I was a prospective tenant for one of…

I was a prospective tenant for one of the properties listed with them. They cancelled a viewing 2 hrs before the appointment saying the house was having 'some work done'. We rebooked the viewing for 2 days later and I called on the day of the viewing to confirm some details about the property. It was only then that I was informed that the property was not available. They had not bothered to contact me to cancel the viewing (was meant to happen in less than 2 hours). They did not apologise and were actually quite rude. I don't trust them at all and wouldn't be surprised if the information I was given was untrue. I would not recommend them!

The worst agency I had to deal with very disappointed and I would not recommend it to anyone! The letting agent Lauren Galway’s very rude and discriminating person!she asked me about my share code three times and than after that asked me for a BRP card!after giving her everything at the very end she said that we can’t have the very deposit option!Never ever I’ve been treated like that in this country

I do not recommend

This agency performed a sales and rental valuation at my property. After the total renovation of my house was estimated at £1,600 per month as renting price. Using any website that rents houses in my area the monthly price is around £2,000 in lower standards. The hours in which you can receive apointments are between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. When I asked about later hours, I received the answer that I had to take a day off from work. The agent was very young and his behavior was unpleasant.I must add that I had a total of four agents. I received quotes of £2000 pm or more from three of them.

Excellent Lettings Agent

I've used Connells now to.manage my properties for 12 years since 2012.on.a full management basis I've always found them competitive component and offer an excellent service particularly at Branch level.Recently we've been looked after by Sonny Munnerley who has provided us with excellent service on the occasion we've had to call upon his assistance. I would recommend Connells as a Lettings Agent

Communication is appalling

Don't expect anyone to pick up the phone if you have a query. Once you manage to find someone who accidently does they will refuse to give escalation Manager details. Don't expect them to adequately staff their offices. Even their Area Managers follow the same corporate line of hiding who their Manager is to avoid them finding out what a poor service they provide. DO NOT USE THEM.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. I enquired about one particular property for two weeks, trying to book a viewing. I was promised call backs which I never received, I finally managed to book an appointment but they didn't show up (the lettings manager had gone home sick but didn't think to advise their appointments). They had also double booked this appointment so another customer was waiting to view it at the same time as me. Then called back on the Monday to give them one more chance, was told the property was under offer but they would try and get me a viewing regardless, never heard back from them again. I could have been in that property by now, they wasted my time, mileage driving to the property and I have honestly never experienced worse customer service than this. 1 star is being extremely generous.

Intentional Missed Call

I received a call, when answered they hung up. So I called back to be answered by someone who was quite rude asking if I received a missed call. When asking if that was the intention for me to call back she said basically yes. This is very intrusive behaviour and therefore I would not be using such a sales orientated company!

Extremely rude

Extremely rude, asked if I had building regs for a partition wall. Which is completely incorrect. Valued a 3 bed flat in London at less than a studio rate. On top of that absolutely rude, unprofessional. Please if you bank/ lender has used them try to use someone else. They are awful and will treat you like you owe them something.

Connells Malvern- Awful Experience

Connells Malvern- Wouldn’t even give this company 1 star but it was the lowest I could go. Twice we have had appointments cancelled last minute.First appointment was cancelled via email with no information as to why- when I called I was advised that it was due to “a computer error, double booking” I was not happy but it happens so I just rebooked for a few days later. The second appointment was also cancelled last minute via email- no information as to why. When I called to understand why this one had also been cancelled I was told I myself had called up to cancel! I had not spoken to them since I had called to rebook the original cancelled appointment. Then after being put on hold for a period of time so that they could look into this, they came back to advise me that the computer system had yet another malfunction and had cancelled lots of appointments and that they’d just book me back in.I advised ‘Harry’ who I was talking to not to bother to rebook my appointment as I did not want to deal with them due to the less than satisfactory experience I’ve had so far so he just hung up on me.Rude. Unhelpful. Unsolicited marketing. Honestly never dealt with a company like this. Very unprofessional.

*DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY…

*DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES*Connells solicitors, Conveyancing Direct, should never be used, they have cost us thousands of pounds due to their severe lack of urgency and complete ineptitude. Please do yourself a favour and just google them and see hundreds of terrible reviews, we wish we had, rather than just taking the recommendation of the mortgage advisor.- This company are absolute amateurs, often taking weeks to reply to basic requests via email, almost never answering the phone, and never having the answers you need, often forgetting what was previously stated in calls/emails and never giving timescales for when he would complete critically time sensitive tasks. - On several occasions our conveyancer lied to us about not receiving documents from the sellers solicitor and when called out on the fact he had received said documents would give us an excuse as to why he had missed it, never apologising or taking responsibility. - We went to Connells to buy our first house which had no chain. This seems to be a very common theme with Conveyancing Direct to never prioritise cases which should be simple with no chain - our conveyancer had zero urgency and at every step let us down, we had to put in for a mortgage extension and even then he didn’t inform us of the outcome until 4:30pm on the day it expired. - The lack of urgency meant that extension also expired and could not be extended again, meaning we had no choice but to apply for mortgage with far worse interest rates, which will cost us thousands extra over our mortgage term.- Our conveyancer was completely incompetent, having to ask his manager on every decision, the only half decent service we received was when he was on annual leave!

Only one star as impossible to award none!

One star as unable to give none.Having read the reviews about the Connells service as supposedly reliable estate agents I would like to add our experiences to the site.We put our house up for sale in August 2020 with Connells Tunbridge Wells. Great news 5 viewings booked in for week one but unable to accompany the viewings although they had agreed to do so. All viewings cancelled for several flimsy reasons. We looked at the advert and were appalled at the poor English and dreadful photos. We rewrote the ad eat for them and supplied new photos. Then we heard nothing for a couple of weeks but another viewer was produced. She made an offer which we were pressed to accept. We withdrew from the deal as the prospective buyer had no solicitor and wanted a friend who was interested in buildings to look at it. We complained to Connells head office and were contacted by the manager for south east England who agreed to terminate our contract. We sold the house for an excellent price through a local agent for a much higher price. We found a new build house in Crowborough but the selling agents were Connells, but what could go wrong the developer was a highly rated builder. Connells persuaded us to purchase the searches from them as they had bought all the searches for the three phases of the development. These searches were out of date and did not show that our house would be built 20 metres from a major roundabout giving access not only to through traffic but to another development for150 house to be built across the road. These of course did not show up in the out of date searches. Connells are now trying to sell the houses on the last phase of our development. They are in competition with the other site across the road. Connells have had very little footfall whereas the site across the road is doing a roaring trade. Connells are trying to blame us as we have restricted parking notices saying there is no parking for contractors vehicles on our private road. They think this is the reason why they have only made one sale in 4 months. They refuse to advise their client that he needs to match the incentives being offered by the competition across the road.Buyer be ware you deal with this agent at your peril.

I used Jennifer Tolhurst at Connells to get a buy to let and residential mortgage during the stamp duty holiday and the rates she got me were better than the banks offered!! Despite being extremely busy she worked efficiently and got me across the finish line. Thanks Jenny for being a superstarPositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Cancellation scam and a bunch of money…

Cancellation scam and a bunch of money hungry liars. My family have recently moved. We was going to go with Connell. They told us in person there will be no cancellation fees. We was only with them for 4 days. They are a bunch of liars. We wanted to cancel. It's been a few months now and they have only just sent an email saying we owe them. Trying to bully us into paying a cancellation fee that they said we wouldn't have to paid. You bunch of absolute liars

DO NOT PUT YOUR PROPERTY ON WITH…

DO NOT PUT YOUR PROPERTY ON WITH CONNELLS OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATED BRANCHES. They make next to no effort to sell your home and you remain tied into a contract with them. Even if you take your property off with them after 20 week period (yeah! 20 weeks + another month's notice. Most local agencies take your house off within 2 weeks if you ask them) and on with someone else, they will try to come after you for their fee if you sell to a person who's registered with them or viewed through them WITHIN THE PAST 2 YEARS. They are parasites. Hiding everything in the small print, they are making money out of people this way during a recession and a cost of living crisis! Research if your agent is with the Connells Group before signing anything with these crooks.

Ex Branch Manager

Well. I can only speak as an Ex Branch Manager.Last time my Wife posted a review in a purchase of her friends place, via my account, I had a threatening letter delivered to me by the legal team.I called the number on the letter, was told to withdraw my Wife's post and they would drop matters.Honestly? As a Branch Manager, I was appalled at offers not being presented as I was supposed to "secure the mortgage business, conveyancing and a survey".All a money grab.If they write to me again asking me to remove my comments- I'll happily see then in Court. I have nothing to hide.Don't list your house with these guys.Trust meJust sold my house and not through a bully tactic.A really nice Agent.Wonder why I didn't use Connells?Odd right?

Conells west bromwich

Conells west bromwich. Terrible experience. Made an offer on a property and it was accepted by the homeowner. Property was never taken off the market and estate agent called Dean sneakily kept marketing the property and the homeowner then accepted a higher offer and then they wonder why everyone thinks estate agents are snakes.

Horrendous experience with these agents. They wanted to sell my house for what I considered to be a ridiculous price. I insisted on increasing the price and the first viewer wanted it. I was told that the buyer was a cash buyer, but discovered he didn't have the cash until his divorce went through. Their mortgage advisor was useless and made serious errors which caused me immense distress. Through their incompetence I was left sitting outside my new house unable to move in until after the weekend, with a removal van behind me. I made a number of complaints which Connells arrogantly denied. They have got to be the worst estate agents I've ever dealt with. I would seriously advise anyone selling to do it themselves online!

Vultures bordering on harassment

Viewed one house with them over 6 months ago and they keep calling from two different branches despite being asked to stop. The other branch kept harassing to do a home valuation even when I said we weren't interested and at the time I didn't want to be rude but they kept calling when I was at work so booked in a valuation to get them to leave me alone then cancelled it online thinking they'd get the message. But they kept calling so I stopped picking up. 6 months later they're still calling and it's really getting annoying so I answer and ask them to take me off their list thinking that's the end of it. But guess what, they keep calling. If I get one more call I'm going to complain to ofgem or something because this is getting ridiculous
