We couldn't be any happier! The whole team at Haart has been fantastic, but in particular Jack Coates and Tony Mitchell have been with us every step of the way. Jack advised us in how to prepare the house for viewings, took great pictures and filmed a brilliant video to present the property. As a result, we accepted an offer only three weeks after the property went on the market! We also had some issues with our onward purchase and Jack and Tony have helped us there as well, even for things that would have been the other retail agent's duty. My partner and I wholeheartedly recommend the Haart team at Welwyn Garden City and won't hesitate to contact them again when we need to sell another property in the future!

I purchased a house recently through Haart and dealt with Nicole Lucas (EA - Welwyn Garden City). Nicole went above and beyond to assist in pushing through this purchase, given we had a lot of difficulty on the sellers side. Throughout the process, Nicole was incredibly informative and proactive to the point where she supported the transaction in ways outside of her job. I often felt she was on our side, despite the fact EA's work for the seller. Given the hurdles I faced, I'm pleased I had Nicole to rely on throughout. I am reasonably happy with how things ended after what was a frustrating start. We were significantly over-sold by Tony on the quality of their marketing activity. I bought into his enthusiasm (which other agents didn't have) rather than his words, however I'd have expected him to back up what he claimed. Firstly, I was told that they had amazing photography. This is not the case. The images were poorly lit and the video was horrible. Secondly, we were over quoted by more than £25k on the sale price. We eventually sold for £13K below the bottom end of the range we were told. This wasn't the reason we chose Haart, but something to be aware of. Finally we were told that they "don't just rely on Right Move to get viewings". I'm not exactly sure what other source of viewings were. It seems viewings only increased when the price was dropped on Right Move. We had tenants in our property which made viewings difficult as the tenants were not overly cooperative. The support of Nicole and Charlie was great in communicating with the tenants and myself to arrange viewings. We set up a WhatsApp group which helped with transparency and removed the conflicting messages between the tenants and Haart. Top marks here. Once an offer was accepted, Tony was excellent in his communication and pushing solicitors. There were instances again of over promising and under delivering. We were told for four consecutive weeks that we'd be completing that Friday which didn't materialise. This was completely out of the agents control, so to promise this seems foolish. I'd advise Tony to just manage expectations and not over promise. In summary, Tony and the rest of the team (Nicole and Charlie) will work very hard for you, but expect some salesmanship and exaggeration.PositiveResponsiveness

Tony at Haart valued our house accurately and found a buyer at close to the asking price. He kept us updated on a regular basis so we were very happy with the service. There were hiccups in the chain but he worked hard to keep it all together and was on the phone with updates almost every day towards the end, so he worked hard for his commission. This was the 12th house transaction in my lifetime so I think I can claim to know the difference between good bad service by now and Haart gave us excellent service.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

All through the process they have been responsive, professional and a delight to engage with. Both Tony Mitchell and Nicole Lucas were always at the end of the phone guiding us through what can be a stressful and complicated process. They recommended using their group legal team (Beaumont Legal), and that proved to be a great decsion as shared information during the process was readlily available to Tony and Nicole, keeping them and us up to date. The legal information was handled on a secure online portal, giving the team and us the ability to view and upload documents easily.

I used Haart to help me buy my first property and was incredibly impressed with the service provided. Tony, Charlie and the team were very reassuring and helped answer all of my queries. There was always someone available at the end of the phone and I appreciated that I would get a call from them on a weekly basis to check everything was going smoothly. I am happy with the service I got from Haart. It seems like a life time ago that I phoned Haart and spoke to Chris to arrange a viewing. Chris asked me a few basic questions about the type of place I was looking to buy and arranged the viewing I was interested in. He also arranged another viewing at a very similar flat . Chris sorted it so that I was able to view each flat one after the other . This was very helpful. Chris let us know that his college Carl would show us around the flats. On the day of the viewing Carl was in his Haart car waiting for us. Carl showed us around the outside of the flat and then the inside. He walked around the flat with us and then he let us wonder around on our own. He explained that another viewer was coming around shortly and then he would take us around the second flat. The second viewer turned up and carl showed them around. We then all met in the kitchen and had a very relaxed chat about the flat. Carl was able to answer all questions about the flat from ourselves and the second viewer. When everyone was ready to leave we all left. Carl took us to the second flat while the second viewer was of to another viewing in another town. Once again at the second flat Carl took us around the outside of the flat first and then the communal area and then finally in side . Carl gave us plenty of time to wonder around, first with him and then on our own. We met in the kitchen and carl was able to answer all our questions. We left feeling happy and relaxed. Monday morning Chris phoned and asked how the viewing went. I said I wanted to put an offer on one of the flats. Chris sounded very excited. Chris phoned me back and sounding excited said the offer was accepted . I now spoke to Tony from Haart for the first time. I agreed to let Haart sort out the lawyers and mortgage for me and soon found my self filling up loads of paper work and forms. It was at this point things went a little wrong. I realised that I was filling up paper work for two sets of lawyers and paying for them as well. I spoke to Tony and James Peters the haart mortgage man about this and soon I was told which lawyer I should be dealing with and I soon had a refund from the second lawyer. At about this time James had sorted out a mortgage for me more forms and paper work. During this time Tony would phone or text me asking how things were going and reminding me to do the paperwork. Suddenly Tony phoned asking if I was happy to move on this or that day. My lawyer phoned asking to transfer the deposit. A few hours later Tony phoned and congratulated me on my new flat. He said I could get the keys in two weeks time.

Overall the service from Haart and Tony’s team was very professional. All the additional requirements such as the ECP, house photos…. were bought together well and were also very professional. Chris and the other team members who conducted the viewings were professional pleasant and considerate. The house was Marketed well and sold quickly. The one stumbling block was the constant delay after delay due to the second from bottom of the chain (only six houses in the chain and we were number four). I believe Tony tried his utmost to resolve the issues but appreciate there is little that can be done to resolve issues with intransigent and what appeared to be totally unprofessional and incompetent solicitors for those at the bottom of the chain. At times we were being informed weekly that exchange would be next week which was a little frustrating. I see this as part and parcel of the moving experience and as I say was not in any part to due Haart. Tony was always willing to go the extra mile such as negotiate a price for the house we were purchasing. So, now we have a completion date, the bad experiences of moving are pushed to the back of our minds and we are more than happy we proceeded and have completed.

My partner and I purchased our first home through WGC Haart. We saw this property last minute at the end of the day on Saturday and called the office, Anna Haponiuk answered. She was the most helpful, and even though her shift had just finished, she offered to show the property to us anyway. Very enthusiastic, knew about the property, not pushy and we both give her a 100% mark. We ended up making an offer and buying. Harry was also great who is a mortgage broker there and again is very knowledgeable. Tony was generally available if we needed to check progress. I would recommend however that a local conveyancer or solicitor is used for the transfer, rather than a firm in Leeds (to be reviewed seperately)
