I had the misfortune of renting a property through Christopher Nevil, with Jazz as their employee. I must say, if now that I suffer from anxiety and depression it’s because of them. I forced to share my house with a man I never agreed to for 5 months. I never signed the contract yet the sent the guy in without my permission. To add to the horror they would only coordinate with him and will use management keys and come inside without my knowledge. The property was bad and what’s worse is that although you rent the whole property they will decide which room you take. I lost my deposit because they didn’t charge the people who left mid way through tenancy. I can’t even describe the horror I went through. Please never rent through them! Corrected statement :- Here’s a further and detailed reply to make potential clients aware of this agent’s wrong doings 1. No calls were made to me and my phone was not switched off. They have all my contact details and could have simply mailed me if required. 2. As far as complaints against bullying are made against me and the only letting agent that believes in doing everything than their job by interfering in other people’s personal lives I would like to state my complaints came in with proofs like medical reports stating I am suffering and police complaints against housemates. All of this because Christopher Nevil decides who takes which room, pays how much and stays in the house illegally in a joint tenancy agreement for the whole house when no such clause is mentioned in the the contract. 3. Your job is not to mediate or enter the house without permission and tell me which room I can stay in, simple job was to just stick to the contract and ethics of letting agents which you couldn’t do by not making me aware about who is going to come in the house. If I was well aware, please provide me with a proof who made me aware of a guy moving in, and if I have not signed the contract it very clearly means I am not okay with it. Period 4. Again coming back to your point of utility bills and telling you why can’t you just do your job? Your job is to check who is paying how much bills? If my flatmates are illegally keeping two other people on the property when it’s a three person sharing house they should be paying more. Clearly, you as a letting agent want to get the gossip, enjoy, and play sides. Please stick to your job! 5. Hello! If I mailed you thank you because I informed you about a burnt carpet in another room and you charged them for it, what’s wrong in this? Or were you expecting me to pay for that as well? Clearly yes. 6. I had no rent arrears, I paid in advance and extra. My flatmates did not and I suffered. To add to this, we were supposed to get some 40 pounds for the remaining deposit. I can’t see that credited into my account. So on your face you are cheaters, big time! Shame on you. 7. Lastly, no you are not concerned and you are ungrateful because I regret not asking for justice at that point of time from the ombudsman team. I pray nobody gets to go through the horror of dealing with you frauds. Absolute liars. I hope with time you realise the importance of being professional. It will really help you.
