GoogleWe needed to sell our home quickly and the house builder we bought from recommended Unique.
Marketing was good. They took great photos of the house, shared in on social, put it on Rightmove etc.
They didn’t handle viewings well. They couldn’t book them in quickly enough and we had at least three cancel viewings before they had seen our house to buy something else. In the end we did our own viewings and got an offer from the first one. Then two more offers when that one fell through.
Once the sale was agreed we heard very little from Unique. Tried to call to see what was happening and when we could get through got “notes from the system” or promise of a call back. Mostly we spoke to our solicitor to find out what was happening.
The first we heard of a completion date from them was on the day we were moving to ask what we were doing with the keys 🙁
Had I wanted to chase the sale myself and do my own viewings I would probably have chosen an online estate agent. Of the three parts of this process (marketing, sales, after-sales) they did one very well and two poorly.
I was told I should be happy that I sold my house for only £3k under the asking price and not worry about the rest.NegativeResponsiveness, Value

Firstly I would like to thank you for taking time in writing this review, as a business we strive to improve and offer the best possible service. However, I feel it is important for me to reflect and respond to your negative review, as it could be potentially damaging to my business and put future clients off using Unique Estate Agency.
Your first point about the marketing, I do agree with you fully. We employ a full time professional photographer who has a university degree in photography and yes her photographs are excellent. Yes, we do put you on Rightmove, Zoopla, On the Market and numerous other portals in order to give you maximum exposure; some agents only put you on a select and limited number of portals. In relation to your point about the viewings, we always try to accommodate and accompany the viewings as much as possible, however If somebody is keen to look and we cannot accommodate we always check with our vendors if they are able to do the viewings. We have notes where we have checked with you and the notes reported say “vendor is more than happy to conduct the viewing”. If somebody buys another property, before they get to look at yours, it is out of our control, if a buyer genuinely was interested in your house then they would be happy to wait. With regards to your point about hearing very little from ourselves once we had agreed your sale, we have numerous dates and times where updates have been given to you; our “notes on our system” are documented and verify this. In relation to getting more updates from your solicitor, this is what you pay your solicitor to do, naturally we update you as much as we can and we get our updates from the solicitors. Again the point about not hearing anything until completion is completely untrue, we have documented dates and times of communication with yourselves; if you would like, I can certainly provide the exact times and dates. I am not going to apologise for selling your home for very close to your asking price, I am disappointed that you felt the need to write a negative review, refuse to pay our bill for nearly a month after completion; something that has never happened before. If you were so unhappy, would it not have been prudent to have discussed this during the process of your sale, and not bring these points to our attention nearly a month after. You had already moved out of your house when we were chasing our payment for selling your home (something that we should not have to do), at this point there was nothing I could have done about it; you had ample chance to inform me or the Sales Manager about being upset with the apparent lack of contact. Again, thank you for your review and we do wish you well in your new home.

Really delighted by this agency. The market is buoyant but we sold within a week of the board going up! Dominique and Suzanne have been helpful and I would certainly trust their judgment. Sam was #1 in his valuation and negotiations. Waiting now for the house to complete.

GoogleAnd this was your review - Great! Sold our daughter’s house in just over a week. Marketed it how we she wanted it doing and at an agreed price. And did the viewings. Fast efficient and professional. Kept her in the loop even if it meant going through her protective dad! Gave good advice not only for the house she was selling but also on her new house which was for sale through another agent.
As for Dominica….just excellent, remembered our names from nearly 15 years ago when we last dealt with her not sure if that says more about Dominica’s memory or me for being memorable either way it was like meeting up with an old friend she was very reassuring during what has become quite turbulent times.

We wanted to sort a mortgage but weren't sure where to go. Suzanne was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad we went with their recommendation. Not only did she sort out a great mortgage but she sorted out life insurance, house and contents insurance, therefore removing alot of the stress of buying a house at a difficult time. GoogleI originally had my house on the market with a different estate agent and I guess was just very unlucky that whilst it generated offers very quickly, the sales subsequently fell through as the buyers lost their own sale. Things then went very quiet so I changed to Unique.
I was pretty stressed about the whole situation at that stage however there are no words to describe the service and support I got from Unique. All the staff I had dealings with were totally professional and extremely supportive but most of my contact was with Dominica.
My house sold within weeks and Dominica was totally on it chasing any outstanding queries and progressing the sale on a continual basis. In addition she kept me informed and up to date every step of the way.
She also helped me a lot with the purchase of my new house. Despite the fact that there was a fairly long chain the whole process of sale and purchase was made a lot less stressful for me because of Dominica's work and efforts to keep the chain moving. I can't express how grateful I was for everything she did and in the unlikely event I was ever selling again I would want Dominica on it all the way.
If you are looking for an estate agent you can't go wrong with Unique.
