Letted a flat through KFH west london

Letted a flat through KFH in west London. Was bombarded by calls and emails for the following month from multiple KFH offices regarding other letting opportunities - despite having made it very clear that I had already moved into one of their flats. Agents were consistently rude, dismissive and at one point threatened eviction proceedings because I didn’t want them showing the flat to potential buyers on Sundays. Hounded me for a decision up until the point I transferred them money for the deposit, at which point they couldn't properly keep track of the fact I had already sent them money, and then they started with aforementioned. They’ve overvalued the flat I was staying in which led to them showing the flat multiple times a week to potential buyers for the duration of my tenancy. It’s been on the sales market for ages and I don’t expect them to find a buyer given their tactics. All in all - highly unprofessional and would never recommend them to anyone looking to buy or rent, and found myself regretting letting the flat due to their nuisances caused.

Holly and Caroline are the reason I stayed with KFH

I had a great time working with KFH over the past decade as an overseas landlord. I would say brand and people are what really make a difference there. Holly Ormonde as my Property Manager and Caroline Duvergier as the Regional Branch Director are excellent at their job and have truly looked after my property over the years. Both are highly competent, responsible and efficient, always providing the best solutions / advices at the right time. Holly is always helpful and responsive, resolving issues in a timely manner. Caroline has been at the leadership role for a long time and does a fantastic job overseeing the entire operation, making sure every customer’s request gets answered, no matter big or small. They are the reason I chose to stay with KFH for this long and I will always be grateful for their support and service.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience from Bayswater branch. Offer was accepted, I asked for confirmation on flooring (it was being replaced and was TBC) agent agreed to check with landlord. Heard nothing back for 3 days - I called to ask for an update and was told they'd rented to another person instead who didn't ask questions. Valentina the manager was rude and dismissive and hung up on me. I called back to ask them to send me complaints contact - they never did. Called up their regional manager and complained - he was zero help and although said he would follow up - never did. AVOID. they are the type that gives estate agents their bad name.

We cannot thank Ivan Marla at KFH (E Dulwich) enough for helping us secure our new rental property ! As a family with 2 young kids looking for a home in a very competitive market, Ivan was a beacon of professionalism and efficiency. He listened carefully to our needs (kid-friendly neighborhood and close to schools, etc.) and only showed us properties that truly fit our criteria. His communication was brilliant throughout the entire process, he was open and honest at all times, and even called on his days off to ensure he keeps us informed, which kept me at ease. We rented the 41A property and…

We rented the 41A property and discovered that the landlords parents lived beneath us. They opened a number of our packages and mail and have a camera which films the road and one which films the door in and out of 41A so that they can watch you.We complained a number of times and were ignored by the landlord and the estate agent. It took us over 5 months to secure our deposit, the landlord tried to claim £2177.790 for 'damages' caused by a roof leak that was their responsibility. After going through TDS they only took £130 for 'professional cleaning' which was not on the contract.

I work for a charity that lets a house through KFH. KFH are bureaucratic, inefficient, and obstructive. Still waiting for a new tenancy agreement (which included a rent rise) five months after one of the old tenants moved out. On top of exorbitant letting fees, they charge for every small task. Convert your tenancy under the Renters' Rights Act? That will be £25 + VAT. Organise an EICR? That will be £35 + VAT admin charge, on top of the cost of the actual EICR. But be warned... once KFH have put tenants in place for you, no other letting agent will touch the property until all of those tenants have left, so you will be stuck in the KFH nightmare with no recourse but to write awful reviews about them while you dream of better letting agents (I use a good letting agent for another charity, so I know they exist).

Mohamed and his team (Alisdair and Chris) have been amazing. I have two properties rented out by them. They have gone out of their way to deal with any issues I’ve had and dealt with it courteously and promptly. With regards to getting tenants, they listen to your remit, and have been proactive in getting appropriate tenants which I have had difficulties with past letting agents. Whenever I call Mohammed, he gives me excellent and honest advice, and always goes above and beyond what is required of him. I am really pleased with the service KFH lettings team has given me over the years and would definitely recommend them to others.

Non-professional and Poor service- Disappointing.

KFH promised much and some of the staff were engaging and possessed good communication skills which suggested that they would do what they stated. Sadly, they did not do this and put forward an inappropriate 'tenant' that did not truly exist. It was a rapid tenant proposal, indicating limited investigation or validation. There was poor financial evidence. Much of this process seems to have been done by other companies and there was no consistent KFH governance/ oversight. Once in the house it was used by multiple people against the direct instruction for a family tenant. The property suffered much damage, memories of a house and home were ruined and finally the 'tenant' was evicted.
