I recently completed the sale of my elderly mother’s remote cottage with the outstanding support of Ian, Angela, Emily, and the entire team at Stags Truro. From start to finish, I felt completely confident that I had chosen the right people for the job. The team never missed a beat, they guided me step by step, always making sure I was on track and making the right decisions. Their marketing plan was excellent, attracting strong interest and multiple viewings, and they helped me select the right buyer, keeping them engaged all the way through to completion. We were very pleased with the final selling price. Because I live overseas, communication could have been a challenge, but the team at Stags handled it brilliantly. Their updates were clear, timely, and reassuring, so distance was never an issue. One tip I’d share with others: choose a solicitor your agent has a strong working relationship with. This was absolutely key to the smooth handling of our sale. We originally chose Stags based on a neighbor’s recommendation, and I’m so glad we did. After my own excellent experience, I can wholeheartedly recommend Stags Truro to anyone buying or selling property.

Stags have been amazing; after the initial viewing, Kate worked through the rental process swiftly meaning I could move at short notice. A minor plumbing issue was dealt with incredibly quickly despite it being the Christmas period. The paperwork was reassuringly thorough and they are always approachable. The standard of the property is high and the I am pleased that I chose to rent through them.

Will use dodgy workman who tile one wet plasterboard, reuse all old tiles and charge you for a weeks work when in actual fact spent 2 hours in three months at the property. Use at your own peril. They disgust me!

We sold a holiday barn a few years ago and had excellent service from Stags, so when we decided to sell our main residence in St Ives they were the obvious choice. We have nothing but praise for the Truro branch and in particular Ben Stephens, whose service was exemplary. The sale came up against many set backs including the Covid situation, but at all times we were shepherded through a minefield to end up with a sale. What more could anyone ask for? If you are thinking of putting you property on the market, especially if its in Cornwall, we would highly recommend Stags.

This agency has been appalling in almost every respect to deal with. The first offer I made on a property took over a week and a rude email from the valuer afterwards to be rejected as she seemed to be personally affronted that my offer was below asking price. I pulled out as I then felt it was too high. The same day, the property price was dropped to my original offer price. I then resubmitted the offer months later after a conversation with one of the staff who said that the valuer was scheduled to talk with the vendors as the high price had strangled any interest as none of the properties marketed dual agency had sold. I then found myself chasing 8 days later to encounter the rude valuer again and be told they knew 4 days ago that it was rejected but I wasn't told. There is no attempt to keep conversations going and in fact when I spoke with rude valuer she told me my latest offer was not a formal offer so it wasn't resubmitted before her colleague informed me of the outcome. I'm amazed she knew this as I deliberately gave her a wide berth. In fact she didn't know. As a purchaser, I would never buy a property through them. As a vendor, be aware that their crippling negotiation skills are appalling, some of the staff let their own inflated opinions of themselves scupper deals and this might explain why their properties hang around so long on the market. The worst agent I have dealt with in Truro.

We recently agreed a price on a property and were very excited about having our new home But struggled getting Georgia to return calls seemed like she kept putting off things, we gave proof of funds our estate agents also assured her our sale was strong, not good enough for Georgia she want information that went against data protection from the third party! in the mean time stags showed people round and sold it to someone else a week later We received an email saying sorry your offer as been declined To be clear the vender asked us to pay that amount and we agreed to it so effectively we excepted his offer and he agreed to it Georgia is untrustworthy and would not recommend stags as an estate agents due to her Also Emma at our estate agents who is so kind spoke to me today she was concerned with stags dealing and phone georgia up and asked how it went with our property and Georgia said we had pulled out Sad day when you have to lie to cover another lie Think she should be sacked stags !!

My partner and I were looking for our first place together, saw a good place and went to view it and found out we didn’t get it then a week or two later Laura rang us up to say that they actually want to offer the flat to us!
