GoogleWe were looking for a flat to buy in the West End of Glasgow at a time when the market was running fairly warm, so generally in favour of the vendors. Agents are acting for the vendors of course, but despite that we felt that Slater Hogg & Howison in general and Linda Borthwick in particular were always being fair and always doing their best to match us to suitable properties and to make sure that we were successful in finding and securing something suitable. We couldn't be happier.

GoogleOutstanding service from Elaine, Linda and Claire with helping me buy my 2nd property and arranging the mortgage. Everything was done quickly and the ladies were always available to answer my queries. Highly reccomend, couldn't have done it without them.

GoogleTried on numerous occasions to find an email address to ask a couple of questions, then having failed to be able to do that, sent their feedback form, which the web site said couldn't be delivered, tried putting in the address of the house, which came up automatically to find a branch, the web site said couldn't locate the address, tried putting Glasgow to find a branch and it says none in Glasgow. Very frustrating, will go to another estate agent that has a user friendly web site and allows email contact

GoogleI have sold two properties through the Westend Branch, and the service provided by the whole team has been impeccable and of the highest standard, from keeping me updated to making contact with the purchasers on my request at any time I made contact. I only have words of gratitude as my concerns were always listened to and taken care of in a proficient manner. I would also take this opportunity to give my sincerest gratitude to Mitra Tehrani and Lisa Carline, both team members dealt with me directly and are such an added bonus to the team and Slater Hogg’s business, both are such amazing staff members and treated my like their own and not like one if your average Tesco shoppers. 10/10

GoogleFrom first contact both Elaine Anderson and Greig Cochrane could not have been more helpful and supportive. They have gone above and beyond to provide me with information and insights a first time buyer simply would not have. I firmly believe that without either of them I would not have been been able to purchase a property that filled all of my criteria and hopes. GoogleAidan and Lisa did a great job of marketing and selling our flat, with the sale just finalised today. Their help and advice was particularly vital as we live more than 3 hours drive away from Glasgow and could not be present for viewings etc. At the start they advised on the presentation of the property and at the end organized the clearance of furniture and other items not wanted by the purchaser at short notice. Their considered advice on dealing with offers also proved very sound. We would recommend them most highly as selling agents.

GoogleI viewed a property and was called for Feedback afterwards by Elaine, although it wasn't for me she listened to my requirements (which were quite specific) and assured me that she would 'find me something ideal'. It was my first conversation with her but she did call me a few days later with basically exactly what I was looking for. I was very lucky as we got the apartment and got the keys only today. I only viewed two properties in total during my search and the second as Elaine promised was perfect for me and what I was looking for. You cant really ask for more from an agent and she was also very friendly. Cant recommend enough.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleTerrible experience with Slater Hogg & Howison. Arranged a viewing. On a day it was snowing but we still trekked through the weather to the property to view. Arrived before the viewing time. No one at the property. Waited until viewing time, still no one at property. Called the staff member arranged viewing with us. No answer. The answer phone simply went straight to 'beep' with no recorded message whatsoever. Called the branch. No answer. Waited for another 30 mins at the property, tried many more times ringing the bell and calling phone numbers. No answer at all. Extremely unprofessional! My partner really liked the property, so she tried getting in touch again by going to agency's official website to request a new viewing. Never got any reply. Extremely unprofessional!

GoogleSlater Hogg handled the sale of a house for an elderly relative going into a care home. This was made more awkward by the fact that I do not live in Scotland. Due to issues with the buyers the sale fell though twice. Slater Hogg took all of this in their stride and worked quickly and efficiently towards generating enough interest to allow a new closing date to be set. Successfully sold the house at the third attempt.PositiveProfessionalism
