GoogleVery unreliable estate agents with extremely poor communication. For two weeks I was messed around with no updates, no call-backs, and no clear answers despite repeated calls.
Because of their delays, I missed my move-out deadline when my tenancy expired and was forced to pay an extra month where I’m currently staying. They caused unnecessary stress and financial loss.
Now I’m also being told to wait up to 10 days for my deposit to be returned. Overall, a very poor experience. I would not recommend them.

GoogleUpdate: So the director phoned me today to discuss the complaint. He's taking what I've said on board and I'm really happy with how he dealt with it! Grateful for a positive end to a bad experience!
So when I first asked about referencing, they were not able to give me a yes/no answer but yet other estate agents could so that wasn't helpful. Neither was the agent trying to plan the viewing around them and not me, despite me living 100 miles away. On the day itself I assumed that I would meet the agent outside the property (that has been my experience with others) for me then to wait 20mins to then call the office for them to finally tell me that I should ring the doorbell and that one of the tenants would show me around, something I was not aware of. The house was dirty and not as advertised. An en-suite was in fact shared with another room... something that isn't stated on the ad. Would definitely recommend viewing a property rather than just using the pictures, the property was dirty and there was no evidence of the 'beautifully finished newly decorated house' or rather there was evidence but it was badly done. Will never go through these people again.

GoogleIan at martin brookes was great. I recently purchased a 3 bedroom property in enfield via martin brookes, and he was on the ball 100% of the way. During the transaction the covid pandemic fell upon us but Ian made sure to keep in regular contact and push the sale through.
If you are looking to buy any houses from martin brookes please ask for Ian Walters to ensure the process is quick and efficient. I am already pestering him to find another house for us to purchase.

Ian was our agent, he is amazing. He is very honest and straight to the point.
During our buy there were a lot of delays due to the conveyancing teams. Ian went above and beyond to sort out issues that the solicitors should have dealt with.
He also took time to talk through and explain anything I didn't quite understand.
This was our first time buying a house and I am grateful that we went through that process with Ian.

He is very easy to talk to and when needed i can also contact him for information on properties or other things and he will always get back to my missed calls.
