I recently viewed and applied for a rental property which Basil F was managing. Although the offer didn't go ahead (which would normally leave me deflated) instead, I walked away impressed by Basil's diligent, attentive and polite approach. I felt as if he was on "my team" to be successful and look forward to contacting Chestertons again. I will select them if I notice there are multiple agency listings for the same property based on my great experience. Thank you.

Trustpilotdont expect more than a GSCE level person
You can't expect much from any real estate agent. Chesterton (Colette) is particularly dumb. After having been in our flat for over 2 years, we got an email saying your rent is over due. It's due on the 12th and we've not received it. I then screenshot every standing order payment that's been sent and note that anytime the 12th is on the weekend, the payment is received the first business day afterwards (fairly standard). And only now, when we also gave notice that we were leaving, did they suddenly cause a fuss. If you can avoid, but honestly they're all terrible.

The most unprofessional agency I have ever worked with... We made an offer on the flat that landlord accepted. They sent us application form and we needed to pay 1 week deposit. One hour after sending the application, agent called me and told that there was another last minute offer and that they have sent it to the landlord. Agent asked me to improve the offer, I did not agree to that. 3 minutes later agent called me back and told me that if we pay the deposit NOW, the latter offer will not be considered and we will get the flat. We paid the deposit straight away, everything was agreed. One hour later, agent called us and told that the flat was given to other people! Waste of time and energy with them. Very unprofessional. They just want to take your money and thatβs it.
