They claim to be premium the service levels are rock bottom

I was personally an estate agent for 9 years and while admittedly it was a long time ago - there are basic principles that I feel an agent selling your property should do. The key one is communication and when I was manager I would speak to all buyers and sellers in my pipeline once a week while the sale was ongoing (or make the negotiators/sales be in contact). This is really the area in where this agent falls down. Moving house can be a truly tough and stressful time and the one thing that you would like when taking on an agent and committing a large sum of money to that they provide a service. Now to be fair, Micheal Graham sold my house quickly but to be frank it was a really nice family home in a very sought after area and this was never going to be a "hard sell". In October I came to realise that the last communication I had from the branch manager was the 15th July and it was a simple sentence of - Hi mate - I'll keep you updated. Since then I have then had to speak to the conveyancers myself most of the way through this process (and to give some context on why I feel compelled to write this review) the conveyancers are being paid £10,000 less than the agent! As far as I can see they have done most of the work within this sales process. I decided to write to the managing director and make him aware of the service levels I am receiving - note I am not asking for money off or a refund of money (as I know how hard it is to get this off an agent) but merely a cry to help me and also improve the work levels of the staff in the branch. Three days later I still haven't had a reply from him however now the manager asked me to call him for an update! I had to give a request to either email me back or ring me the next day as I didn't have time to take a call at the time he had contacted me. The reply was again a one liner to say that a completion date in November is being discussed. And that I should feel free to call if I want a chat with him or the salesman of my property. The response perceived by me once again was minimal and reactive rather than proactive.I am just incredibly sad that this agent has been used and therefore I feel rather than waste anymore time trying to redeem and get a service - I best put the effort into helping others avoid my misfortune! Ask the agent you intend to take on what is their process for not just selling the property but also how they will look after the sale as it goes through also. I am sure that there are plenty of success stories for this agent but in my humble opinion their standards are far below the fee that they charge and for me if I had had maybe 3 - 5 calls over the the last 3 months then I wouldn't probably have any issue and this review wouldn't be online. So if you are happy to have an agent take on your property, charge a lot of money and then sit back and wait for the sale to go through with the hard work being done by the conveyancers/solictors, without them doing any work (that I can see) or follow up with you as to where things are and what is outstanding etc then these guys are for you! Personally I have learned a lesson hence why I will only use agents like Elevation and Thomas Connolly from now on.

Fortunately we had extremely professional, understanding and efficient service throughout from all members of Michael Graham’s staff. We were always able to communicate with them, we were given timely updates and they worked tirelessly to overcome the many obstacles that were thrown their way. You know the ones: "The market is buoyant... your house is probably worth more than you think... if you've ever considered selling..." Mildly irritating, but fair enough - it's marketing.

I got valuations from four estate agents and immediately I was impressed at how professional Michael Graham in Princes Risborough was. Nothing was too much trouble. Negotiation was straightforward and the team was cohesive and all its members were aware of all the issues. They are a great team. Paul Copping started the ball rolling and Steve Tillyer managed a complex sale arrangement very well indeed. Nicola was a brilliant negotiator and pulled out every stop to get things moving. We recently moved from London, looking to relocate into the country. After undertaking research online we found a number of beautiful looking properties in the Michael Graham portfolio. Booking viewings on the online portal was a doddle and was always followed up with a phone call to confirm arrangements. In total we saw 4 properties and in each property was presented expertly by clearly knowledgeable and passionate agents, all adhering to the Covid safety protocols. We had our heart set on a beautiful cottage and from accepted offer to exchange and completion we can't speak highly enough of Ben Charsley, who was knowledgeable about the local area during the 2 house viewings (we need to be able to commute to London and didn't know the local area at all) The home sold itself to us in the end and we were delighted to now be moved in. The exchange and completion was unfortunately delayed due to issues with the buyer's solicitor on our London flat but every step of the way Ben was a calming influence using excellent communication skills either via telephone or email. Ben was a pleasure to work with and is a credit to Michael Graham, a company we definitely would recommend and look to use in the future - unlikely we are ever going to move again however. We put our house on the market with Michael Graham (MG) nearly a year ago now. We had the pleasure of meeting the Branch Director Richard who came to value the house and agree the terms. He was very friendly. Our subsequent viewings were managed by both Ander and Ben who kept both Ian and informed along the way. Again both professional and friendly and ensured we got what we wanted for our property. There were a couple of occasions where when I called the office to follow up viewings for feedback that I didn’t get a call back or maybe the message had not been passed on, but this was not often. Just something to consider. We did accept several offers in the time our house was on the market for, however because we had not found anywhere we had a few pull out and MG were quick to re-list our property. We finally were in a position where we had sold and found somewhere and I can honestly say that Ben was super informative. He kept me posted on progress right through from January to May and even the people who bought from us commented on his service to me as I don’t think they had such a great experience with the agent they used.
