Would thoroughly recommend Weybridge John D Wood & Co, and in particular James Mumford. A very professional service from start to finish and he was instrumental in securing our desired property. In the past I have been hassled by other estate agents on a daily basis with inappropriate properties in the wrong locations. James on the other hand fully listened to what our requirements were and only got in touch if a property matched ours. I wish many more estate agents took this approach. Overall, James handling of the viewings, negotiations and the paperwork were so efficient that we completed in little over a week.

I recently bought a flat from John D wood and I can't thank Jane enough as she's been absolutely amazing and great throughout the process. I was a first time buyer and didn't know anything about buying a property, but Jane was so nice and patient with me answering all the questions in a timely manner. I was also very unlucky with solicitor as she never communicated or returned emails and very unprofessional. Jane was there and helped me to hold of my solicitor and even informed me of any updates from seller's solicitor!! I was lucky to have Jane as my agent and I highly recommend her and John D wood. Also, I want to thank Vincent for doing the property viewing for me, as he was also very friendly unlike other some rude agents.

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

We are moving to the UK for a work assignment and needed to rent accomodations for the period. We contacted Tim Bishop at John D Woods via the Internet. He provided us with information about a range of properties meeting our requirements and connected us with Weybridge agent James Mumford. James showed us many properties over several days. He was thorough and professional throughout, providing us with lots of valuable information about the area and the rentals market. There was no pressure, and he is clearly very sympathetic to the fact that different people have different needs in what they are looking for in a home. He listened carefully to our preferences and helped us narrow in on some good possibilities. Within 4 days we negotiated and secured a very suitable property. I would strongly recommend him for anyone looking for a rental in Surrey.

A thoroughly professional, courteous and friendly service delivered by James Mumford at the Weybridge branch. Relocating from overseas to a new area is a challenge, but James kept in touch with us throughout the process, was quick to identify what our property requirements were, catered exactly to them (unlike other agents who sent us everything that came on their books regardless of the suitability) and ensured that the little time we had to view properties was well used with no time wasted. Its fair to say that James restored our faith in property agents :). Make this office your first point of call when looking for a rental in the area.

I needed to find a flat at very short notice following an extremely quick sale of my home and buyers who wanted to be in “yesterday”. Alice helped me find a property that matched my requirements, including a break clause, and was very patient and understanding when there was a short delay on the house sale. An unfortunate experience with this office. Definitely there are better agents than JD Wood in the area. Their professionalism and ability to resolve issues is minimal - They claim their job ends when the keys are handed over, with zero interest if what they hand over is according to the contract. They simply do not care and they are merely transactional and when you try to escalate it internally the entire office is just disrespectful.

Avoid at any cost

If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative. Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

The worst ever estate agent I have come across. Be aware! Family of 4 with two young children, we rented a house through them in order to get to know the area and buy. I have an endless list of things to mention, but here are some highlights: 1. They threatened us with eviction in order to renew our tenancy contract, which is out of order not to mention illegal. 2. We also informed them about an illegal and unsafe boiler installation. We spoke to a professional heating engineer which informed us that under a specific scenario, the life of the occupant (my child to be precise) could be at risk. The estate agent chose to ignore this information and did not inform the new tenant and hid the evidence. 3. The landlady tried her luck with the deposit. It was refunded after 4 long months of fighting during which the estate agent chose to ignore the facts and play dumb, of course in order to keep the property/client in their books. You should be ashamed! It was a horrible experience, to the point that when we started looking to buy, I never approached them and I wrote off any properties that were advertised by them. Very short-sighted, as your today's tenants will be your tomorrow's buyers, and also your tomorrow's sellers. Pure ignorance!
