We sold our house through the Jackson-Stops, Bury St Edmunds office. We knew the staff there from the original purchase of the property and were so pleased with that experience that we chose them for the recent sale. The team in Bury St Edmunds were effective from day one. The marketing material was well thought out and very professional. The task of showing potential purchasers around the house, answering their questions and working with us to keep them well informed worked very well. As exchange and, ultimately, completion days came and went, the team shifted up a gear and it all happened in a blink of an eye. Working with Jackson-Stops was a pleasure, a 5-star experience. We had an incredibly positive experience selling our home through Jackson-Stops Northampton. We couldn’t fault the service we received, from the initial valuation right through to completion. We priced our home competitively and secured multiple offers within a couple of weeks, achieving the guide price. Sadly, we lost our buyer a few weeks later, but we went back to market and, once again, achieved the guide price within just a few days. Sadie on reception was always incredibly helpful and efficient, particularly when arranging viewings and providing us with feedback. Ian Denton handled our sale, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. He was professional, proactive and went above and beyond throughout the process. We were buying an onward property through a different agent and, unfortunately, had a very poor experience with a lack of communication and proactivity. Ian was instrumental in helping to keep our onward purchase on track, regularly chasing the solicitors involved as well as our onward agent when necessary. An honest, professional and genuinely helpful agency. We would thoroughly recommend Jackson-Stops to anyone looking to sell their home.

Poor service

Asked to view a property on Bures Road and was told I had to provide proof of funds before even being allowed a viewing. I understand proof of funds is needed at offer stage but demanding it just to view a house is unnecessary and comes across as rude and intrusive; the tone felt more like an interrogation. And for clarity, questioning an asking price is not the same as being unable to afford a property. In a previous transaction, we declined to overpay for a house we did not believe was worth its asking price, and it later sold for significantly less. That is a valuation judgement (a mistake by the same agent), not a funding issue. In any case, the interaction felt dismissive, rather than professional. Plenty of other agents manage to handle high-value properties professionally without treating potential buyers like time wasters. So choosing to take my business elsewhere.

Jackson-Stops, Cranbrook Branch recently sold my house. They were brilliant, helpful and great with communication which is rare these days. Rachel with whom I dealt with was lovely, so friendly and so patient with all the endless calls I made. They say selling your home is one of the most stressful things you can go through. Its no easy ride but I can only say that Jackson-Stops made it as easy and calm as it could be. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you live in Kent and you want to sell your house, they are your go to agent. Brilliant. Wouldn’t recommend!

Wouldn’t recommend! I have raised several concerns about one of their tenants, to Helen & the MD but nothing has been done. Emails are ignored or replied to months later with inadequate excuses, since they moved in in December 2025! I am writing this review at 4 am, having been kept up until 11 pm with the 8 year old child screaming like a banshee again and now being woken up with him banging around the house! I have lived at my property for four years, and the last year has been a total nightmare!

They suggested a sound strategy for listing and presenting the property and then were hands on with viewings, engagement with prospective buyers and then the actual sales process. Patronising and dishonest

I initially approached this company after viewing a property they were marketing and considering making an offer. However, I was told they wouldn’t take on my own property as it was “outside their remit.” This didn’t appear accurate, as I’ve since seen them advertise several similar properties in my local area, both in size and value. When I challenged this, they reluctantly agreed to proceed. Unfortunately, their overall manner came across as rude, patronising, and unprofessional, which did not inspire confidence. I started my rental experience with Jackson Stops Pimlico on September 24th for a 1-bedroom apartment with my gf, so it’s been exactly a month now. The viewing process before confirming the rental was smooth. We just decided on the same day we viewed to rent the property and the confirmation from the agent/landlord was also prompt. Although there was a slight delay during the contract signing process due to some temporary difficulties reaching the landlord, Georgia from Jackson-stops handled it professionally, giving us an estimated resolution time and having promptly reached the landlord. We so far have worked with both Alex and Georgia during the rental process, and they were highly professional and very kind. They also gave us timely advice on setting up utilities like water and electricity. Afterward, we were introduced to a property management team as our day-to-day contacts, who have also been very helpful. Martina has been great with our communication and helped with various stuff including the not-functioning microwave. We look forward to having a great rental experience over the next year and hope any issues that arise will continue to be addressed as promptly as they have been in these first two weeks!
