Professional Service and Helpful staff - Lower Earley

Lower Earley Branch - After reading the reviews, other branches do not seem so successful, however this branch is very good. Staff respond promptly to queries and a very helpful and friendly. I am happy to be renting on of their properties as I feel looked after. Other estate agents in the area were very unprofessional and lacked prompt communication. Antony is particularly helpful. I only knock one star off as it was not disclosed within the tenancy the frequency of inspections to my property, this part was very vague.

Good service and we are very happy customers.

We chose Romans to sell our property as Ian Lewis was the most professional and friendly of several we met. The sales process was well managed throughout, a buyer was found quickly and the sale could have been concluded quickly, but for issues with the purchase of our new property. Ian also assisted with that, where possible. Both properties complete in 1 week and we are happy to recommend Romans in Wokingham.

Our fridge-freezer was broken beyond…

Our fridge-freezer was broken beyond repair and we emailed our property manager BenjaminNujeerallee. Ben was on it from day 1 and we had a Homecare cover from our landlord.The engineer visited the next day and in a couple of days our landlord had submitted all documents needed for a nee fridge.Ben liaised with them for us and a nee fridge was delivered to us in a reasonable time

Jordan was very helpful, easy to contact friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended! Life time legal charged me a monthly fee which I did not want. I had to chase them to cancel the DD I didn’t want, I couldn’t find an opt out option on there website.

100% do not recommend!

I tried to buy a house with Romans Bracknell. I would not wish to repeat the experience! The viewing and initial negotiation went well, and everyone I spoke to at this stage was very pleasant. I wanted to move before the stamp duty freeze ended, but the people I was trying to buy from went suspiciously quiet at the beginning of June for about two weeks. My solicitors chased twice a day, every day with no response from their solicitors, and the Move Manager was unable to get any information to me either. Obviously it was a time of extremely high demand and very stressful for all concerned, but the lack of communication compounded this - and - upon reflection, I now think was deliberate stalling tactics.Eventually at the last minute (as I completed the sale of my property and was ready to exchange) I was told the sellers were not prepared to inconvenience themselves and move out in time for me to take advantage of the stamp duty holiday. I think they hoped as we were so far down the line, I would not walk away.I received a call from someone senior at Romans which was aggressive and actually quite threatening. I would not recommend this person speak to anyone (let alone a female) in this manner again. He told me they would market the property again for more money if I withdrew my offer, and that his clients were not willing to disrupt themselves or bear the cost of breaking the chain to move out earlier than 30th June. Unfortunately he was unable to advise of what date they could move out - effectively rendering me homeless for an indefinite amount of time!By pure fluke, I put an enquiry in to view another house and spoke to the agent at the top of the chain who advised me of the potential move date. It took Romans a further week to communicate this date to me. I withdrew my offer as my circumstances changed, and I felt there was a basic lack of respect for my time and costs. I understand the fees are ultimately paid by the sellers, but they can only be paid when someone buys! If there had not been a delay, I would - without question - have bought the property. But the attitude displayed to me has put me off ever dealing with this agent again. There are other, much more reputable agents in the local area, who must find it frustrating when their deals are ruined by others.

Excellent service from Romans, Devon and Afiya were very helpful throughout the process. I've knocked one star off because Romans use a company called the Lettings Hub for gathering references. My experience with the Lettings Hub was incredibly stressful and I would be wary of going through the process again. However, as I have said, the actual team at Romans were quick to respond to all of my queries (of which there were many), and I am looking forward to my move.PositiveResponsiveness, Value

David Mauzhendi was so helpful with finding a new place to live. He helped us secure the house swiftly, against a lot of competition, even staying after hours to make sure that my partner and I were the ones to get the house! He was very professional and knowledgeable and answered any question we had efficiently. My partner and I could not attend a viewing as we lived across the country, however David offered to give us a virtual tour that same day, allowing us to be able to secure the property before anyone else. David went above and beyond while helping us secure a beautiful home and even secured a bed for the property! Long Distance Landlord
