Fantastic level of customer service

My experience with cubitt and west has been fantastic from the get go. They have been very helpful and always there to answer questions if I had any. They reply super fast and if you phone them, they are more than happy to speak on the phone with you. A special mention for Julie who has been fantastic throughout my whole sale of my property. We had a few things go wrong in the chain and she has been fantastic guiding me through it!

Branch good, staff great!

The Cubitt & West branch we used were absolutely fantastic. Always there when we needed them and always the most helpful, especially when we had any questions or issues. My only personal issue with the company would be their use of a certain solicitors. I was deeply unhappy with their recommendation of solicitors who they recommended. You may say that I could have got my own but at that moment, being a first time buyer, I felt very much pushed into that choice. Things were great with the company themselves though. We were assigned Julie to help us and she's been absolutely spectacular. The amount of calls I've made to her to moan is frankly ridiculous but shes always been there to help, to explain what's going on and why, and to be that voice of reason when we needed it most. Very happy to have worked with her and if the review was just for her, it would have been an easy 5*!

Both Fred and Richard were fantastic in helping us with our property search. There were never too many questions asked or phone calls made and both kept communication clear when negotiating with the vendors. They have made our search for a family home enjoyable and we are delighted that we have found our next home thanks to them. We couldn’t haven asked for a better experience with them both. Fred has been to view a few properties with us and attended when we wanted to return a several times to our future property. He was friendly and chatty and never overbearing or pushy with offers and so incredibly helpful in answering questions and negotiating with the sellers. Although we have never met in person, Richard was always so helpful on the phone be via email. Thank you to you both.

I had quite a stressful buying experience where I was mainly dealing with an auction company. Quite early on, I remember asking Jemma from Cubitt and West if I could just deal with her instead as she was so good! On the day of completion, the seller hadn't yet moved out. After returning to Cubitt and West (in a very sour mood), both Jemma and Richard (the manager) were more than helpful and Richard even personally offered to drive to the address with me to put pressure on the seller to get out immediately. After I kindly declined, he continued working the phone without me asking in order to get the seller gone as quick as possible. All of the staff I dealt with from Cubitt and West in Uckfield were fantastic to say the least, with particular mention to Jemma and Richard. If you're thinking of buying or selling I'd highly recommend this branch.

Due to a family bereavement we had to sell a home that had been in the family since early 1970’s. Richard was very patient and helpful and offered some good advice prior to marketing the property. It sold very quickly however it came to light that the potentially buyers were completely committed so it was sold again to other buyers, part of a long chain. Garry, the sales progressor then took over the reins. It was not an easy transaction as people lost buyers, lack of communication between solicitors was slow- very slow, however Garry persisted and kept me updated by weekly email and phone calls. Completion has finally happened so thank you Richard and Garry

Very Disappointed all round

Don't often write reviews however as my decision to use this estate agents was based on so many good reviews, I felt I needed to share my experience.After having 5 valuations of my apartment, I decided to use the Southsea branch as I was very impressed with their manager Samara. She was very prepared and seemed very knowledgeable and didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear. They were the most expensive but she justified that with all the extra things she offered to sell my property such as building initial excitement with a pre-launch, with their list of 200+ looking for a similar property working with homeserve for over 60s.Once the contract was signed, communication just disappeared and there was no pre-launch. Just the day before my property went live, only a handful of people had been contacted so there was no such pre-launch. the launch for a weekend went wrong and my property only went on one of the main sites and not the others like it should. They didn't even notice. I had to advise them on the Monday that my property was missing. One of the biggest failures was on the advert was no floor plan and I wasn't generally happy with the advert at all. It was very basic and not making the most of the property at all. Despite multiple calls I couldn't get hold of the manager and she never bothered to call me back and she was the only one that could make any changes apparently. I was then told that a floor plan hadn't been done as my own photos were used but this was never explained. Weeks went by and after going into the shop directly I finally managed to get agreement to some changes made and I was told a floor plan was being done, however all the changes still didn't get put through. I basically re-wrote the ad myself and the floor plan was only put on as a picture so it still didn't show there was a floor plan and there was a sizing error on it that again I pointed out. I didn't get any interest at all or a single viewing on my property, a very smart and tidy property, and there was no communication or feedback around what was happening and what they were doing to sell and even though I tried to express my disappointment they just didn't seem to care and then just blamed it on the price. I don't dispute the market is challenging but I strongly feel the advert let it down and the lack of a floor plan was a big failure, I've also noticed that links that I see on Facebook don't work so when you click on a property that they are advertising it just takes you to a blank white page.Selling a property is stressful enough but it should be a collaborative approach with your agent and I found the total lack of communication and feeling that they were not interested a real let down.
