My family have just had a heart breaking decision to send mum to a care home as she has Alzheimer’s .Gerald has been so kind and supportive making sure my mum was not affected while selling her apartment liaising with us to have viewings whilst we looked after mum elsewhere. He found us a buyer in challenging times and supported us through the whole journey especially when communication between the solicitors just was not happening! It was essential that we completed before the next instalment was due to care for mum in her new home as a place became available for her before we had completed. If you are not sure whether to use Pincombe's do so. This is how estate agents should be but sadly rarely are. I have bought and sold houses over the last 25 years and when looking for a high end estate agent to deal with selling my late Aunts house in Mead Road, Gerald and Kim have been so refreshing to deal with especially over the distance. They are efficient, professional, genuine, honest and will go the extra mile (offered to print our paperwork when visiting Torquay and always had time for me). Gerald and Kim made the process as stress free as possible. The only down side is that they do not cover the area where I live over three hours away or I would personal use them each time! What can I say. Both Gerald and Kim have been invaluable in enabling us to find a buyer for our Mum's bungalow, after she passed away. But Gerald was fantastic always willing and able to solve a problem even though it was not always his to solve. He always went the extra mile to ensure things progressed successfully. I’m placing this review for my parents, who recently sold their house with Pincombe’s. Mum and Dad were highly complimentary about the service they have received from Gerald and Kim, from the moment they first started dealing with them. Since, they haven’t moved house for 20 years, I’ve been helping in the background and I too have been impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism and advice, as well as their willingness to deal with me and keep me in the loop. My experience is that smaller businesses, like this, give a much more personal and caring quality of service than big chains. And that is certainly true of Pincombe’s. They clearly listened and understood my parents’ needs, and this was reflected in the advice given in response to what ended up being multiple offers and how each of them might have played out from a practical perspective. Other Google reviews have stressed how they go the extra mile for clients, and I would agree, they even printed off PDFs of legal documents for my parents to sign, for speed, given that they didn’t have a printer. Well what can say. I would recommend Gerald from Pincombe’s Estate Agents to anyone and everyone within or looking at relocating to the area of Torquay. We have never experienced such a professional, caring service from any other estate agents. We have visited Torquay area today and viewed a property with Gerald from Pincombe’s. Unfortunately the property was not for us, however as we are looking at moving into the area. Gerald gave us some fantastic advice and proceeded to spend the next 3 hours giving us a grand tour (from separate cars and safe distancing etc due to Covid19) showing us around the area. We had the obligatory 3 valuations when we initially decided to market our house. We chose Gerald because of his obvious knowledge, passion and professionalism for his work. Not once did he try to 'spin us a line', give us an unrealistic valuation or make false promises. Because of Brexit we had a slow start but Gerald somehow managed to get us good viewings and we accepted an excellent offer. However, with global uncertainly because of Covid19 we lost an overseas buyer. Within days of lockdown being lifted he had secured another buyer. The journey from then on could have been a nightmare, with the bottom of the chain struggling to come up with funds. However, throughout Gerald was 'on the ball' chasing, cajoling, always with the utmost integrity We always felt he actually cared about us, and also our buyers. Not once did he pressurise us, he simply guided, his words always being 'I just want you to be happy with your decisions'. Well, Gerald, we certainly are.
