Overbearing, Inept, badly trained, badly informed. As a DIY landlord needing to move into rented for a spell, these guys proved my decision never to use agents is sound. From the outset they were awkward and inept and the nasty little inspection man they send round every quarter is the icing on the cake to make the experience truly miserable. This guy made the inspections feel like we'd be violated and I really sympathise with long term renters having to put up with this every single quarter. On points of law they were either inexperienced, ill-informed or perhaps both. We had water cascading from the eaves for literally weeks before it was dealt with, and even then the plumber wasn't authorised to do the job right. The house had a roomful of junk which took us literally months before they would finally arrange for a van to take it away. The only time they acted was when I said I'd be reallocating a portion of the rent towards "storage", at that point they were more interested in telling me (wrongly) that was illegal than actually tacking the problem like they should have done. In the end we brought forward our plans to buy a home and left. The sigh of relief we breathed must have been audible around the whole of Kent. But they were obstructive right to the very end, insisting on doing the checkout in secrecy despite being invited to do it jointly with me and discover/verify/rectify any issues transparently together on our last day. As a result, a month after leaving and presently the deposit is STILL in dispute with DPS. The citation from Ferris is at odds even with their own check out report, but entirely predictable from their conduct throughout the tenancy. If you're a tenant, sadly you're at the mercy of who the landlord chooses to make you deal with, but as a landlord I would urge you to PLEASE consider your future tenants and give these guys a miss. My opinion is that you'll get a higher turnover and more voids -- and you'll be paying handsomely for the "service". Edited on 27/5: Finally the deposit is being repaid. Ferris failed to provide DPS with any sort of evidence to substantiate their claims but obviously their plan to delay repayment for as long as possible paid off.

Viewed two different properties with Sara before making a decision, she was so friendly and helped us make a decision.

Poor service, didn't notify me about getting myself a viewing even after saying we were first on the list. Lied 3 times to us. One of those who pretend they are here for you or are friendly but as soon as they don't need you they don't even contact. Unfortunately you have to use them if the property is with them so nothing we can do, but would prefer not to.

Do not trust these crooks! They are truly horrible to their customers. We rented a property through Ferris and Co and from the start we should have known they weren't too be trusted. So many hidden extra costs just for them to do what is rightly their jobs (Β£300 to email or previous landlord and they kept messing that up!) Unfortunately for personal reasons we had to move home to Australia before the end of the tenancy. We gave plenty of notice and kindly the landlord allowed us to break the lease. We paid another Β£300+ to Ferris and Co for advertising but we neededβ to leave the country and felt pressured. Ferris and Co realised the position we were in and took full advantage. The advertising fee apparently just covered an additional on their own website, not even a poster in their window. When there had only been one inspection after a month we paid for advertising on smartmove and Gumtree and instantly had 3-4 enquiries or day. At every stage Ferris and Co had their hands out for more money. If we asked why they would say they were within their rights to charge us rent for the rest of the tenancy, out that they wouldn't give our bond back. They forced us to use their cleaner at inflated rates, we couldn't even get someone else in. All in all they made a tough situation truly awful. I really hope this business fails as the way they treat people is unethical and cruel.

Run by a team of unprofesionals, very rude to renters, takes ages for things like central heating, broken cupboards, windows to get repaired. The office "YTS" boy "Nick" is on a little power trip so try and avoid him if possible. There are other much better letting agencys in the Maidstone/Bearsted area so try them before settling on Ferris. If we could give this - a star we would

Tracy ford has been extremely helpful from the beginning until the completion of the process i.e. the move. She was extremely professional, prompt, polite and supportive. I had a few issues and these were resolved through Tracy. One of the best customer service I've had from an estate agency! Not one hiccup throughout the move.

I'm so very pleased with Ferris, I let my house out with them. I pay a management fee, so they take care of everything. Getting and vetting tenants, arranging repairs with their own contractors etc... Great communication and highly recommended by me.

This is the first time of using Ferris & Co, cannot rate them enough. Great communication and customer service since the first enquiry on a property made. Have Charly liaising with us on our move and providing everything without any problems. Great video tour of the property provided by Nick as well. Thank you both.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

To say F&C was useless and overbearing would be an understatement. Make sure to ask for a break clause in the tenancy.
I am sorry to hear you feel this way after your Landlord kindly allowed early release from your contract ,which was signed by yourself and your Landlord . I am afraid we do not offer break clause's of which clearly shows in all of our paperwork prior to taking a property. If you would like to discuss the situation with me direct I would be more than happy to speak to you.
