GoogleWe recently bought our very first property with GHB, and they were great throughout the whole process, being a reliable contact for accessing the property when we needed to see it again or send a surveyor, relaying messages to and from the sellers and their solicitors, and keeping us up to date with events. Would recommend not shying away from buying a property represented by Shaun and the team from the East Grinstead office.

GoogleTerrible service as a buyer, they also lost money for their sellers which alone should be enough to make people steer clear. I phoned them to enquire about a property which was above our budget, but being chain-free and able to complete quickly I thought it was worth asking if our top budget would be acceptable to the sellers (the property had been on the market for 9 months). I was told they already had a higher offer (fair enough) and so I asked the agent to call me back if the sale fell through. I was never contacted, and noticed myself the property came back on the market at a lower price a few months later. We booked a viewing, with the agent failing to connect the dots that I had enquired about the property previously. We made an offer below the budget I had previously disclosed and were kept waiting with no update for 3 days! As much as I understand the sellers may have wanted time to consider the offer, the agent should have kept in touch with us. I eventually had to phone them after 3 days and ask what on earth was going on. Laughably poor practice, I would have been furious as a seller if I found out that my agent was negligent enough to lose me money through poor organisation/ arrogance thinking they had already sold the property. Selling is an expensive business, take your money elsewhere!
Thank you for the time taken in leaving a review and for your follow up call after posting to discuss your views further. I would like to start by saying everyone at the office is extremely troubled by your review as we have always strived to provide an honest and professional service to all our buyers and sellers throughout every transaction. When you first enquired on the property in question, your maximum budget at the time happened to be lower than a sale we had already going through. And as you hadn't yet viewed the property, your initial enquiry wasn't one the sellers could consider or proceed with. At the time your enquiry was made you didn't fully register with us or provide your full contact details. Due to the GDPR rules we are regulated by, we were therefore unable to hold any of your contact details on file. When the first transaction fell through, we were able to fully remarket the property and once you called to arrange a viewing, we showed you the property along with two others with the property in question becoming the most suitable for you. The offer you first placed on the property was lower than our advertising price at the time. The delay we had before providing you an answer was due to our vendors trying to make the received offer work on the chain above. The two properties above ours all had to negotiate and accept a lower offer, to make your offer acceptable. The delay before our vendors acceptance was only due to the chain doing what they could to make the figures work to everyone's benefit. We are pleased to say that once your offer was accepted, the chain of three properties successfully progressed to an exchange and completion in just over 9 weeks. Throughout the process we had regular contact with you and all parties involved and were genuinely unaware of how you felt. As the transaction had gone very well, we asked you on completion if you could kindly leave a review, so we are saddened by your opinion. We hope you have quickly settled into your new home without any issues and if we can ever assist you in the future, we would be more than happy to oblige.

GoogleShaun and the team at Garnham H Bewley were superb in helping me secure my first property. Shaun was very attentive and professional in his approach keeping in mind my timelines for the stamp duty deadline. He kept the process moving efficiently with the sellers and provided me great recommendation for a solicitor .He was honest, straight forward and very informative, which made working with him very easy. GoogleI had my house on the market with these guys for 2 months. I personally liked the two guys I dealt with Sam & the guy who took photos, that is why I have given 2 stars instead of 1. I think this is the first time I have ever given a negative google review but I feel compelled. It took weeks to get the sign up outside, the first few weeks there was no viewings whatsoever, I wasn't called to be given any updates on anything in this time, in fact the whole 2 months I think there wasn't more than 2 or 3 viewings, no mention of a possible open day to gather interest. I found someone on a local forum that was interested to view my property who was already a client of G&B and had not been directly informed about my house being for sale by the agent even though it was in their price range. I finally sent a complaint email to the director and wasn't even gifted a response from him, just a short response from an assistant. This is the 3rd time I have sold a house in 5 years and my worst experience yet of a traditional agency, so much so I am going on with YOPA online, as its much cheaper and for sure G&B are not really offering anything beyond online exposure and being included in general mail outs (which not everybody reads anyway). Its not worth paying triple commission in comparison to an online agent unless the agent you are using is pulling out all of the stops to actively SELL your property. Maybe they are doing that with other houses but I saw no sign of that whatsoever with my house. I am sorry to be negative but this was my experience.

The whole team are fantastic, we worked with Adam, Shaun & Sam and they kept us updated throughout the whole sale process keeping the chain below in shape and progressing. This is the second time I've sold via them and both times have been great. Highly recommended

GoogleThese guys are great. From the beginning of our search they helped us all the way, we had many of viewings with them. Every time something new came up they would always call. That's how we found our house, if Shaun hadn't of called me we probably would have lost out. Throughout the whole process they continued to help each step. Nothing was a problem. They always kept in contact to let me know where we were. So thanks to Adam and Duncan and big shout out to Shaun.

GoogleAbsolutely useless! communication was non existant, they got details of the property incorrect, just an absolute nightmare to deal with from start to finish. Can't imagine the seller who actually paid for these services was particularly pleased either as he had asked them to let us know that he would be collecting some goods from the property after completion but these guys failed to inform us so we threw it all away as it was cluttering up the front garden! Do yourself a favour and go to move revolution in East Grinstead instead, the level of service is miles above a anything you will receive here!
Hi Will, Thanks for taking the time to write us a review, but we are a little confused with regards to the communication being non existent. I’ve looked back over our records and it shows there were in excess of 100 emails/phone calls, throughout the transaction, but if you would like to call us to let us know where we could improve upon this, then we always welcome constructive criticism. The same applies with regards to the property details. I would kindly ask you to explain further, as all of our property adverts are signed off by our vendors prior to marketing, to ensure they are correct. With regards to completion, our vendor did in fact fail to clear the property in time and in line with the signed contract, the property should have been cleared. So, although you didn't tell us he had left items there, you had every right to throw away what you did. We clearly cannot be held responsible for what our vendors may leave at the houses upon completion. We work very closely with the team at Move Revolution and have done for many years.
