I used Allen and Harris to purchase a house and Connor Sherman was my estate agent. He was so friendly and helpful. Kept me updated throughout the whole process and would chase up any enquiries that I had immediately.Also, Liam Tresillian, the mortgage broker at Allen and Harris, was extremely helpful and found me the best mortgage deal. I highly recommend using Allen and Harris.

She has made what is a complicated and daunting process so clear and easy for me to understand. Poppy explained thoroughly step by step what I need to do and how everything will work. That’s is me again. After a very stressful negotiation with this company we decided to continue in the purchase of the apartment and couldn’t be worst. After a lack of information in the home report that builds with more than 4 floors bead to have lift by new regulations and just a few lenders accept to mortgage apartments in 5 floors without lift we got one. Lender tried 3 times to organise the service but Alen and Harris have not organised the appointment so they came to us telling the seller will put apartment back to market. Terrible service,terrible organisation, terrible customer service. Maybe now they will sell to their friend.

GoogleWe had a mortgage meeting with Poppy after great recommendations and we have honestly had the best experience so far. Learning everything mortgage, being contactable whenever we need her and feeling secure with her advice. Thanks to her we have had an offer accepted on our first home within a week of our first meeting. The services Allen & Harris provide is second to none. Cannot recommend more!

GoogleWe had tried to sell our house three times just prior to and throughout the pandemic, each time a buyer would pull out further down the chain, the house we wanted got taken off the market and overall we lost our dream houses twice. However, we have finally sold our through A&H Witney and have secured the 'Official Dream House' and it's fair to say that it wouldn't have happened without Alex and the team fighting our corner at every turn. They have all been great, so responsive to all enquiries and making the whole process so easy to understand. I really can't fault them.... if we ever need to resell this is the Agency we will contact.

He updated us and is good in replying to emails. He is knowledgeable and he helped us get our mortgage. Also, Alex Chappell is so professional and helpful and polite. All the staff at Allen and Harris are friendly and helpful. We are glad we chose them to help us on our journey to finding our new home. Very satisfied.

Allen and Harris Abingdon were the agents for our onward purchase. Firstly Katherine and then Gemma were really good at keeping us informed what was happening. Much better than the agents who were selling our property. On what was a very long ongoing sale and purchase through no fault of Allen and Harris Gemma worked hard at trying to keep the chain active and to find solutions to push things on. GoogleI saw a flat I liked that was being sold by Allen and Harris. I booked a viewing for Friday evening with Lisa Cox. Lovely lady, extremely friendly and very helpful. She showed me round and answered all my questions and more. I put in an offer, and a couple more, and she kept me informed straight away and a price was agreed on the following Monday. She was as excited as I was when she told me that the offer had been accepted.

We recently sold a property with Allen & Harris Witney. From start to finish the agents were professional, knowledgeable, responsive and dedicated. They worked relentlessly to seek a qualified buyer, for a very fair price in a short time period, particularly amiss pandemic. We must add that Mr Alexander Chappell, in particular was invaluable (and exceptional) throughout the entire sale process. And even post-sale! Alexander is very very reliable, efficient and organised, and his communication skills are top notch. Whether we needed a quick answer to a question, detailed email or a phone call to explain an intricate process - he was there to ensure our understanding and satisfaction. Moreover to all professional qualities, he defines a decent person . There is no other sales agent I would rather have had representing my family and I. A true asset to this particular firm. PORT TALBOT OFFICE - The worst experience I've ever had with an estate. I had a pleasant viewing with the owner who showed me around when the estate agent wasn't available. Loved the house a d spent 2 hours chatting with the owner who seemed more than keen to sell to me, even asked me to exchange numbers to keep each other updated as this agent allowed his last sale to fall through and never notified him.Later the same day I txt the owner and offered full asking, telling him he could take as much time as needed to decide. He replied instantly and accepted. I emailed the agent and formally submitted my offer as well as my mortgage in principle proof of funds (far more than enough to Substantiate my offer) I phoned the next working day a d the agent Sarah Rowlands was instantly offish and dismissive, huffing down the phone and acting completely put out that I had called. She was annoyed me and the owner had contact and told me nothing had been accepted and viewings would go ahead still.I heard nothing til I was contacted by Rachel in there mortgage team. I told them I had already got a lender I was happy with but was pushed in to chatting with her anyway. After talking through the mortgage info I was then called yo say my offer was accepted and it would be taken off the market....that was until dat laterite Rachel had decided upon herself to go behind my back and speak to my lender and tell me they wouldn't lend to me...pure rubbish, i had personal contact with my lender and was told that agents tend to use intimidating and bullying tactics to force people to pay for their services.As soon as I refused to pay for the agents in house mortgage service I was ghosted and then told my offer had been gazumped and owner stopped contact. I took it as a blessing in disguise as I would never deal with Sarah or Rachel or this crooked company. A week after that I wascontactedby the owner again who assumee I was still buying...I had to be the one to tell him that his agents lied to him and me and that I was messed around and they declined my offer without his knowledge.Avoid these unprofessional,dishonest,useless, crooked liars at all cost!!!

Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

GoogleFrom our first viewing of the property through to completion Alex made us feel very at ease. He answered all of our questions, was extremely helpful, had some great advice and was very friendly. Nothing was too much bother and was happy to do second and third viewings before completion. As first time buyers we were a little daunted by the experience but everything happened seamlessly. We would highly recommend Allen & Harris estate agents and would definitely use them if we decide to move again in the future.

We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. I was able to call nearly every other day and they'd all be cheerful, tell me I am not a fool for constantly chasing, and just being absolutely lovely. I highly recommend Allen and Harris! Their customer service is on another level and they would bend over backwards if that would help the process move smoother.

Avoid this company at all costs. I used the PPAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

From the initial meeting to the conclusion the Ayr office were fantastic Caitlin, Ben and Allan were calming and reassuring at all stages. I am the anxious type so their management and constant updates were very welcome. I wish I had gone with their lawyers too in retrospect. I would not hesitate to deal with them again!!

Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.
