We approached Richard James Estate Agents after using their services previously, so they were our first choice in selling our family home of 66 years. After the initial call to the Wellingborough branch we were quickly given a date for a market appraisal that was confirmed for Richard Fowler to conduct the appraisal. During the appointment Richard pointed out the negatives and the positives within the property and gave us valuable and very useful advice and quoted us a price that we all agreed on. The property swiftly went live with pictures taken at all angles showing our quirky house and complimented with a stunning coloured booklet. The viewing was attended by a member of Richard James which was the first after 2 weeks going live and the applicant put in an offer on the property. During the process everyone we dealt with was friendly, contactable and extremely knowledgeable and always made themselves available whenever we had questions. Christopher Wise kept us informed of the process every step of the way and was very knowledgeable and professional. Very easy to interact with. There is a question of what do you get for your money when you list your house for sale and instruct an estate agent to sell it for you. On the most basic level, you would expect a picture of your house in the window of the agent's office, to arrange the viewings and then negotiate with the buyer over their offer and deal with the process as it is probably quite lengthy. After James visited to talk us through the process, we arranged to list it there and then. He revisited to take measurements and photographs and, once the property was listed, it sold after 2 viewings and 3 days. After that, RJ contacted us with questions from the buyers or to give us information that we weren't getting elsewhere. Most of the process happens without any direct involvement from us as a vendor. So it is worth the fees -1% doesn't look like much until it comes off the bottom line of the sale price. Given the house sold in three days and is not still on the market nearly 12 months later, we would have to say that the results speak for themselves and it was worth every penny. We won't sell or buy another house, but if we did, we'd go straight back to Richard James

This is a very delayed review, apologies. Last year we sold and brought a property through Richard James. We previously had a sale and purchase fall through, which was extremely disappointing. This was with a different agent. I've got to say service was excellent, feedback always given as was advice. We had many issues with our sales and purchase....pretty convinced if Chris wasn't so on the ball, it wouldn't have happened. So this is is a big shout out to Chris who went above and beyond, so easily could gave fallen apart. One of the reasons this review is delayed, we have been doing up our new house, which we love. Thanks guys, you were fantastic including all the girls doing the viewings especially Stacey,, who was so clued up and professional. Thank you for all of your help.

The day I agreed to place my house on the market with Richard James it went live within 2 hours. I had plenty of viewings in a short space of time and had an offer within 3 weeks.
