I had a deeply disappointing experience with Entwistle Green, particularly with an agent named Joe Jaison. I arranged to rent a property through them and paid both the deposit and the first month’s rent after viewing the house with Joe. He showed me the property, and everything was discussed clearly or so I thought.

First I left a message on Rightmove asking them not to call during the day and they promptly did. Then I've left them multiple messages asking them to email me about a house without my number and they can't be bothered responding. Useless!

TrustpilotEntwistle - Old Swan Branch
Old Swan Branch - As a company they are abhorent and make the process for first time buyers stressful and difficult. Rang up for several properties, no viewings offered as was supposedly under offer, took copious amounts of information, offered a paid package to search and offer first viewing options before properties come on the market. Bombarded me daily with sales pitches and mortgage advise deals emails and other nonsense. I have continued to block and report. Money hungry scammers.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS AGENT AGAIN, so unprofessional and unorganised and the most rudest women who deals with deposits. I had lived in my little flat for nearly 13 years very happily only be told that the owner was wanting to sell, this isnt the issue, the issue is how i was managed by the Allerton Road branch and the rude and obnoxious the lady who deals with deposits. i spent many hours cleaning the apartment before leaving and had photographic evidence of this only to receive a report to the contrary saying it was dirty dusty and in a state of disrepair, i looked after this property whilst there and it was spotless when i left. I really want to make a complaint about the whole thing but i cant find an email address to contact.

This letting agency is the worst, I was booked in for a viewing, when I got there nobody showed up, I spend over 30mins waiting and they still didn’t show up , I tried calling and they didn’t even pick to atleast explain to me why they didn’t show up , run from them guys !!!

Dreadful. Told us that we had to be there in person to view properties when we're trying to move from another city and work full time so we can't go in person. Won't do virtual viewings or phone calls for us and won't accept offers without viewing the property first. Shambles. How do people move cities when they can't be at all accommodating for anyone else's needs? Embarrassing company and embarrassing policies. Totally unhelpful staff who just sigh down the phone at you. Makes moving so much more stressful when it's completely unnecessary. Just offer virtual viewings!Edit: made the long trip for a viewing. They didn't even bother to show up. This was after changing the time at the last minute and getting our booking wrong multiple times.

A very disappointing experience, would avoid. My first tenant through an agent was unfortunately with Entwistle Green (Allerton branch) checks were supposedly carried out before moving in, but somehow huge debt was carried over and bailiffs still attend my property for them, even now they have moved on. I was continuously told one thing over the phone, and then an email would shortly follow to say something different, which shows poor communication amongst the team. My house was fully turned into a cannabis farm for the 12month duration of the tenancy, which the (third party) who carried out an inspection failed to notice or take photos of the many holes cut out of the ceilings, electric cupboard, or related equipment lying around. Once I carried out the 12 month inspection myself and saw the significant water damage, I referred back to the 6 month photos by third party and when zoomed in the evidence was there for them to see!Once I got the tenant out, I was owed rent arrears, and to add insult to injury EW asked for £150 for a check out inspection (same third party with attention to detail) and the rent/legal protection cover I'd paid for all along failed to protect me/refuse to assist because it was under 2 months worth of rent owed. I tried solid for a week to get in touch with the office, left multiple voicemails, and after emailing I was promised a call back and heard nothing. Even though I wouldn't dream about going through these agents again, I was surprised by them ignoring me, as fee's would be involved for them in helping me find a new tenant. Overall shocking experience with this agent, and was enough to put anyone off renting property out.

GoogleCorrupt. I made an offer on a bungalow in cleveleys. Never heard back. Entwistle Green then asked to see a bank statement from me to prove I had funds to purchase the bungalow. I provided this to Natalie in branch. I was told that the bungalow was sold to someone else. The bungalow is still stood empty months later. I think the bungalow is in probate and they are running the price down to sell it at a cheap price to a friend--who will probably give them some cash to say thanks. The teenager boy that works there is a rude and has no knowledge about property either. I would guess that the excellent reviews are not real as they are all from fake accounts that have only left one excellent review for Entwistle Green

GoogleMy house had been on sale since April 2018. After 2 bad expeirences with other Estate Agents, one of whom was more interested in getting a good deal for the developers they obviously had agreements with, and another who was not at all proactive, within one week of signing with Entwistle Green I has an acceptable offer on the table. The advice I was given was professional and and remembered that I was the client not the buyer. The time from offer and completion was very fast and fairly stress free.

We had an extremely poor experience with Entwistle Green. The service and communication were awful. On one occasion we were even told that the vendor was angry and had been put on speakerphone so the entire office could listen. Completely unprofessional.

GoogleNot the cheapest estate agents but the old adage is true, you get what you pay for. Selling a property is one of the biggest and most important transactions most people will conduct. The service, communication and advice of the Entwistle Green staff throughout the sale was excellent. This was especially true in the final stages of the negotiations that achieved a timely and successful conclusion to the whole process. I can strongly recommend the Thornton-Cleveleys team especially my main POC Liam and also Natalie
