Not a single opportunity was missed to make the process smoother, more enjoyable, or more exciting. We had a remarkably quick offer to completion timeline (under two months!!) and a very large part of that was due to Lisa, Kirsty and Company, as well as a lovely vendor. To finish it off, the little bottle of wine on move in day made the day feel incredibly special.
While we have absolutely no intention to move for a while, we know that when we do, it'll be with Waghorn for sure.

GoogleI will never have enough words of praise for the WHOLE team. 3 years ago I brought my first home from Waghorn and Company and I was looked after so wonderfully. Fast forward over 2 years and I was interested in renting my property, but had no idea where to begin. When I approached them, I was met with a genuine excitement, they couldn't wait to hear/see not only about my flat but about me. They all remembered me, looked out for me and made sure I was completely at ease during the letting process. Even though it was only a short contract as circumstances changed, every step I was looked after, communicated with and felt valued. I will only ever come to Waghorn. GoogleI bought a house from John and the team, and completed just before Christmas 2024. They made the stressful moving experience much more pleasant. There was never any hassle about going to see the property again, emails were answered quickly and I felt that the whole process was handled perfectly.
I felt like a valued customer, not just commission fodder.
Every week or so, I would receive an update email, which is great to have because at times the solicitors go quiet and you wonder what’s going on. Knowing that I was going to get an update made it much easier to relax. I didn’t need to contact my solicitor very often purely because Waghorn And Co were keeping me in the loop.
I also know that they were in constant contact with my seller too, so I am confident in saying that they thoroughly deserve five stars.
If ever I come to sell this house, I know where to go.

GoogleReally quite unprofessional..
Unfortunately my ex partner had to pull out of a purchase due to our personal circumstances changing over the weekend.
He relayed this to his solicitor in order to tell the sellers solicitors.
I then got a phone call from one of Waghorns team (I won't name names) to demand an explanation, asking why I haven't said anything sooner! Unfortunately our circumstances only changed over the weekend so how could I of told them any sooner?? Also I wasn't even purchasing the property my ex partner was!
Leaving me feeling extremely stressed & anxious considering I am 8 months pregnant this is not acceptable.
I am appalled at their behaviour. I understand that they work for the seller but there was no consideration. Her tone on the phone was extremely belittling & condescending.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review online. I am disappointed that after you abruptly terminated the call with a member of our team, you have felt the need to write an online review as opposed to communicating with us. I was in the office when the call took place. After receiving a email from the solicitor who said you had withdrawn with no explanation leaving our elderly and vulnerable client with the prospect of losing her new home. My colleague (Who is also pregnant) called you as you had insisted throughout, that your now ex partner, was unable to answer the phone during the day and all communication must come through you. She was polite and professional and asked if there was anything we could do to help, if there was a reason for example the survey or anything adverse that made you make your decision or if there was any reason that you felt you could no longer speak to our team here as we had had such a good working relationship to date. As you can appreciate our elderly client had spent hundreds of pounds on searches, survey and solicitors fees and when we broke the news she would be asking why. We also have a legal and moral obligation to be fair and honest with buyers before they spent money buying a property, if there was an issue that came up and was the catalyst for you to withdraw, we would inform them before they spent money on the purchase. As a family run independent, we rely on our reviews as a window to our business, and do feel it a little unfair that you gave us 1 star taking into consideration the above and the experience you had received throughout however, we wish you all the best for the future.

The photos and property listings looked great and the valuation was honest. Lisa and Abbey handled all of the viewings and we had many! They worked very hard to find the right buyer for us and conducted the viewings promptly and with minimal disturbance for us.
Once the chain was complete the team were all pro-active in chasing and working with the chain and were actively involved in the sales progression side right up to completion day.
Overall, great people to deal with - friendly, patient and professional.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Waghorn & Company again and heartily recommend them for property sales in and around Tonbridge.

I admit, when I initially thought about selling my house, I considered using Purple Bricks and /or other online agents to avoid "COMMISERY " (as the advert says!)
I am so glad that I chose Waghorns. I honestly believe that without their intervention and negotiation that our sale could have collapsed.
My experience has been that they are a good "old fashioned Estate agency" who know every property on their books and try to match prospective buyers, not just concerned with getting people through the door, they get the right people through the door. They ensure that potential buyers are fully aware of the property they are viewing .
From the first visit to value my home I felt confidence in John's ability to sell my home, even in a challenging market. He also ensured all members of staff came to view my home so they could speak with confidence, enthusiasm and experience to potential buyers about my home.
Waghorn and Company truly put their heart and soul into ensuring our sale progressed. When lower down the chain were seemingly not communicating effectively with their clients, it was Waghorns, specifically Lisa , who doggedly held the chain together and ensured that we got to the point where we were in a position to 'get over the line' to exchange, which finally happened today. HURRAH!
Waghorns go above and beyond, it seems to me that each sale is personal as they are a small family run business and every sale matters.
