The team at Winkworth were great during my recent house move. Charlie has great knowledge of the area and what the market was like in a pandemic and gave good advice and lots of reassurance!The office team were all friendly and helpful and I trusted them to show the house at its best.Finally big shout out to Esta who dealt with the financial side and chased solicitors and buyers and throughout kept me calm. I would highly recommend the whole team in Tooting.

My initial valuation went really well - one of the directors came to see the flat and was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Aside from the excellent photography, this is the only positive thing I have to say about my experience with Winkworth. As soon as my sale was passed on to the office team, things went downhill. Viewings were held by different members of staff, there was no continuity, and on a couple of occasions it was clear staff had not even done basic research into the property (one called me up after a viewing to ask if we had recently renovated the flat - this information was included in the Rightmove description. We had done a complete refurb - a fact I think that prospective buyers would definitely want to know).Calls weren’t returned, communication between staff and from staff to myself was consistently poor. I didn’t feel like the main person in charge of my sale had a good grasp of the process and perhaps this was due to being new. My buyer felt the same and eventually we started emailing each other directly regarding the sale, as it was so much easier than dealing with Winkworth. I honestly felt like I wasted thousands of pounds and could’ve got the same result with purple bricks.

This company has automated viewing booking system from its website. They have the earliest time set as 9 in the morning and the opening time shown on their website is from 9 am as well. However, when I drop by for the viewing, there was nobody, and the auto message from their contact says they'd open from 9:30 only.

Ahmed & Yasmin were great

We recently begun a tenancy with Winkworth and everything has gone super smoothly. I was previously living with friends before moving in with my partner and the difference in our experiences with securing a property was vast. We had no issues at all from start to finish and both Ahmed & Yasmin were helpful and clear with any of our questions and thoughts. Andy at Winkworth was fantastic with incredible hard work, commitment, expertise, and skills at keeping us sane, that we relied on so much during our rather challenging sale process. We were massively pleased that we had chosen these guys as our agent. Winkworth Kensal Rise - honest, responsive and practical

We first bought our property from Winkworth Kensal Rise in 2014. There were two properties on the same street and by comparison our Winkworth agent was up front, transparent and reliable. Fast forward 7 years later, we have let our property through Aaron again at Winkworth Kensal Rise. Again, Aaron and his team have been honest, practical and responsive. Our tenants also seem happy so far. I have also recommended Aaron to friends in the area!

Charlie and his team successfully sold our buy-to-let flat during lockdown in April 2020. We had previously marketed the flat with another well-known Tooting agent for five months. The other agent conducted a crazy number of viewings, which annoyed the tenants and didn't result in any offers. So, second time round, I met with six local agents and Charlie stood out by a mile. He knew Tooting inside out, he knew our development inside out and he could provide evidence of several properties he'd previously sold to back up his valuation. Other agents were trying to hook us in with valuations that were 15% higher, but with no evidence of comparable sales. In contrast, Charlie was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and there was no hard sale. Charlie achieved asking price, communicated brilliantly with our tenants and was amazingly reassuring when everything got a bit stressful! I can't recommend him, Nathan and Kadeem highly enough. Open houses for rentals - no thanks!

This company clearly values the wealthiest tenant over the right kind of tenant.Winkworth is regularly hosting ‘open house’ viewings of rental properties. Potential tenants are bundled into houses in groups or made to stand outside queuing to get in and then encouraged to bid against each other in a bidding war and actively encouraged by the agent to place a higher offer than the advertised rent. Not only is this process discriminatory but it pushes people who may already be stretching their budgets to stretch them even further. Rents advertised should be the rents tenants commit to. If a landlord is keen to earn more than the advertised rent then it should be advertised as ‘offers over’ and the potential open house viewings made explicit. Really disappointed in Winkworth and am searching for an agent who values their customer not merely their wallet.

Angela and her team are AMAZING

Angela and her team are AMAZING! She secured a very quick sale for my house achieving a good amount above the asking price and helped me secure my purchase under the asking price. But where they really really shine is the personal service ironing out the ‘impossible’ scenarios. I was going through a tricky personal time with my Mum in hospital when a neighbour started misbehaving about a nasty notifiable weed which looked as if it would completely scupper the sale, she stepped in with advice, support and telephone numbers.They offer a polite, honest efficient service, so helpful and I contact as a friend as well as a BRILLIANT Estate Agent.No hesitation to recommend.

Great if you are a landlord

Great if you are a landlord, awful if you are a tenant. Trying to raise prices as much as possible, siding with the landlord at every possible opportunity. Two years ago we signed the contract and then Winkworth / the landlord decided not to sign their part until 1 week before moving 'just in case the previous tenants decide not to leave or something'. Were left in a difficult situation as I was moving in with my partner and we both gave notices in our places with the fear that if something went wrong these guys wouldn't have the contract signed. Tried to hike my rent by another 7% after in year for an already overinflated price which had raised by ~20% before I moved in.They also sublet any property management so if you have a problem in the building they do nothing because they just delegate to a 3rd company. Only bother if the issue is inside the flat.Not worse than other agencies though, and that is the problem, this is the situation in England...

I highly recommend Winkworth, and Angus Morton in particular. Angus listened exactly to what I asked for and only showed me properties within my scope and budget, without wasting anyone's time. Angus spent a long time with me in the final flat making every effort to facilitate viewings, where Angus was unavailable to do a viewing Nathan stepped in. Angus handled the negotiations between myself and seller respectfully yet instilling a sense of confidence that a common ground between my initial offer and the original asking price would be achieved. Angus was also very patient with my travel schedule and work commitments that often meant that I was overseas or out of contact for periods of time during the end of negotiations. I ended up exchanging and completing on the same which was pretty unexpected (there were some delays with the vendor that were totally out of everyone's control) however Charlie (Angus had some time off) at Winkworth made sure that the deal was pushed over the line by corralling both sets of solicitors and dealing with my frantic calls with real stoicism. I have ended up with a exactly what I was after, a flat I can make my own and live in for a good few years with a garden in the area that I love. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Winkworth to anyone, their professionalism was poles apart from their peers in the same field. Thanks Guys!
