Sally and Hannah were great!Given I was travelling from the south coast to do viewings, Hannah arranged for visits to several houses in an afternoon. She was very knowledgable about all the properties and I was so impressed with her professionalism. Once my offer had been accepted, the vendors refused to take the house off the market until exchange and Sally was very supportive during what was a stressful time. There were a number of issues that cropped up over the intervening weeks and she managed these expertly and efficiently, liaising with all the other estate agents in the chain whilst communicating regularly with me so I was always kept in the loop. I approached three estate agents in the Hornsey area and was particularly impressed by Barrington Dutton of KFH whose attitude was so positive. I was selling a property in my role as executor for an old friend who had recently died. Although we could not sell until we had probate, Barrington showed the house to a variety of interested parties, some of whom offered significantly more than the asking price. When the mortgage rate began to climb, we lost these offers and the house suffered water damage during the winter. Undeterred, Barrington achieved an excellent offer from a purchaser who was happy to pay a good price for the property in its unrestored state. I am really grateful to Barrington and his team at KFH Crouch End for achieving such an excellent result in what the newspapers constantly refer to as a falling market.

Very disappointing experience

I recently sold a flat through KFH Canada Water and I would not recommend using them. I found the interaction with them very unpleasant and unhelpful. My agent was consistently condescending and uninterested. The way he spoke to me was unacceptable; I was shouted at over the phone, he frequently talked over me, and he refused to let me finish my sentences. His sole interest throughout appeared to be the buyer, who could not be inconvenienced at any cost, even to my own inconvenience, and he clearly forgot that he was supposed to be acting as my agent, which is extraordinary on reflection.Selling and buying properties is a stressful and emotional process and we had a fairly complex chain whereby we had to exchange and complete the purchase/sale of 3 properties simultaneously, involving multiple parties. It was a challenging transaction and had to be carefully managed by everyone involved. My agent was the least responsive/supportive of the group (and some way short of the other KFH agents acting on one of the other properties) and made very minimum contribution out of the 3 real estate agents that we worked with. When they did take up the reins it was to chivvy me into doing whatever the buyer needed, rather than supporting me as my sales agent. He has caused unnecessary frustration by putting pressure on me to conclude on the single sale when the whole chain was being delayed due to a factor outside of our control (another party in the chain was waiting for a mortgage offer). Rather than help me with the communications with my buyer, he threatened that that the buyer would pull out if I could not provide certainty on timing - in that particular conversation he imposed 3 hours to respond, which was completely unreasonable given the delay was not within my control. Clearly, he had no interest in anything other than getting his commission from selling my flat. At the end of the day, the delay was one week and during this already stressful time he only created more tension than help easing it.As soon as we finally completed on all 3 properties, we simultaneous had multiple calls from the real estate agents and our solicitors to say congratulations. My agent from KFH Canada Water was the only one who failed to do the same. This said a lot about how much the sale mattered to him.

KFH Muswell Hill - A great team, very helpful and professional. Would recommend!

KFH Muswell Hill were really great to deal with on both the sale of our property - helping us when our first buyer fell through and then securing us an above asking price offer - as well as sorting a mortgage out for us ... I would definitely recommend them! Special thanks for Elysia and Ashley on the sale & Sawan and Sharon on arranging our mortgage. Hopefully we wont need their help again anytime soon, but if we do they will be our first call!

Less hassle to manage the property myself

Initially KFH Lettings were very helpful in finding a great tenant but as time went on they became unresponsive and I ended up dealing with the tenant directly (rather than routing communication via KFH management) as it was much easier. In the end I was paying KFH Management a fee just to collect the rent but dealing with the management myself. I am currently waiting for KFH to return the tenant's deposit after the end of the tenancy which they are refusing to do (despite several emails from both me and the tenant). Generally not a good experience.

We decided to sell our property in the UK as we now live abroad. This made the process slightly more complicated and we appreciated the responsiveness and viewing feedback we received from Michael Odejide and team throughout the sales process. We had a couple of false starts where the prospective buyers decided to pull out, so we were thankful that KFH were proactive in remarketing the property and offering advice on strategies in an ever changing market given the interest rate rises. It took over 12 months to eventually sell but we never had any reason to consider changing agents given our experiences above.

I cannot sing the Brockley sales team's praises enough! Whilst Brian's main job is a sales negotiator, he answered the phone many a time when I called the office and was always friendly, professional and I knew without a doubt that my message would be passed on. Alicia did an excellent job of coordinating the photos and paperwork and was very trustworthy and efficient. I’m making a point of mentioning Brian and Alicia because I’m acutely aware that those who seemingly play “a small role” or are in the background can be overlooked, but are integral members of the process (hopefully, I haven't missed anyone from this review!)!Siân, the branch director, consistently worked hard on our behalf responding to queries promptly, efficiently, with kindness and compassion in relation to our personal circumstances - and the latter by no means compromised her ability as a professional!Last, but by no means least, Darren (our sales negotiator) has been a godsend!!! The transaction had quite a few hurdles and Darren was not only our estate agent in terms of getting the property sold, but a true advocate, friend and ally. Brilliant experience for first time buyer, recommend Priyesh

Highly recommend our estate agent Priyesh in the Crystal Palace branch of KFH. My husband and I had been renting and saving, and in February of this year realised we need to start thinking about what to do when contract runs out 1st June. We quickly arranged 15 viewings in one week, and met a lot of estate agents, Priyesh was head and shoulders above the rest. So professional and informed, when he showed us our house we fell in love with it, and his knowledge of Victorian terrace houses and the extensions that would be possible really sold it for us. Most other agents we were working with at the time just seemed to not understand what we were looking for or offered very transparent typical lies to cover up obvious flaws. The Friday of that week Priyesh accommodated us to have a second viewing and was incredibly patient when I'm sure others would have just wanted to start their weekend. We sent him an offer on the Saturday afternoon, and due to time zones of the seller he heard back later that evening, and again despite this being very much off the clock he informed us immediately, he knew we would want to celebrate! We used the mortgage advisor and solicitors recommended by KFH, primarily because we already trusted KFH so much but also as we felt this would help with our fixed timeline. Despite there being a few complications with mortgage applications, valuations and the sort of weird surprises that are apparently quite common to most house sales, it all was completed just when we needed it to be with what seems to be a much less stressful experience than other people I know have had with their house buying. It's now been two months in our first ever house and we couldn't be happier. Big thank you to everyone at KFH that helped us to get here despite us being quite disorganised and clueless, and of course especially to Priyesh, we consider ourselves very lucky we had him to guide us though it all.

Extremely unsatisfactory experience…

Extremely unsatisfactory experience with KFH, firstly as a landlord and then as a vendor of the same property. I did not feel at any point supported by the team and especially Daniel Montaque who as assigned to help me get the best from my sale. After advising me to accept a 70k drop in the asking price, he then suggested I reduce by a further 5k and then another 2k at the close of sale. He was never there to advise me with any insite into my buyers situation or any wisdom. I felt totally alone and used and I feel he just wanted to get the sale done and dusted. Only after completion did I find out that I needn’t have agreed to a further 7k reduction. Just before the sale when he over billed me for his commission, he hung up the phone on me when I questioned this. I found him altogether 100per cent unprofessional, rude and inadequate at his job. A very unpleasant man and experience and a very expensive one too. The letting team were also not working for me and undertook necessary call out work on the property without consulting me first and then of course charged me. I am still not convinced I ever received the correct monies owed me for the duration. They always had an answer and never apologised for any misunderstanding or for proving such an unsatisfactory service.
