This is the first time that my wife and I have used Carter Jonas to rent a house. The whole process from the initial viewing to moving in has been excellent. A special thanks to Olivia and Fiona who have been friendly and professional throughout the journey. They even helped organise access to the property a week early so that we were able to move in our new sofa. I would highly recommend Carter Jonas Wandsworth.

Dangerously untrustworthy

Untrustworthy, lazy, never call back as promised and two weeks before our move into a rental property, having sold our house, our tenancy application was cancelled. We had agreed to pay a year up front, take the property as soon as it was available and met every demand such as the credit checks etc. But a worker in Carter Jonas decided not to try to make the deal go through for whatever undisclosed reasons she may have had. My advice would be if you want a roof over your head don’t go anywhere near Carter Jonas.

Worst renting experience of my life.I can go on and on about our awful experience with this branch of Carter Jonas but I don't want to waste any more of my life with this lot so I’ll try to keep it brief, factual and informative. (Also if you look at trust pilot and see the ratio between good and bad reviews, the number of reviews people that rated 5* have left and also read some of the reviews, its clearly incentivised to leave a good review, my opinion).If anyone would like the FULL detail, please get in contact with me and I’m happy to show you everything I have and explain in detail.From day 1 it seemed like this branch of Carter Jonas were against us. They were never on our side when it came to the numerous amount of disputes we had with the landlords property - the landlord even slipped up and told us how Pauline (an associate at Carter Jonas) was pulling the strings on some of the disputes we had, advising the landlord to just shrug us off (might have been just pushing away the blame).Move-in was horrible, the place was disgusting, rubbish left in the garden, broken cabinets, lights, holes in the walls, unclean, dead animals and insects and lots, LOTS more. We were simply brushed away when we complained about the condition of the property time and time again, however we made sure to take as many pictures as we could and save all the emails as we knew Carter Jonas and the Landlord would try their luck.When it finally came to leaving the dump, they decided to charge us over £700 for cleaning and damages. We admitted there were a few minor cleaning issues (couple of stains on the carpet, outside windows needed wiping, sink needed wiping, a few crumbs left on a counter etc.). The checkout was done by Jessica, a property manager, she failed to read the original inventory report and took pictures of problems PRE-DATING our tenancy! She also failed to read the numerous emails we sent complaining about the state of the property which we later used as proof that the problems were already there before we moved in! To add insult to injury Carter Jonas decided to pay over £400 for a full house clean when the cleaning problems could have been fixed by a professional cleaner in a matter of 30 minutes.Now clearly I’m biased but we disputed this £700 with TDS, I have a report from the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) adjudicator which backs our case and everything I’ve said, in the end we got almost £500 back from TDS. Okay im rambling now.. here's the facts:In our 1 year tenancy we experienced; 1 dodgy fuse box 2 major leaks3 hundred holes in the house4 billion spores of mould7 mice in the house20~ broken bits of furniture/fixingstons more stuff but ive spent enough time on this now

Uniquely capable - We sold our house with Carter Jonas, after failing with 3 other local agents. Isabelle was the only agent who ever gave us a genuine answer, when we asked for advice on any changes before putting it on the market. She was the only agent to do genuine research and analysis, before recommending a market price. She was enthusiastic, but realistic from the outset. And while they got lucky with finding our buyer, Jamie was the only agent who successfully guided the offer through the sale process. He was always responsive and proactive and very pleasant to deal with. As a landlord in Fulham for 36 years, I have used a variety of lettings agents, including Sullivan Thomas before they became Carter Jonas. I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism of the Carter Jonas team (Igor, Sam, Zoltan and Ana). Everything from their cheerful phone manner, to finding a good tenant and conducting references, was top notch. As I live abroad, it is important for me to trust that my property is in good hands. What a mess in administration and blame…

A MESS in administration, making FALSE statements and BLAME the tenant in bad attitude!!!, , , Barnes branch. Two staff called to reserve a time separately for future tenant to come to viewing (They asked me to remove their names (The Associate Partner and the Assistant), not sure they were afraid of anything. But it’s fine for me as the fact that here is true.).The viewing was fine to me. But one day before the viewing one staff called and expressed no viewing on that day and asked for another day. It was also fine to me. Then another senior staff called and BLAMED and SCOLDED at me about the cancellation in BAD attitude and ARGUED with me. She was the senior staff of this company. Why the staff do NOT have any compromised before making arrangements? Why the senior staff use such BAD attitude to customer and not clarify that their staff was the one to cancel ???? Then they made up another story and called the landlord that I was not co-operate. What a nonsense and FALSE statement!!!!It’s their staffs fault and keep accusing others without any feeling sorry. I will keep to complain to outsider independence organisation if your company keep continuing to make false statements and accuse me like this.NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!

As a first time buyer, I have found Carter Jonas to be extremely polite, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. I have had contact and viewings with quite a number of estate agents and I can honestly say that Cater Jonas Wandsworth has stood out to me amongst all others. Jamie Limbert was my primary contact for Sales, but I had contact with other members of the branch too both in person and via the telephone. Never pushy, always constructive, and keen to help. If you're a first time buyer, this Estate Agent is the perfect place to start. When I eventually found a house to place an offer on in a different area, the staff at the branch were very courteous and even continued to provide me with some helpful advice and reassurance. Exemplary from Jamie and the team - thank you, your branch help reinstate faith in an all too often marred profession. I would give 6 starts if I could.

We’re very happy with the service we received from Carter Jonas and especially Georgie. We contacted her about a specific property we liked. She was very friendly and patient, arranged several viewings of the property and answered to all the questions we had until we decided to rent it. We appreciated that she didn’t put any pressure on us, it was a stress free process. She then helped us during the offer phase and was very reassuring and transparent when there were some unforeseen delays. Signing the contract was very easy and convenient, it was done electronically so we didn’t need to visit the office or be away from work. Georgie was still available and helped us after the tenancy contract was signed until we got the keys. After that she has still been available but has put us in touch with her colleagues at Carter Jonas who have always been available to help. We highly recommend Carter Jonas.
