Having now been through the whole process and now lived in our new home for a four months, I am well placed to share mine and my wife's experience for anyone thinking about buying a Cyden home. For transparency this review has been copied over from the Horncastle specific site, but does not appear on the main page, hence why I want to share it again. Firstly, ignore the quite frankly ridiculous 1 star reviews re Horncastle from people who obviously have no patience or understanding towards Cheryl who works in the sales office and dealt with us from start to finish. To those people I would ask have you never had things come up at work that you have to deal with or spin a number of plates to get everything done. Sometimes in work things come up last minute you have to deal with. Those are very unfair review scores and do not reflect Cyden or their staff accurately. Cheryl was amazing from start to finish in our eyes. Very polite, friendly and helpful and was excellent at keeping us updated on the progress of our new home. We have bought a new home previously from a different developer - and Cyden were overall far superior at all aspects. The build quality of our home was excellent, and all of the staff we have had the pleasure of meeting have made you feel welcome into the Cyden family. The welcome hamper when we moved in was a really nice touch. Sam in the after care team has been excellent, very responsive to contact and quick to get any issues resolved. I say 'issues', we have only had a couple of quick things needed doing and Sam arranged for these to be done quickly and easily. The site team, in particular Craig and Josh are a couple of top blokes - always friendly and still speak with us now. We would highly recommend buying a Cyden home if you are looking for a well built, quality home and above all else a stress free process in doing so. Please don't be put off by people who couldn't be bothered to even start their journey and prematurely judged people doing a great job. We recently completed on our new home at the Quintessential development in Healing, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Sharon in the site office was incredibly informative and always prompt in responding to our email queries. She arranged multiple viewings of available properties and guided us through the entire process from start to finish, making everything feel effortless and stress-free. Despite encountering a few delays caused by our buyer’s solicitor, Cyden were very understanding and open to negotiating a realistic timeline, which we really appreciated. The home demonstration with Stuart and the site manager was extremely informative and gave us a great opportunity to see the house as a finished product. Completion day itself was smooth and well organised, once again thanks to Sharon’s excellent communication and coordination. A few days after completion, the site manager even popped by to check that we were settling in well, which was a lovely touch. We did experience an issue with the boiler around two weeks in, but this was handled professionally and efficiently by the customer care team. They arranged for two plumbers to attend within a few hours. A special shout-out to the plumbers who clearly went above and beyond to resolve the issue quickly and get everything back up and running. The customer care team also checked in throughout the day to ensure the problem was being dealt with, a great demonstration of top-quality customer service. It’s also worth mentioning that our home has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. We haven’t encountered any snags or issues at all, and the quality of workmanship throughout is clearly top class. We would 100% recommend Cyden Homes to anyone looking to purchase a property in the Lincolnshire area. You only have to read the other reviews to see that they truly are the best. Thank you, Dan

We brought a Cyden home in July 2025 in Louth. From the beginning to end of buying has been easy, Andrea was nothing but helpful throughout. The site managers Zack & Joe are fantastic, always happy to help, so professional and nothing is too much for them. As a new home owner, I’m not someone who knew how everything works etc, they both happily took their time, coming round to re show me everything again, never making me feel a burden. I have to especially mention Sam at customer care. We’ve had very minor issues which she has sorted asap, emails me back quickly with solutions and plans on what she will do. She is so helpful, even giving me little tips and hacks for around the house. I cannot thank her enough for all her help throughout and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend a Cyden home to everyone, they’re beautiful, the floor plans are well laid out and practical for our growing family. Thank you to everyone who’s helped us getting here. 😊

We have recently moved into our new home in Branston having downsized from a larger property. The buying process (other than solicitors) was very smooth. Jordan was on hand to help with any queries we had and if unsure found the answer to our numerous questions within a day or so. The build quality is far superior to our previous property with only a couple of minor snags already dealt with. The home demo was also very much appreciated. All of the staff that we have interacted with are a credit to the company including all of the builders who are always polite and friendly. Thank you to everyone

We have just moved into our new home over the weekend and to put it simply, we are absolutely thrilled with the house and service we have received. Sara and Marion were fantastic in making us feel at ease throughout the process, as it can be daunting and feel overwhelming buying a new home because of all the choices you get to make. Communication was also very good throughout the process. Stuart and Charlie were fab and the home demo was a really nice touch. Again communication was clear and great. I personally work in the property industry and I would have no trouble recommending a Cyden home to friends , family and clients.

Having recently acquired a Cyden property I wanted to take some time to summarise our experiences which will all being well be beneficial to prospective buyers and to Cyden to develop areas of the buying process. The Sales Team, It is important to remember that a team is made up of individuals so to suggest that the whole team at Cyden are bad would be unfair, so its important to break this down a little. The experience you get when buying your home will heavily depend on who you deal with, sadly we had the misfortune of dealing with a Marion at certain points in the buying process, throughout the process she was incredibly rude, made unprofessional comments and lacked any professionalism. She would often make us feel uncomfortable and witnessed this when she was dealing with other individuals, that’s if she managed to remember her appointments with them! Sara on the other hand was extremely helpful and courteous and finally thank you to Donna who is genuinely helpful and seems to want to help. On the plus side the team is managed very well by head office who are happy to help and are supportive during the process which they need to be to sort the incompetence of certain members of the sales team. Aside from the sales team the experience has been excellent, the site manager and other individuals who you deal with after the purchase have been exceptional, we have needed a few bits a piece’s sorting and nothing has been too much trouble for them which is greatly appreciated. The house without question is of high quality and is finished to a very high standard and we are delighted to have purchased the home with Cyden. The over all rating of the experience being 3* feels only half of the picture, Sales Team 1* Head Office Staff 5* Site Team 5*

We cannot fault Cyden Homes & would recommend them to any prospective buyer. We have downsized & relocated from Derbyshire & are so pleased with our 3 bed semi detached 'Quartz' home. The quality of the fixtures & fittings is excellent and even when we had to report a cracked tile in the hall it was dealt with immediately. As soon as we visited Cyden homes development, Langton Rise in Horncastle we knew we had found our perfect home. Their sales associate Greg made us feel welcome from the first time we met him. He kept us up to date with the construction time frame, escorted us on visits to the site and went above and beyond including getting the grey sink I kept nagging about. On completion we had an in-depth demonstration of the facilities of the house. Lovely Greg was there to officially hand over the keys and we did a snagging survey. Our house was beautifully clean and excellently presented. We thank Cyden homes for the beautiful welcome basket. Cyden’s after service care team are excellent. Any queries we have had have been addressed within a day and completed to our satisfaction very quickly. The construction team on site are always very polite and friendly. We have had the garden laid to lawn and the patio extended by contractors of Cyden homes and they have done an excellent job. We feel this is now our forever home and are happy to have become part of the Cyden homes family. I could go on but my husband said I’m not writing a book!

We purchased a Cyden built home in January 2025 on the Alexander Park development in Louth. We did have a little trepidation buying a new home due to the various horror stories reported in the press but after a recommendation from a local estate agent we decided to go ahead. I can honestly say that we haven't regretted our purchase one bit, from the initial meeting and site visit with Andrea we felt at ease through the whole process. There was no pressure sales, we had lots of choices over tiles, kitchen cabinets, worktops, carpets etc and also some upgraded added extras. We moved from outside of the area and visits were a 3hr drive. Andrea promptly responded to my emails with building updates. Once the house was finished and prior to completion I had an independent snagging survey and only a few minor issues were found, which were all addressed by Zach prior to completion. The house is great and in a fantastic location. Only one recent issue with a small leak but the response time was amazing. Emailed Sam at customer care on the Sunday and we had it all fixed by Monday afternoon. A special thanks to Andrea, Sam and Zach. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cyden Homes.

We bought in April & couldn’t recommend Clare and Becky anymore. They were absolutely brilliant. One thing I’ve got to give credit to is the brickys, all the external walls and brickwork is bang on. All within tolerance so they’ve smashed it. Moving in we had a few issues, some were sorted some we’re still waiting on aswell as many more. Once the week passes from completing they don’t want to know you. We’ve had scratches that they won’t repair but knew about on the week we got the keys. They’ve tried to hide many chips in the tiles and shower with silicone. The soil stack outside has glue residue all over it with it being black just looks very poor. The plasterwork through out you can tell was rushed, bedroom cieling has already been stripped back but they won’t sort the stairs out or the failed scrim tape all over. Can see corner beading on some of the walls. We have green marks we’re the snagger from cyden went round coming back through the paint which we was given a bucket of paint and told to deal with ourselves. We see there homes on another estate and they were high quality. Paint work through out is very poor, runs down the door, still got a damaged door in the en-suite I’ve been waiting since week one for them to sort. Our gate we paid extra for as they don’t fit them standard, the fence post is so off level everyone who see’s it laughs. I’d recommend the guys who brick and block the house but everyone else in from that stage I wouldn’t bother with. Back garden was left in a state, good luck to anyone turfing straight onto it. Site manager is decent and he did sort a lot of the issues out himself to start with. Stuart from customer care is so unprofessional, came round and had the worst attitude. They do build really good houses just lack the attention to detail they charge for. Jim from customer care is also absolutely spot on, his attention to detail is something they should all take on board. Wish he could of done the full house. Sam from customer care has also been brilliant, now have high hopes all our issues are sorted.

I absolutely love my new home- it feels spacious, with super bedroom sizes across all 4 of the bedrooms. A great family home! Cyden have been excellent- from initial enquiry to end result, I feel I have been looked after for all of the proceedings. The build quality is second to none , with so many extras included too, unlike other developers. The after care has been exceptional and no problem is too small- there is always someone to help you. We have been in our Cyden home for almost 4 months now and can honestly say the whole experience has been absolutely amazing! We had heard many horror stories of new builds but we have had absolutely no issues with our home. The build quality and the finish is brilliant, with a wide variety of choice throughout the home. As we are first time buyers, the new homes team went out their way to accommodate us and make the move stress free. Special mention to site manager Simon, who is always on hand should we need him, he even fitted our washing machine! Also a mention to the sales advisor Laura, who was able to answer any questions we had, even now 4 months down the line.

The whole process from the initial deposit to moving in was very smooth. Lacey in the sales office was very knowledgeable, helpful and was always quick to answer any queries we had. The site manager Keith has been excellent with dealing with any issues that we had and updated us regularly with what was happening. Since moving in we have had to contact Teresa in customer care for a few snags that needed addressing, we were amazed with how quickly the workmen were round to sort out the issues. All in all the house is great, and very well built compared to previous new houses we’ve had with other builders.

We bought a bungalow on the Becklands Estate, New Waltham, whilst we had a few snagging problems they were soon sorted out so no problem. My only grouse was the mares tail weeds they left for us to deal with, which we are still having to spend money on each year as they are a really pernicious weed and spoil the garden if you don't control them as best you can, also the turf was just dropped onto the hard clay without any top soil and subsequently struggled to do any good, I replaced the lot and did it properly at my own expense which I should not have had to do. Other than that I found them friendly and we like the property we bought from them.

I really love my little Jade house…. I’ve recently down sized due to family fleeing the nest and it’s just perfect !! This is the second Cyden home I’ve have purchased and I can’t honestly fault them. Becky and Claire in the sales office, always helpful and nothing ever too much trouble.
