins was definitely the right choice for us. I wouldn't go anywhere else if selling again.

I do not recommend it to anyone.

They are not doing a good job. They’re completely letting the homeowner down. In three months, there were eight people interested, five actually viewed the house, and three cancelled. When we finally had a family who wanted to make an offer, the agent literally handed them a brochure for another property right in front of me, and of course, they ended up buying that one. That was absolutely disgusting.

Simon and the team at Austin’s helped us to sell our house, they were friendly and professional and helpful despite setbacks at various points (not due to them). They were very reasonably priced too. Throughout the long process of our house move he has kept in regular contact with my wife and me to update us on progress, even if there was no progress; but it was great to know he was trying to move things along. I think we've all had negative experiences with estate agents and are cynical about the services they offer. I was no exception. On meeting Sean Austin, I was pleasantly surprised and curious about his claim that Austins were "different". Hmmmm.... I had already met Mark who impressed me with his demeanor and sincerity. So I gave them the go ahead to sell my property. In the meantime, I looked at lots of different properties until I found "the one"! This was also on market with Austins. As per usual, nothing was straightforward but by sensitive negotiation and knowledgeable marketing of my own property, I am now the proud owner of a fabulous flat. Throughout the time of my selling and purchasing, Austins did indeed show themselves to be "different". Unfailingly calm and empathetic about the whole process. Each one of the agents knew my situation and were able to answer questions and provide reassurance. Communication was excellent and I was never left wondering. I found the whole team to be highly experienced and skilled in their roles. Not only that, cheerful and welcoming at all times. I felt supported throughout what is always a stressful time and "looked after". Definitely "different"! I can only thank all the team with a special mention for Simon and his negotiating skills, although they all deserve a " special" mention! HIGHLY Recommended!

Moving house

We first sold our house in Sep 2020 and thought events would move smoothly but we came across a rather obtuse buyer who, at the last moment, withdrew from the sale. Austins, via Mark, were left to pick up the pieces.We found a second buyer but then ran into a quagmire in the shape of firstly, a troublesome surveyor and then, secondly,an inept paralegal who seemed convinced her task was to place every obstacle in the path of completing a complex and challenging chain.Mark's heroic efforts got us over the line at the eleventh hour.
