We have recently reserved a plot at sketchley Gardens and the whole process has been very easy, mainly due to the excellent support received from Katie Eaton, every question we have she has an answer for (or very promptly provides one if she doesn't have the info to hand) she has gone above and beyond to make each step hassle free and reassuring, with an emphasis on excellent communication! We have been in contact with many other housebuilders whilst searching for a new home and most seem disinterested or don't communicate effectively, Katie made us feel wanted and listened too, we are very pleased with crest Nicholson so far and eagerly await the house being completed.

Plot 111 15 Burbidge Fields I just wanted to say that the staff working for Crest Nicholson at the Kingsmead development were excellent. In particular Lauren Hills who we dealt with for the purchase of the new house was so helpful and efficient. She is a credit to your company. Also Alex who stood in for Lauren when she was in your Ashford office was also very good and always eggar to helpAnd Ryan ( who I think is the site foreman/ manager) was so very helpful and brilliant in explaining how the central heating works etc etc. Your company should feel very proud to have these people working for youMr&Mrs Seaman.

Henley Gate - very helpful, friendly and went the extra mile

Samantha & Josh at Henley Gate were so friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help us find our dream home! We were going to buy another house with a different developer but lost faith in them. I called josh with our issue and his product knowledge was second to none. He booked us in to see a show home the following day and answered our 100+ questions and restored our faith with buying a new house. We saw Sam today and reserved our house. She also answered more of our questions and also restored our faith! We are so excited for our house to be built and look forward to our further updates from Sam & Josh.

We have had such a wonderful experience with CN throughout our purchase. The sales team were very welcoming to us and patient as we had numerous visits to the show home before we paid our deposit. They never put any pressure on us to buy at any stage. We did feel there was a little bit of pressure on us to complete once we'd paid the deposit but we understand there is a rough 28 day period to complete and our house sales took many months to get over the line, which is where our most glowing praise goes....My partner and I sold two properties to purchase our home (1 flat sale and 1 part exchange). The flat sale was a really complicated and stressful process due to recent regulations on flat sales. This threatened to fall through which would have bought the whole transaction to a collapse. This caused us a great deal of anxiety but Danielle Green, our sales progressor, with the help of Jay where wonderful. Danielle would call us weekly for an update and would provide us with constant reassurance that we would not lose the house, even when we were hit with further setbacks, Danielle proved true to her word. She really looked at the human side of the sale rather than the business side and we can't thank her enough. Danielle if you ever read this and are on site, pay us a visit - we'd love to thank you in person!We've now been in our home for two months now and our Assistant Site Manager, Mayur has been equally fantastic. He pays regular visits to us to make sure everything is going well and he'll take any problems away with him and ensure they are fixed in a timely manner. We have recently had a problem with a drip in our boiler. We called the site manager and there was a plumber on our doorstep within 5 minutes. The snagging has been completed to a high standard, including a partial garden redesign as it was not what we were expected.Whilst not CN, the construction team are so friendly and respectful, switching off noisy machinery whilst we walk passed with my children, one of which is Autistic, which meant a great deal to us.Overall I have nothing but praise for everyone who has been involved in our journey to our home. We couldn't be happier.

If only I could add photos! My previous review below was reported! I had to verify as someone… had tried to take it down. However I have all the evidence and not one word I have said is a lie! I’m now blocked from commenting on Crests Facebook page.. why Crest? If you have nothing to hide why try to delete the real reviews? If these reviews are that bad then why do you not help these people and fix these problems? I have countless photos and emails. The amount of chasing I have had todo as well as the NHBC, just to get a reply! Where is the outstanding customer service?! Search mould Crest Nicholson on Facebook and you can see photos and videos of what we have had to go through!

Horrendous company to deal with

Horrendous company to deal with. Purchased property on their Monksmoor Park development nearly 5 years ago and the sales team couldn’t do enough and promised the world we were confident that we had made the correct decision to buy - how wrong we were! The sales team lull you into a false sense of security so you take the bait. As soon as we moved in there has been nothing but issue after issue! For the 1st 3 months couldn’t live downstairs due to serious mould issues and when Rainbow International were eventually called in by CN, the internal wall in our kitchen was wetter than a garden retaining wall!!! We had no kitchen for weeks and no living room and a child who had not long been diagnosed with Asthma, and CN didn’t give a monkeys! For the whole period of living in the property we, every 6 weeks or so, have to unblock the drains outside. Despite being told maybe 3 years ago by a drainage company who their groundworkers brought in that there was an issue, CN refused to acknowledge this and told us to go to NHBC as they wouldn’t fix this and some outstanding issues. NHBC sent independent drainage company in, and as soon as he lifted the lid he said there is an issue. However, their ‘highly qualified’ site manager who did the same said there was a blockage and it was domestic waste 😂 couldn’t make it up really! NHBC have offered a settlement for outstanding work and CN have said they’ll sort the drains that run UNDER our house! Their possible solution will ruin any chance of the extension we have plans to put on…Stay away from Crest Nicholson, many people save for years to be able to buy their property and these cowboys take your money and literally run! They will basically call you a liar despite having a paper trail of emails detailing everything and wash their hands of you. They sold us a house that wasn’t fit for purpose and there is plenty of people out there who have also been treat this way after not accepting an inadequate house. There is a number of properties on this development alone that have has serious issues with their houses and then with getting CN to actually resolve them! Save money, tears and heartache and buy from a small developer who actually care about what they sell.*in response to Crests automatic response of not being able to resolve issues - you haven’t resolved issues in the last 5 years! You blatantly ignore emails & phone calls, we have a paper trail that’s beyond a joke! You’ve refused to fix work from original snag list 4.5 years ago despite agreements to do so, your site team lie along with your customer service department!

Great but could be excellent...

This was my second purchase from Crest Nicholson. I dealt with Christine who sold me my previous flat. Both times, Chris was amazing, she made the experience of buying a new build really easy and seamless. I was kept informed at all times about the progress of the build, I never had to chase her for updates or information. Questions and queries were answered promptly and honestly. She's always very professional, friendly and personable.As for the building itself, I've only been living in the house for a month and so far it's OK. Soundproofing between floors and attached house is not very good and so it sounds like everyone and everything is very loud. Some of the finishing materials are rather on the cheap and basic side and the energy ratings of the white goods are terrible. The quality of the finish was spectacular in my first property and it's just average in this house. I wish they had more options to choose from for those who may want a higher end finish as this is common practice with a lot of other house builders. On the plus side, the house is very warm and well insulated, it also looks really nice on the outside. The garage is a very generous size and the drive is big enough for 3 average size cars. The space inside is generally well designed especially the kitchen/dining space. There is a lot of storage space on all three floors and room sizes are pretty good for a new build. So far, all the issues we've raised as being urgent, have been dealt with quickly and that's been great. So on the whole, it's been a very good experience.

I am happy with the service provided by Elizabeth Soar @ Kegworth Gate site of Crest Nicholson. Liz was very helpful and friendly all the time from first going to site for formal viewing, communicated well with all the requirements and matching home with different types of houses built there.Always smiling and go one more mile to help for any question we ask to her. The site is located on very good location near the M1 junction 24 & very near to East midlands airport, Sergo East Midlands Gateway Logistics park for easy everyday transit for job(GoGreen). Nottingham University is not far from the location also that was one of the reason I have selected the location itself. Kegworth is very nice small village with good commute to other locations via Bus or your own Car. I can't wait to move once everything ready for me there.
