GoogleI am a landlord & I have recently started working with Claire at DB Roberts, she is a wecome addition to their team. Most recently working with her when DBR arrange regular inspections of our properties & these are very important to us. They also follow up on any concerns we have & lias between us & our tenants if needed where they are always a fair 'middle man' between landlord & tenant. They always have any trades people that are needed to carry out any maintenance or repairs that our properties may need. Always great team work.

TrustpilotOk, but avoid taking AVrillo solicitors through them!!!!
At the beginning, the service was fine and communication was decent. However, as the sale progressed and there was limited interest, they were initially reluctant to reduce the asking price. Only later, as the contract period was coming to an end, did they start actively looking for buyers. They also recommend AVRillo solicitors, who in my experience were very poor and had several unexpected or hidden costs, so I would not personally recommend that route. When the survey came back lower than the agreed sale price, the situation became less straightforward and felt unnecessarily complicated at times by the agent. Eventually, the property did sell for the original price through them, but in the later stages I had to chase most updates myself. Communication became weak, and I often had to call to find out basic progress updates. Contact with my solicitor was also not easy, which added further stress to the process. Overall, an acceptable service at the start, but weaker support and communication in the later stages of the sale.

I spoke to Nicole at DB Roberts early Saturday morning to report an urgent repair and within less than 2 hours a plumber had called me to say they were on their way to fix the repair. By Saturday afternoon the repair was completed. Prompt professional and understanding honestly can't thank DB Roberts enough!

Happily going ahead with a sale of our property thinking we had a sale with DB Roberts, who had sold the property we had offered on to another purchaser and not bothered informing us. Lack of communication and empathy. Left high and dry and devastated. In response to the reply below, you were informed that I had reduced my property by 5k in order that we could get a new seller, which happened. You told me that the seller ‘would be happy to wait a couple of weeks’. At no time were we informed that you had gone ahead with another buyer or I’d have kept my asking price the same.
We're sorry to hear how disappointed you felt and we completely understand how upsetting the situation must have been. On our system we can see that we spoke with you on 18th March 2025, when you let us know that your sale had unfortunately fallen through and you were unable to proceed with your purchase. Following this update, the sellers of the property you had offered on made the decision to continue with another buyer who was in a position to proceed. Engaged DB Roberts to sell a property, Communication was dreadful, in a 12 week period i was promised call backs on five separate occasions that just didn't happen. When I complained I was promised a manager would be my single point of contact going forward - guess what? She didnt return my call! Following an email complaint the staff chose not to phone me (as the complainant and main contact on the sale) instead opting to phone my 82 year old mother (the property owner). On another occasion I progress chased and was told they hadn't anything to report as they couldn't contact a recent viewer. I chased a week later to be told they'd spoken to them shortly after my previous call but they just hadnt bothered to update me. Generally made to feel unimportant and an inconvenience. Have now moved agents.
