GoogleIf I could rate zero stars I would. I have recently had a terrible experience with Green and Co. Wantage and would seriously never wish to have anything to do with them again! As a buyer spending a significant amount of money on a property, I was treated appallingly! If it had not been for the fact that I absolutely love the property I have purchased through them, both Gemma and James would have put me off the sale along time ago. On several occasions I was on the receiving end of what I can only describe as bullying! Never before have I had to ask someone to stop being so rude to me over the phone (as I did with Gemma when she hung up on me!) Due to having to sell my property in order to purchase my next (standard chain scenario) I was telephoned for updates by these guys almost constantly who became really quite angry with me! The whole experience was dreadful. There is a lot more I could say about their unprofessionalism but the main point here is avoid dealing with these people if you don't want to be treated like dirt!

It will be of little consolation to you but I am least pleased that you do love your new property. I have tried to look into the full position on your file and I understand that it was a complex purchase process with a number of legal issues that needed resolving. I see that the majority of your contact was with Gemma but that you needed to speak to our Sales Manager James when that proved not to be satisfactory. Gemma is no longer with us to be able to analyse quite what went wrong. However if you felt that you had the time I would welcome the opportunity to sit down with you to hear your full story with a view to ensuring that we never see a repetition. GoogleHaving not moved for more than 30 years, the prospect of doing so was rather daunting. Getting older, we wanted to move within the local area to a new, more manageable house / garden on a small select village development which we had identified from the planning application. We believed Green & Co would become the selling agents for the developer (having marketed their previous site) and having met with James Goodman we were impressed with his manner and professionalism and that of his team. We therefore put our house on the market with Green & Co..James and Lucy kept us fully advised after each viewing and of the subsequent various offers made by prospective buyers.
When Green & Co received details of the new site from the developer, James advised us immediately. We were able to view the site details with him and instructed him to put in an 'off plan' offer for one of the properties. James negotiated a very good deal with the developer and we committed to go ahead, albeit the property would not be built / ready for occupation for at least 6 months. As a result, we agreed to accept the most proceedable offer for our property, since we would need to exchange contracts for the sale and purchase in a matter of weeks. To facilitate the move we decided to go into rented accommodation for 6 months. Lorraine at Green & Co Lettings was able to find us a brand new house for this interim period which suited us perfectly.
We cannot speak highly enough about our overall dealings with Green & Co. in not only selling our house, but in buying a new property and securing us interim accommodation. James, Lucy and Gemma in Residential Sales were all terrific as was Lorraine in Lettings. Thank you very much Green & Co - we have achieved exactly what we set out to do with your friendly and professional help.
