We had such a positive experience with the Freeman Forman Uckfield branch when finding and moving into our new home. The whole process felt far less stressful thanks to their support, guidance, and professionalism from beginning to end. We’d especially like to highlight Jas, who was absolutely brilliant throughout. She was always approachable, quick to respond, and incredibly helpful with any questions or concerns we had. Her friendly manner and genuine willingness to help really stood out and made a big difference to our experience. Jas went the extra mile to make sure everything ran smoothly, keeping us informed at every step and making us feel confident and reassured during what can often be a daunting process. Her dedication and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We’re so grateful for all the help we received and are delighted with our new home. My partner called to cancel a viewing we had at the weekend and spoke to a lady who should have relayed it to the agent we were dealing with. Today, I get a call the day before this viewing was supposed to go ahead from the agent asking if we were all set to which I had to awkwardly explain that we’d already cancelled the viewing, something which he had NOT been notified of. The agent hung up on me in a huff and puff which I thought was quite rude. I rang back to see where the miscommunication had happened but couldn’t get an answer. It’s really not difficult to pass information like this along!

From our personal experience, the team at the Uckfield branch were excellent from start to finish. There's plenty of choice & competition in town but we decided to go with Freeman because we felt they were the most proactive, friendly and competitively priced. From ringing up the office on a Monday morning at 9am, Natasha was at our house by 12:30pm with all of the paperwork, photographer booked in and our house was live on the market by Wednesday. We immediately felt reassured that they knew and understood our needs & timelines and were going to represent us well. The whole team worked tirelessly to convert leads into viewings and we were encouraged at the amount of serious prospective buyers they were able to get through our door. They always made sure someone followed up and provided us with feedback and updates where possible, which is really important for a seller. I would have no hesitations in recommending this estate agents to anyone local to the Uckfield area. Special mentions to Natasha, Fiona, Toby, Ellie & Will. Thank you.

Their lettings team is useless and expensive

I can’t speak to the Freeman Forman sales team but my experience with their lettings team in Heathfield was terrible. I hired them to manage a property several hours away while my late husband was ill and I couldn’t manage or visit the property myself. They charged me an exorbitant amount for this service each month and I have nothing to show for it but a trashed house in need of thousands of pounds of repairs. They let to terrible tenants who ruined the house and garden, but even worse, Freeman Forman neglected to do an end of tenancy inventory so I couldn’t keep the tenant deposit to offset the cost of repairs. One of their letting agents even admitted to me that they dropped the ball. But of course Freeman Forman did nothing to make things right for me or take any financial responsibility for their mistakes and poor service. They are either incompetent or sleazy or both. Avoid Freeman Forman lettings, it’s an expensive rip off!
