I was convinced that Pegg estates were the right agency for my property sale after meeting Ben, who delivered a charming and convincing sales pitch. The valuation was right, the fees very attractive, and perhaps even more importantly conveyed professionalism and honesty. Natalie managed the ongoing communication and was very responsive, keeping me well informed throughout. At all times I felt I could trust whosoever I spoke to at Pegg estates to be honest, friendly and professional.

GoogleI’ve been viewing a lot of different apartments recently, but the viewing with Caitlyn Davies really stood out. She turned up on time and had great communication before and afterwards. GoogleThe Torquay office seems to actively encourage gazumping, claiming/shouting at me that it is legal, so therefore, it seems that it is OK. The lack of integrity and ethics seem to not apply to this outfit. Don't think that because you have an agreed offer accepted in writing, they wont continue to allow bids, changing the selling to what seems to be a modern day type auction. They phone you to congratulate you on the offer being accepted, they put it in writing stating your offer has been accepted then they seem to actively encourage further bids, by not removing the property from sale, then once another bid is confirmed , you are encouraged to bid higher. It is only later the following day, once they have secured the new bid/s that you will receive an email stating your offer has been declined! Do not waste your money on solicitors/surveyor fees, as these costs mount up, as you cannot trust that this offer will continue to be acceptable, that is of course the fact that the owners might choose to not sell, which of course is their right, but choose an agent who does not actively behave in this way, and from my recent conversations, all of the agents I have spoken to do not approve of this type of selling unless that is the transparent type of sale, such as an auction. I certainly will not purchase nor sell my property with this agent, and would prefer to be trusting an agent who does have high levels of integrity and ethics. Perhaps reflecting on the emotional impact of buying and selling needs to become a training priority? it seems that this business and/or the people in it have forgotten that purchasers are what makes their business viable. A written confirmation means absolutely nothing, so please, go to an agent that values your custom and actively removes a property from sale once your offer has been accepted.

GoogleI highly recommend Pegg estates, Ben has a wealth of knowledge of the housing market with a modern and sharp as a razor approach to selling houses. Melissa has gone above an beyond in the sale of my house, they have done exactly what they said when they said they would do it and more, and made the process stress free, this firm goes the extra mile and by far a cut above the other outdated agents in torbay, if your selling your house this is the only firm you need! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleMy experience was mixed. On one hand, being a first time buyer I felt supported at the start, with fluent communication. They recommended me an online conveyancing company "Premier property Lawyers", that happened to be extremely bad, Pegg estates received commission for this and unfortunately it wasn't an honest recommendation. As things took longer than expected, Ben's emails became from supportive to rude at times. Finally we completed nearly 5 months later (no chain). I asked them to have the keys ready the day after, everything planned with at least a week in advance. Not all the copies were ready at the agreed time so I had to come back a few hours later. Not a big deal, but not what I expected. A few days later we received a gift box in the post with various merchandising products and a card, which was nice. Finally I think I would recommend this estate agent, but my experience wasn't great.

GoogleWould highly recommend Pegg Estates. Ben has kept us informed throughout the process of selling our property. He sold it within 15 minutes of it being on the market, after already having a buyer in mind. Since then, he chased the purchase of our next property with our purchasing estate agents. He gave us lots of helpful advice. He is also very friendly and approachable and so glad we picked him and his team to sell our property. Can't thank him enough for making a stressful process so much easier.
