Edit: having initially given an excellent review (which was solicited in any event as bonuses are linked to it) it later transpired that promises had been made to a tenant for improvements without authorisation by us, having lodged a complaint, it was dismissed out of hand in a rude and arrogant manner stating incorrect ‘legal advice’. After the complaint, the tenant was contacted directly by Bridgfords we assume in order to attempt to cause further issues between us, we can only guess that it was as retaliation for the complaint, luckily we have an excellent relationship with all our tenants and we were able to compromise on the minor matters raised, we would not use Bridgfords again. I have removed the individuals name from the original review to avoid embarrassment.

Absolutely fantastic service from bridgfords from start to finish! House photos and adverts definatly got our house a lot more viewings than our previous estate agent! Most of all if anybody is looking for someone to do there mortgage for them LIAM BUNKER is AMAZING !! I cant recommend him highly enough! His service, skills and manner are amazing and he was so helpful through out all of the process- we had more contact with Liam than our solicitor which was in fact much better. He went above and beyond for us which we were so grateful for especially in the last coming weeks of the move! My advice to anyone looking to sell absolutely go with Bridgfords not there solicitors via “conveyencing connect “ very poor service from that dept - but definetly definately LIAM BUNKER hes in the office at Washington!

Having purchased a house through Bridgfords in Washington, a special thankyou must go out to Rachel Bell and Liam Bunker who have both given us outstanding Customer Service. Rachel has guided us seamlessly through the whole buying process, being only too happy to help with any queries, and very efficiently. Liam has arranged our mortgage and insurance cover. The customer service we have received from him has been second to none. I highly recommend using Bridgfords in Washington, and they deserve the 5-Star rating I'm giving them.

Terrible communication, valuations and organisation.

We sold our flat with Bridgfords Swinton and the experience with them was terrible from start to finish. They over-valued our property by £15,000, meaning that when our buyers applied for their mortgage they refused to give them their full amount, causing us to have to sell the property for £15,000 less as we didn’t have the time to put the property back in the market due to our chain. We had further issues with our buyers’ mortgage application causing a huge delay in the sale, and we actually ending up initially losing our forward purchase due to this. Throughout this whole nightmare Bridgfords were absolutely useless. We told them time and time again to call my partner instead of me, due to our professions, and they constantly ignored this and rang me. We had to deal with our buyers directly as Bridgfords had very little communication with either of us, and would actually ring us to ask for an update on our buyers situation! Causing us more stress and an extra party to deal with and update. Whenever we spoke with Bridgfords they had absolutely no idea what was going on and couldn’t keep track of any part of the sale. They were by far more of a hinderance than a help. They also didn’t conduct any showings of our flat themselves (as they had initially sold to us) and we had to do every showing as whenever we asked them they said they were busy. They charged us £2,200 for the pleasure of all of this.Overall, if we ever come to sell again we will be sure to steer clear of Bridgfords and would highly advise others do the same.

Dont Waste Your Time

I had a very bad experience with one of their estate agent in cheadle hulme. Be aware of Omara, she views you the property and stands still and doesn't even puts up an effort to speak or show the property. A pure lack of training and wonder how bridgfords keep a check? On top, if there's other properties to see, they'd give you excuses and never deliver what they promise, delays on delays. I guess barely they have good agents and mostly its all bad. Its pitty to know what such companies has such employee who works as if they are forced to do so.

Do not trust them, they will rob you blind

Do not under any circumstances go with these! They will steal from you. They never asked prior to us applying whether we would need a guarantor and because it became obvious we did after application they decided not to go with us and stole our holding deposit from us. We a family with a small child and a baby on its way and they refused to give us our money back. They wouldn't budge a little bit. Not even offer a little bit back. Horrible estate agent that will rob you blind. Do not trust them!!!!

Zero engagement for deposit return

My tenancy ended on 9th Jan and I emailed Bridgfords to ask how I go about getting my deposit back.Emailed again on 15th Jan saying there had been no reply received to my request.An agent did respond so say someone from the deposit team would be in touch.Chased again on 22nd Jan advising that nothing had been heard - to date zero response.They were very good when it came to take my money. There can be no excuse for the lack of engagement. A dispute has been raised with MyDeposit.

Ann especially, has always been so helpful in any situations I have come across and is my go-to whenever I have any queries. A one star rating is too good for this…

A one star rating is too good for this business! Completely inept from the agent to their so-called professional mortgage broker. Allowed seller's solicitor to harass and bully me and also bombarded me with messages whilst at work but didn't answer calls when I tried to contact them. I am now out of pocket as seller has withdrawn the property even though it still shows for sale.
