We tried two agents over a three-year period then we moved to Batcheller Monkhouse and sold. For various reasons it was a complicated and protracted sale because of certain financial issues none of which were related to BM. They were helpful, understanding, supportive and showed great patience. That applies to everyone at every level. We can only give 5 stars but if I was Len Goodman I'd make it a seven. Even Craig Revel Horwood would give a ten! Don't bother with the others. Go to BM!!

TENANTS & LANDLORDS AVOID THIS AGENCY AT ALL COSTS.

Batcheller Monkhouse are not to be trusted. They knowingly rented a house with mould growing in every room, toxic carcinogenic black mould on most window sills, airborne mould spores, moisture, damp + humidity issues, which had flowing water into the walls under the house that had never been professionally cleaned for 20+ years to an asthmatic who they knew was an asthmatic. The tenant requested a house without mould issues due to health concerns and alerted the agent prior to viewings - this was ignored..The agent in question is Clare Sheffield. After reporting respiratory issues after the first night nothing was done to rectify this after one month. The tenant suffered considerably due to this hideous agencies priority of money over their tenants health. Again, Clare Sheffield was managing the rental. Now Batcheller are aiming to profit from my misfortune. TENANTS & LANDLORDS AVOID THIS AGENCY AT ALL COSTS.

Been house hunting for two years signed on with many agents in local offices all across southern England. Some hardly ever sent us likely properties whereas Batcheller Monkhouse have proved by far the best at regular, relevant communication (some agents sent us the strangest houses labelled “your property match”).

TENANTS & LANDLORDS AVOID THIS AGENCY AT ALL COSTS.

The list of complaints about this company is so long that it would not be appropriate to give them all here. I have written 3-4 pages to the Property Redress Scheme along with multiple photographs as evidence and have just received notification that the complaint was ‘declined’. I am considering taking this to the Small Claims Court.Interestingly the agent in Battle that was in charge of lettings who I dealt with was Clare Sheffield who solicited me to change from my existing agent in charge of lettings and interestingly was mentioned in the last complaint with the same heading. She appears to have now left within weeks of my complaint but personally I would not go near this company who in my view are only interested in getting their maintenance fee and not fulfilling their contractual obligations.In summary there is evidence that they are freely economical with the truth to cover their failings to exercise due care for their contracted customers. The quarterly inspections are not carried out with care and the Exit Report company was deficient if not negligent leaving out multiple items when cross checked with the first report before possession.I wish I had read the Trust Pilot reviews before switching to them.

Disgraceful business. No sense of safeguarding what so ever.

Instead of kindly writing me acknowledging the red flags I raised regarding my grandads farm sale. (Ongoing family issues in which my vulnerable grandad is being bullied). Instead of looking into the situation, or writing me, they removed my comments and blocked me. Instead of worrying about the money you can make off a 2 millions farm sale maybe your staff should be trained more in safeguarding of vulnerable people. Disgusting.
