We were excited to commit to buy our new build home with Croudace Homes Ltd in Blakemore Manor, Hertford.My wife and I would highly recommend Croudace to anyone buying a new build home for the quality of build, together with excellent pre move in sales assistance, technical customer service and post move in customer care.

In July I visited the offices in Tupwood Lane to find info on your developments in West Sussex.The receptionist was most unhelpful as Ididn’t know the names of the developments,she did not offer to look them up, there were no brochures available and no salesmen to hand to help me. I left in disgust.

TrustpilotAvoid Croudace built houses and flats like a plague
We are living in a Croudace built house. It's currently 6 years old. Shower has leaked into the wall and the guy who came to fix it said that apparently "this is a Croudace special, they do not seal showers off properly." When I've spoken to people on our development, this has happend to almost everyone in these houses. They use spotlight fixtures which blow out in a few years and you cannot just replace the bulb, you have to replace the entire light fixture. All radiators and all bathroom chrome fixtures have started rusting over; bathroom radiators are really bad. Surely if you're putting fixtures up in bathrooms, they have to have some kind of moisture protection?! Sealants around the bath, shower, sinks and all kitchen appliances are shockingly bad and smudged in places - it looks like a 5 year old has been learning on these houses. All floors on the 1st floor creak really badly (wood laid on wood with no layer in between?!). Moisture and dirt gets trapped between two layers of double glazed windows and the windows do not shut out any sounds, smells or even wind - really bad quality. Frames around doors have started cracking now.This house is only 6 years old and I dread to see what it will look like in another 6. We have to move before it falls apart completely! Shockingly bad fixtures and "workmanship" used throughout the house. The problem is that it all looks fine cosmetically until you actually start living in these houses. Will make sure I will never move into a Croudace house again in my life.Please note none of these are actual 'wear and tear' cases. We have lived in different house before for almost 5 years and it was much older and we have never had problems like these.

Absolutely love our development in West Sussex, the house is just what we were searching for and a great location. The team were very helpful even after a few delays, they kept us up to date and got us moved in before Christmas. We were the second house moved in on the development and it's a lovely and friendly community.

Don’t buy from this company They changed the lease after I brought the flat and allowed my arrogant neighbors laminate flooring. I can hear everything including sexual acts disgusting! Croudace as pathetic the flat is so poorly built, customer services need training including the legal team the women I have been dealing with is a moron, she doesn’t read emails correctly and her answers are pathetic kind of reminds me of a parrot! You changed the lease after the purchased the flat, and won’t send me a copy! My Solictior stated only one copy has been issued. I have a medical issue that the loud banging and thumping doesn’t help and Croudace do not Care once they have your money that’s it. Your a disgusting company.

With glossy brochures and fabulously styled show homes Croudace certainly know how to sell you a lifestyle. However Croudace are very theatrical in their methods as the smoke and mirrors hide a multitude of sins! Coming up to 2 years of living in my new home made by Croudace and barely a month passes without having to speak to their care team. My home has been riddled with problems from heating, plumbing, flooding, incorrect ventilation, door alignments, poorly fitted windows.... the list goes on. Sadly the care from Croudace is lacking. No sympathy and no urgency when dealing with the issues they have inflicted upon us. When engineers do eventually attend to correct the endless faults they are often poorly skilled and blame other trades for the issue and leave without resolving the matter. I honestly don’t have a positive word to say at all about Croudace.

We have been in our croudace new build since may 2022. Croudace have always been helpful and quick to respond to any issues (we had a blocked drain caused by us) which they fixed free of charge and quickly. Sales office staff were always patient and helpful. All around a good experience.

BEWARE! Croudace Homes use unscrupulous tactics when it comes to selling. My Son has had an horrendous experience with them. A first time buyer, using Help to Buy, his purchase was pulled on the day of exchange with no explanation, no apology. Absolutely disgusting service - they do not care about their customers in the slightest. Use these developers at your peril!!!
