It was a pleasure working with Savills to sell our house from a distance during an uncertain and challenging market in 2024. Our main point of contact was Felicity Walker, and we were impressed by her experience and local knowledge as well as her insights into the general housing market and the current economic climate. Highly professional, yet friendly and approachable, she took time to understand her clients’ personal circumstances, needs and preferences, and had a realistic and fair approach to buying and selling. Her perseverance and pragmatism in the face of occasional setbacks was most reassuring. The team as a whole were extremely helpful in arranging access for general maintenance, surveys, safety checks, etc. Communication was excellent and there was always timely feedback regarding viewings and buyer interest.

Perseverance pays off!

We were fortunate that it fell to Troy Budd to steer the sale of our property in Stoke Bishop, Bristol. The housing market was becoming increasingly sluggish, with the number of viewings declining. We also lost about 5/6 weeks when a 'prospective buyer" wasted our time, and Troy's, and then just walked away! Troy persisted and a previous "viewer" renewed his interest and, when we least expected, Troy's efforts were rewarded when, unexpectedly, exchange of contracts and completion were accomplished in quick time and the sale was concluded. Much due to Troy's perseverance and persuasive manner. Our sale was due, in no small part, to Troy's efforts in a difficult market.

Simply the best

Savills has been excellent to work with. During my rather extensive apartment search, they quickly and consistently showed themselves to be the most thorough, sophisticated, comprehensive and professional. For that reason, I decided to forgo using any other services and focus exclusively on their properties.Since becoming a tenant, the vast majority of my experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. For that reason, if/when I'm in the market for a new flat, I will certainly only consider properties managed by Savills.Last, and miles upon miles from least, I cannot possibly say enough about my superstar Property Manager, Melissa Grant. This company are the managing agents…

This company are the managing agents for a shop I rented. Shocking customer service from Billie Stephenson. She confirmed the amount of our deposit held by Savills then once the keys were returned suddenly she tells us she made a mistake. Been trying to get this resolved for weeks. Her phone is hardly ever answered, messages are rarely responded to. She promised to call me back over a week ago and nothing.

Over value and lie

Great with probate - we had Savills attend to carry out the probate valuation with a family member and his girlfriend. Even though as executors we had carried out 3 valuations with 3 local agents which all came back with similar valuations. Unfortunately one family member wasn’t happy with the true value of the property so we agreed to 3 more valuations from his (girlfriends) chosen agents and Savills ended up being one of them. The rep was excellent he listened to the girlfriends description of the property even though both the grandson and girlfriend had only been over a few times over the years his grandparents had been alive (unfortunately they fell out over money). He did ignored the executors and never shared the valuation with them as the law states he should have done. He did as asked and valued the property at £100k more than every other agent did. So if you want a unrealistic valuation which will only be reduced once the mortgage companies value the property or better still you then have to pay for a RIC’s because the agent has given a false valuation you can count on Savills to do this for you.

Review for Savills : Alketa Nazmiu This was the first time I found myself in a situation in need to rent. Without seeing the property I was comfortable enough to trust Savills name and the genuine, down to earth approach taken by Alketa to put down an offer soon after enquiring about the property I liked and current live in. Alketa was extremely helpful in enabling a smooth transition between the different stages of the process and consistently showing a level of professionalism. I was particularly impressed with her knowledge base which stretched beyond the surface. Namely, Alketa was helpful in aiding me to understand aspects of the market on subjects such as different rent schemes, home purchase plans, council tax, Tenancy agreements, Local development and house price projection, all which are probably beyond her remit. Where she didn’t know the answer, she passionately went out her way to very quickly do a google search and inform herself of the topic and then convey this to me. I think this says something about Savills and the culture amongst employees where despite the intense market conditions and a huge surge in demand, employees remain humble and focused on client service. My experience with Alketa reinforces this, and impressed me with her willingness to expand her knowledge and position herself as someone flexible, understanding and equipped with a transferable skill set.
