I am writing this review to express my utter distaste and disbelief at the customer service I have received from this business. I recently enquired regarding an apartment which had been advertised by your team on Rightmove and which I was very interested in renting. Therefore I called your team immediately to arrange a viewing. I managed to secure the first viewing of the apartment within the earliest time slot. Once this was arranged (as it was days in advance of the viewing appointment) I had time to think it over and didn’t want to take the chance of losing this property so I once again communicated with your team to see whether I could put an offer in without viewing the apartment as I was happy with the photos posted on the site. I was told that it is not possible and that I need to view the apartment first. After viewing the apartment I spoke to your office immediately to put in an offer and I even went over and above the asking price to secure the property. I was told my offer will be put through to the landlord and I would get an answer the following day. The following day, I had heard nothing, no communication whatsoever so once again I rang your office around midday to ask for an update. I was told the person dealing with it was not in that morning which is why there is a delay but he would get back to me in the afternoon. There was still no communication. I called the office again at around 3:30pm for an update after the flat status had miraculously changed to ‘let agreed’ online. I was then informed that the status was updated to stop further enquiries but they’ve not come to a decision yet but someone will call me back by the end of day (6pm). I can’t help but think that this is not true as every time I communicated it seemed like I was bothering them and was an inconvenience asking for an update on my offer when I was promised a call that day. All I wanted was an update! Fast forward to 5:30pm I call again and was told that a message has been passed for someone to call me back urgently before 6pm. I didn’t receive any call, as expected. The following morning I hoped someone would get back to me first thing having passed the message the following evening… but no call once again. I then called up at 10:45am to be told “We’ve just taken a holding deposit and unfortunately the landlord did not choose you. We were actually about to call you right now!” (Hmm, sure). I wasn’t given any other information and the lady on the phone rushed to end the call but said they would call me back if anything changes. In my humble opinion, they had already earmarked this property for somebody else prior to the viewings. After having to call up 4 times for an update I don’t believe anyone will contact me. I have provided my phone number and email also but I seem to be ignored. I work in a very similar industry and I understand things can get busy, however ignoring someone for over 24 hours and then to be bluntly told their application did not go through is quite rude and disrespectful. Total waste of time and terrible communication. Avoid this letting agency at all costs.

From start to finish - the service received was exemplary. I couldn't be happier. The old adage you get what you pay for certainly rings true here. Calls were followed up in a timely manner, buyers chased, and my place, after a VERY very long journey, through multiple agents, sold. Their photographer contractor was superb (and actually professional) - honestly, the service I got was that of if I was selling a very high end property. The team at Haslemere all knew what was going on everyday of our journey through our house sale. Through the experience of loosing a buyer they shared the disappointment with us and I really felt their support. Alice and Florrie were brilliant with the viewings I did, very supportive, chasing clients that were late, giving me the background of each buyers position. So good. Toby, well what can I say, always cheerful, always had his eye on the ball, communication exemplary and support right to the end. I cannot recommend this estate agent highly enough. They will be on my Christmas card list. The selling journey is never enjoyable but the team in Haslemere made it bearable.

They dealt with the sale sensitively from day one, as it was a probate sale, and helped us through every step with kindness and consideration. A buyer was found very quickly (within the first day!) and Florrie and Toby were excellent at keeping us up to date at all times, and driving the sale through during some more difficult moments occurring further down the chain. We used Henry Adams because they had successfully marketed and sold a house in close proximity to ours. The service provided in the sale of our own property was excellent, from the intial advice on how to best present the property to prospective buyers, preparing all the marketing material and administering buyer visits. All of the staff that we met were professional in their approach, efficient and friendly. We received an offer at not far off the suggested guide price within just over a month of coming to market and completion about 6 weeks after that, with good support from Toby Miller, Mark Adams and the rest of the team througout the process. This was not a positive experience for us. Although communication was polite, there was no real assessment of our situation. After explaining that I have rented the same property for over 15 years with a perfect payment history, the focus was placed almost entirely on rigid criteria such as requiring a UK guarantor or 6, 12 months’ rent upfront. As a result, there was no realistic way to proceed, despite our long-term stability and full-time employment. While I continue to receive automated property listings, there was no meaningful support or willingness to consider our circumstances on an individual basis at the time we actively needed help. This approach may work for applicants who fit a very narrow profile, but for long-term, reliable tenants with real-life situations, it felt inflexible and discouraging.

FAKE GOLD ALERT Henry Adams Fine Art Auctioneers We bought a gold ring from Henry Adams Fine Art Auctioneers in a high-end jewelry sale for nearly £300. When we sent the ring to a jeweler to be resized , we were told by the jeweler that when they machine tested it, it turned out to be fake gold!! We sent it back to Henry Adams, explaining it was fake gold . Their TV celebrity emailed us to tell us, ''It was never sold as gold'' even though it was placed in a high-end jewelry sale... we never got our money back.
