GoogleHi Very bad experience Putting ad in the right move but enquiring time they don't have property at the moment it actually like a frauding why your doing if some urgently looking sending mail no response waste of time and effort so all pls be aware of this type scam pls kindly request if you don't have property pls remove the ad pls make us fool and wasting our time

This is the second time I have used Wilkie May and Tuckwood in Wellington to sell and buy property and I rate them as the best estate agent in the area, I couldn't imagine using another agent! Their staff are easy to communicate with, supportive, friendly and responded quickly to any concerns or issues that came up. Their staff really do work as a tight team and do their very best to take the stress out of selling and purchasing your home. At their helm, John in particular was good at using a little humour to help one gain perspective at times. Appreciated!

Excellent and efficient customer service! We dealt with Emmajayne, David and Steve, all of whom were fantastic from the start of the process (putting our house on the market), through the sale of our property with the help of the Emmajayne (what an asset to the company) and her finding us a new family home. We decided to buy our next property via Wilkie May & Tuckwood, mainly due to the service we received on our sale - it also helps that they have a sizable housing stock! It's so impressive that nothing appeared too much to ask the team, who regularly spent extra time to ensure we felt reassured. Moving home can be stressful at times, but Steve acted as a great link between Wilkie and the solicitors, taking the time to keep me updated and in chasing for progress, we managed to exchange much sooner given the help we received and I was most grateful for the 'after-sales' experience. GoogleHaving used Wilkie May & Tuckwood over 6 times in the past 5 years for buying and selling they have been nothing but excellent and are always extremely professional. Having normally dealt with David, he is always very approachable and a very friendly guy. Buying and selling can sometimes be a stressful time but the whole process is always run very smooth and we are always kept in the picture with timescales, they always going above and beyond to get the sale over the line. I always recommend them to family and friends.

Even though just before Christmas the landlord decided to advise us that they would be selling the property, Justin was straight on the case and found us a suitable property within a few days. GoogleThis agent has been so unprofessional with our rental property. We are overseas so we put a lot of trust into the management of our house. First they were keeping our rental payment for months in their bank account before paying us. It got so bad that we had to get the tenants to pay us direct. They admitted to poor management and loss of our paperwork, including contract at this time. The annual report never reflected the true state of the property. 4 photos are not enough!! They should have been taking at least 30-40 photos. Damp that we found a year ago which we never knew about until we visited the property, render on garden wall falling off, cupboards next to oven burnt and discoloured, to name a few of the issues. This was so upsetting that we decided to sell the property. Then to add salt to the wound we had to pay the agent 1% of the selling price as our tenants bought it, who they had found for us. Be aware of that clause we had forgotten about it as it had been many years since we had signed this contract. You really need to be checking your house yourself to make sure it is being maintained. Sadly we were only too willing to maintain our property if we had known more. What we did see from the photos we did attend to but that also took months to get done, although emergency work was attended to promptly. As a result of the lack of upkeep we had to reduce the asking price. Lesson learned and hopefully the agents read this and manage their properties much better!!
Thank you for your email. I will reply by email in greater detail but we wanted to mention that the damp problems and render issues were reported after every visit we did since 2017 and continually until 2023. Periodic visits are a snapshot of the house at the time of our visit and 40 odd photos could be deemed as being intrusive against the tenants who have been in the property since our management started in 2008. I am not sure what you mean about us losing the lease as this is on file and will be sent to you. At no point following your visit to the house in April 2023 have any of the above matters been mentioned to us. I am sorry our management has ended on a sour note.

Difficult market conditions made the sale challenging but received good advice throughout which eventually got the sale over the line at a reasonable price. Living a long distance from the property also added complexity but members of the team were always on hand to help make things happen. Excellent service.
