GoogleGreat agency. One of the best, if not the best in the county. Sam Watson in particular was super helpful - got my flat sold within just 4 days of it me reaching out regarding the sale of it. I’ve never known an agent to be so on the case! If you’re looking for a quick sale I’d recommend asking for him specifically.

Miles and Barr explained my options very clearly, they had good rationale for the valuation that was made and advised me on how to progress the marketing. Their approach worked well, I don't feel I lost touch with them at any time. The member of staff who liaised between the conveyancers, the buyers and me, once an offer was accepted, was absolutely exceptional in pushing the sale forward and I'm not sure how long it might have taken without her.

The selling process can be long and stressful at times but it was good to have an agent who was switched on and involved in the whole chain feeding information along and reassuring me at the most crucial time.Lisa Cook offered professional and friendly support at a crucial point of my sale and purchase.Moving can be challenging but if you have the support and up to date information regarding your chain the process can proceed in a better way for everyone. Miles & Barr recently sold my property in Margate. Every member of the team I dealt was incredibly professional and helpful throughout - from the initial valuation to the viewings, and then to supporting the final sale. A particular shout-out to Louise, who helped coordinate (and move along) the exchange and completion, when the solicitors on both sides were operating at a snail's pace. Just one piece of advice: find new partner solicitors, Miles & Barr, they were terrible!

GoogleThey will work with whoever is giving them the biggest cut. Contracts havent been exchanged and no money recieved but they forced the tenants out of the property and gave the buyer all access to the building. Weve lost about 30 years worth of family history. The buyer offered to empty and store our loft stuff but he didnt and Miles and Barr did nothing in helping us amend contracts regarding this. Hope youve got alot of cash, otherwise youre just working with the enemy here!
Hi Charles, Thanks for your review. If I may just address your concerns, It took us a week to find yourself a buyer and just over 7 weeks to exchange and complete on the sale, which is good going bearing in mind its taking around 12-14 weeks currently. The sale exchanged and completed on the same day and therefore the new owner was legally allowed to enter the property. However, I understand this wasn’t the case and you wouldn’t allow the new owner to take possession of his property. It was agreed that the new owner was going to help you clear your last belongings inside after completion, however this wasn’t the case and he was greeted by all of your possessions still in-tact. With regards to losing some of your family history, you will have to take this up with him I’m afraid. Miles & Barr can’t take any responsibility for this. We appreciate you using Miles and Barr for the sale of the property and hope you can see that during the period of the sale we were professional and helpful throughout.

Ramsgate moles And Barr must be the worst estate agents I’ve ever used. They got me to sign saying they’ve got someone in mind. Nothing came with that just to get me to sign as soon as I signed. I hadn’t heard anything from him for weeks and weeks I rang up to see what was happening, and the agent I was dealing with has left the office and not working there anymore, I asked someone about my property and they haven’t got a clue about it. No one at the Ramsgate agents has even been round my property to look. I rang up to complain and 28 minutes after I had a viewing what a load of rubbish they must think I’m stupid then after that still hadn’t heard anything for weeks rang up again for them to say to drop my property £30,000, so I done it on their recommendation and still haven’t heard from them so two weeks ago, I gave them two weeks notice to take my property off the market they said yes that’s fine not even asked me if there’s any problems if there’s anything they can do why am I taking the property off the market nothing from them whatsoever I said to the lady on the phone do I have to do this in writing, she didn’t have a clue and asked to ask two other colleagues if I had to then came on the phone and said yes you have to so I’ve done this. The time has come and this property should’ve been off three days ago so I rang them and said why is my property still live on the market , I don’t know I’ll do what I can today to take it off. Absolute rubbish do not use

Have been renting through M&B for about 3 years and I have had to raise many issues with the property which were not fixed.Terrible conditions of the property which I had to fix myself i.e redecorating, sorting out a disgusting garden which was overgrown with weeds due to the back garden being connected to a highly dense bush and this kept growing through into the garden.I have had my entire deposit withheld and the landlord left me in a terrible financial position right before Christmas. I cleaned the property to the best of my ability before leaving but apparently this was not enough. Shocking service throughout the tenancy.

BEWARE- DO NOT USE. The only agent that charge the seller for photos. Before the house went live I was approx £400 out of pocket. Agreed to 12 weeks which suddenly changed to 20 weeks. The sales adviser left so M&B couldn’t confirm the agreed duration. The property was shelved. Not one person viewed in 20 weeks. Only communication was to ask us to reduce the price. It just wasn’t working. I asked to go multiple agents M&B refused outright. I asked to reduce the length of the contract which was also refused. I’m very confused why they still wanted the house on the books. I hoped the manager of the ramsgate branch would be sympathetic but no just rude. I finally went to the head office. This was a waste of time. Still not allowed to reduce the contract length. Miles & Barr are not the company they once were. The reviews clearly tell the story in black and white. I will never use them again. What a waste of 20 weeks.

Terrible people. Very unprofessional. Use of avoidance tactics. Don’t reply to messages & overprice the properties. I guess if they do sell larger commission onto of all the other extras in v small print. Ask them why they don’t publish photos of their reps. Some would say they are buying their own properties. Please do your due diligence before you chose to use these charletons.
