My mum, Heather, has recently sold her house through Allen and Harris and she was really impressed with the friendly and efficient service they provided. Ria in particular was always there to help my mum through the process and always went that extra mile to help my mum out. She kept her updated with feedback from potential viewers and was always there for any advice my mum needed.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Booked a viewing last Saturday for next Saturday. Turned up to the house to no one there. Rang them to be told all viewings were cancelled on Thursday and everyone contacted. Sophie on the other hand didn't believe this was the case, so said she would check the call log and ring me back. Surprise, surprise, over two hours later she had to admit no one rang me and that i was not even registered!. I appreciate a staff member was called away today due to an emergency but it's a Saturday, I can't believe there isn't a back up plan. To add insult to injury this house was an auction so time sensitive, and the only day I could do was Thursday. She replied ,oh that's closed diary every Thursday. Shocking, not even an attempt to receive their error and offer me 30mins of their time on a 'busy' Thursday. I will not bother looking at a house with them again or give them the satisfaction of an estate agents fee.

Ben Smalley took over as branch manager a couple of months ago mid way through the transaction very happy with the way he sped up the process! Would recommend specifically the branch manager. Beth was also helpful. Not overly impressed with other colleagues unfortunately. Messages not passed on, promises not kept etc.

Absolutely loved working with this estate agency. Helpful and friendly from start to finish and it's so refreshing working with people who actually care about their jobs! Gemma helped me organise viewings for a time that suited me, checked in to see how I got on and was just overall very friendly and bubbly! Jack who showed me the property could answer every question I asked, he talked us through the best spots in town, what the local area was like and even gave me advice about the areas for other viewings I had booked in. He even walked us back to our car and helped with where to park. I spoke with a mortgage advisor Matt who was incredibly efficient and made me feel at ease with the scary prospect of being a first time buyer. Overall they are the full package. Disappointed with the service we got, promised an open day but didn't get it, had a viewing on Good Friday an offer received the following Wednesday after I had told them on the Tuesday I was not happy with the fact they brought some to view my house whose home was not even on the market let alone sold. Left the offer on the table but I had to go into the office to ask for the offer letter which I was given on plain paper and not even signed, then had 2 more viewings that were generally time wasters who hadn't even read the details on the house. At the end of July we terminated our contract as the house was not sold. Also apart from the internet and the shop window never saw my house advertised anywhere else.

After a great deal of fuss to have phots taken and get details to a solicitor when we first our house on the market we have found the follow up service abysmal, we have had 3 viewings in a year and after each one no feedback whatsoever and when we have phoned to ask questions we are that the person we need to speak to will call back but never does and it also appears that there is no answerphone. I would say this is not only unprofessional but rude.

If I'd have gone with other valuations from other agents I would have been receiving about 15-20% less than what I received.
